  1. I am sure I will stir the pot here.... What will you do with open zoned public schools once we are gone?
  2. I like it MUCH better when you all play Page....
  3. I think the problem is in the coaching (mostly the volunteer assistants).
  4. Loudon and Alcoa could make some SERIOUS noise in the post season. Talking with 2 coaches who have played them, they are definitely proving themselves to be feared. I know I voted them higher than they are, as I did with Alcoa. Alcoa definitely changes the mix in that district! CAK plays Alcoa this Friday. Heritage should make a nice run, too. Again, these rankings don't mean a whole lot (and definitely don't mean anything in the post season) but they do give us something to debate about, for sure!

  6. Didn't know if everyone saw that Alcoa beat Catholic 4-1and only lost to Maryville 3-2. Also, Loudon tied both Boyd and White house this season. Some "dark horses" showing up here late. CAK plays Alcoa next week... should be an interesting match up to watch.

  10. What I meant was that besides Hudl, there was no other option for uploading full games.
  11. I also agree. I was very surprised at the decision, as well. This opened the door for a lot of situations, however, I don't know if anyone has gone through that door besides CCS.
  12. Most everything we do is met with skepticism. I do question others skepticism because I personally know the administration here so I have a better view of things from the inside out. I wouldn't work with someone who I didn't trust or believe in. I guess I will take my role as "acting above reproach" with some pride. Feel free to question what we do, or get a chuckle out of it. It is always good to get a laugh out of situations. At least there is some spice to the boards on this. It was getting rather bland recently.
  13. I just started using it 2 weeks ago. While the concept is good, they still need some "tweaking" for the soccer side of things. My football team can edit clips (as of now, I can only tag or make a highlight clip). I do like the idea of my boys having access to it and for them to make highlight videos of their own play, however it is frustrating at this point. There is no other option for uploading 80 minutes of game film (youtube requires a confirmed e mail and it is too much for vimeo). Dekalb, you can also try it for 30 days for free. Also, if other teams at your school use it, you are discounted (and if 5 teams at your school use it, there is no charge for teams after 5)

  15. Should be up by tomorrow at noon. Had to wait on a couple of coaches to get their votes in. And YES, there will be quite the shake up.
  16. What I find strangly odd is that since day 1 of D2, the A to AA split has always been 529 (from 2013-2017). How they came up with 450, I have no idea.
  17. Actually, the "magical" number would have been 450, and NOT 449 (we could have still had an enrollment of 450 and been in D2 A). Not really sure how this "exposed" us to anything, as we took the actual number of students we had enrolled. It wasn't the best way to get enrollment, either. Take an average over several years, not a "as of Sept. 14 this is how many we have enrolled". I also don't know how they come up with 450, regardless. I'm fine with being in either D2 A or D2 AA. We play those bigger schools anyway during regular season. I do find it odd how they handled the CCS situation. I also didn't find it on any of the minutes.
  18. I REALLY liked #2 and #17. Quality players. Your boys never gave up, even when down 3-0. Should be interesting to see how they do in the post season!
