Three classes for soccer is interesting, but the bigger "game changer" is the D2 transition.

Coach Wallie Culbreth, former Farragut coach for many many years, passed away yesterday from health issues. He was a dear friend of mine, and we shared many games from opposite benches. He and I always made our senior nights against each other. Coach, you will be missed. From his son: Receiving of Friends for my Father will be at Martin Funeral Home in Oak Ridge. 1017 Oak Ridge Turnpike. Tuesday July 26th 4-8pm. Burial and Graveside Service will be Wednesday July 27th at 10:30am at Pleasant Forest Cemetery in Farragut.

Hello from Brazil! Don't have the best internet here but I was able to post the All State Teams for all divisions on our Twitter feed. @THSSCS When I return to the states I will copy and paste the lists on the thread.

Game is officially "on" for Sunday, June 5, at 5:00 pm.

Due to weather situation and safety of all we are postponing the All Star game to Sunday at 5pm. Coaches and players PLEASE reply via r mail with your players availability to play Sunday ASAP. We will then re-evaluate the situation.

Also, please note: Being chosen for the All Star game does NOT mean that a player will be selected for the THSSCA All State team. These are separate events.

CAK played an excellent game and finished the chances they had. Nothing should be taken away from the accomplishment that they achieved this season. A big congrats to Coach Day and the CAK squad! Well done.

CAK won in overtime over Catholic (2-1). We played a very good Page game tonight and won 2-1 in regulation. CPA will play MLK. Page will travel to White House.

I just saw Dobyns Bennett at 3. Good luck Cats. I'll be cheering for you. Jose, get to work! (You are allowed to use your right foot, too, by the way).

The game will be held on June 6 at 7:00 pm at Drakes Creek Field of Dreams. Following TSSAA guidelines, the only players allowed to play are seniors, whose eligibility in high school is finished. This is open to all divisions (AAA, A/AA, and D2). Coaches, if you would like to nominate any of your players download the nomination form here . Also, we strongly encourage any and all coaches to join the Tennessee High School Soccer Coaches Association. It is a minimal fee ($20 per year) and it allows all players to be nominated for All State, All Region, and All American. It also is an organization that gives voice in the TSSAA discussions of rule changes and proposals. Lastly, when included with the NSCAA membership, gives $1,000,000 in liability insurance. Joe, do you have the contact information for the Madison coach? I am needing some information from him.

It had to do with a possible proposal that would have put both the girls and guys season in the same time of year. This would make it very difficult for team that has one coach for two teams.
