  1. I agree, middle TN is the best way to go. Memphis and Chattanooga are both too far out of the way for the opposing sides of the state.
  2. As much as I despise McMinn fans, I must say LH10-- you just got served.
  3. I'm having some trouble understanding how anyone was proven wrong. Did Ooltewah defeat some quality teams that I am not aware of? And did they not get put out in one of the weakest regions in the state?
  4. I hate McMinn County fans. You are the worst.
  5. I know I'm a little late, but I just noticed this thread. In response to the original post, I would have to say no, Ooltewah is not any good.
  6. WuSoccer3, As I said before-- You are the king of putting the most unnecessary, irrelevant, meaningless garbage in your posts. I never questioned anything in your post being correct. I'm sure you know everything there is to know about teams from 2001 and 2002. But like I said that is unnecessary, irrelevant, and meaningless now. What happened 2 and 3 years ago between teams, what could be now but isn't, what you would like to see but can't, and what in reality is not taking place, doesn't matter. And while I'm sure it may be important to you, no one asked if Cleveland could have been good this year, or if they used to be any good, or who would have won this game if the players from teams from a few years ago were present. So WuSoccer3, I hope my post has been informative and helpful, and in the future you can become a poster who includes necessary, relevant, and meaninful information in your posts.
  7. I bet whoever he is, he doesn't have a cool nickname like "The Bus."
  8. Well said everyone. This thread is unnecessary. Farragut will win.
  9. Props to soccermadness. It's good to see someone has done their research and knows what they're talking about.
  10. That's not what he's saying. There is a greater percentage of "poor" teams in AAA than there is in DII, therefore some AAA teams "pad their stats" against a greater number of poor teams. There is no arguing this point; it is a fact. Price may be a great ball player, but scoring 20 goals, when a great many of them come against teams such as Cumberland or Rhea County, doesn't do anything to support that opinion.
  11. I would like to take this opportunity to tip my hat to Guesswho? in honor of his 1000th post. Also, I would like to commend him in finding a way to incoporate roses smelling like poo poo poo into a post. Simply breathtaking. Also, we all might as well stop debating the Brentwood/ Farragut who's no. 1 issue. It will be settled soon enough. Meanwhile, let's all take a peaceful break and salute the shorts of the very virtuous Guesswho?
  12. Playdo Posted on Apr 15 2004 - 01:28 PM Is that what it means? I thought it was "String The Ferret Up" in reference to, of course, the great Ferret escape of 1847 in lower Manhattan when Japan invaded. Playdo, Humorous comment, however you need to get the date right. 1947 buddy. There wasn't even a noticeable number of ferrets in lower Manhattan in the 1800s as a whole. Anyway, Japan didn't have the technology to launch any sort of invasion on the U.S. at that time, and certainly wouldn't have chosen Manhattan as an invasion point if they did. The year was 1947 and it wasn't a true invasion. Rather, it was an attempted coup (and a poorly done one) carried out by several angry Japanese Americans to get back at the U.S. for its treatment of Japanese Americans during WWII. But once again, still a humorous comment.
  13. I can tell you all about the Dirty Sanchez
  14. I know this is the cross country forum, and I'm sorry to intrude, but you guys seem pretty nice and I thought maybe you could help me. Can anyone tell me where the thread for unicycling is? My school has a pretty good team, and I was hoping to get on here and say some good things about them, check up on them and all. Some help would be nice.
  15. Guesswho? Posted on Apr 8 2004 - 08:46 AM This is McMinn County's year. Guesswho?: while I'm sure you have reasons for your statement I will have to disagree. Every year the Chinese calendar features an animal. Example: last year was the year of the goldfish, and Farragut won (Admirals, closely related to goldfish). And 2004 is the year of the mountain lion. So, any of you teams out there who's mascot is a mountain lion, or closely related to one, you're in luck.
  16. Of course they can. The only question is how. I've never really played soccer or been to a soccer game, but I'll tell you what I would do. I know this is soccer, not hockey, and reality, not a Disney Movie, but, I would try the flying V plan from the Mighty Ducks. I'm sure it sounds silly, but really there's no weaknesses to the plan. At least give it a try Rhea. If it doesn't work then I'll be pretty surprised. But don't worry, if it doesn't work, I'm sure I can come up with something else. And, what have you got to lose? Besides the rest of your games of course. Plus, if you're worried about respect, a good record isn't the only way to get it. Anyone can respect a team that does the flying V. Good luck.
  17. Playdo, I don't want to be rude or anything, but you really don't know much about soccer. You should try track and field, it's easier to understand. And to the guys having the football vs. soccer convo, I once saw Thiery Henry and Terrell Owens in a footrace and Owens won. But Henry wasn't used to wearing pads, so I don't think it was fair.
  18. I'm going to have to go with Bennie Marroon. We raced the other day and he beat me pretty bad. I was impressed. I'm not sure if he runs track or not, but I he should. I won every event on field day back in the 7th grade, so he's UNSTOPPABLE. So you might just want to add Bennie Marroon to your list.
