  1. I believe Pope has the abillity to score 35+ against any1 they have left to play, regular season or playoffs. With Sneed gone the defense has to find itself. Against a good teams, as they will be playong in a few weeks, Pope's defense will also give up 35+. I'm not really sure about Franklin Co. but i do beleive Pope will come out w/a victory.
  2. All i have to say is that Davidson is a decent team playing against well below average teams in DII-A. Thats the nicest way to say it.
  3. Lets think here guys. It was 28-0 last year. I know JPII is improved from last, and when they play like they should all the time they are greatly improved. As a previous player I will let you in on a little secret I know. JPII hates BGA about as bad a Father Ryan. My first year playing againt them they beat the heck outta us like 58-20 or somthing and played their starters the whole time. We took it a little personal. They tried to beat us a badly as possible. It will be worse than 28-0 this time. BGA will score but I promise JPII will score more than 28. Webb put up 35 and I promise JPII will score more. Last year I was pumped up more about this game than any other regular season game. We have a chip on our shoulders when it comes to them. They WILL ROMP them on their home turf just as the did us my junior year...you can but on that.
  4. Thats great to hear you support the program. I played everything on the line and was captain my junior year. I might see ya at the bowl game at DA...i wanna check this kid out.
  5. Division II, you a Pope supporter? I graduated last year.
  6. Honestly I think they need to win by 5 touchdowns to prove thet're ready. I mean they lost to the Webb and ECS and they will have both beat BGA by at least that much. I'm not trying to get ahead but they better put up at least 42 points on BGA...at least. The next three games should all be like this. It will be a great boost going into the playoffs. Thats just my opinion.
  7. I have a hard time believeing he is another Golden. It's hard to gage talent when you're 12 or 13. Maybe so, but platers like Golden are few and far between around here.
  8. Anyone read the Tennessean today and see the write-up on Golden Tate from Pope John Paul II. He is the real deal, best reciever and flat out player in the midstate.
  9. Yea, he's still at JPII, teaching math and religion. He loves it over there but I think he just wanted to sped time with his wife. He was my advisor my sophomore year over there. He's an amazing guy and he'll definatly be at the game. He was prbobly the best math teacher I've ever had and was definatly my favorite teacher at Pope.
  10. Damon doesn't coach football anymore. He took some time off two years ago so he could spend more time with his family during the summer. He's a great guy though, and I know he's really looking forward to the game.
  11. I'm pretty sure it starts at 7:30 and the tickets will probobly be $6. I think this will be a great game. This is another great chance for Pope to prove themselves against another great Middle Tennesse team. 2-0 at home, lets keep it going boys.
  12. It really surprise me that Pope John Paul's Golden Tate is not already on here. Golden had 130 yards recieving and 70 yards rushing along with FIVE TOUCHDOWNS and a kickoff return that helped his team to a 55-52 OT victory. You can see all Golden's highlights on schoolsportsradio.com

    JPII vs. ECS

JPII's coming off crazy OT win and ECS off defeat from a great team. Who takes this region game?
  14. He's about 6'0, 185, and i've got no idea about 40...he ws playing baseball in South Carolina when 40's were ran.
  15. Well which clip was that because I cant seem to find it.
  16. You've got to be kidding about BGA. They are the worst team in DII-AA. how do you expect them to beat the best?

    Best JR in TN

Junior from Pope John Paul II. He is amazing.
  18. I know Pope John Paul scrimmaged Hillwood and scored two quick TD's via the legs of Golden Tate and held the Hillwood offense to practically nothin on their first two series, afterwhich the JPII starters came out and Hillwood put it to our second and third string. Hillwood is not very impressive although they have some big guys, none of which can move. I'm not sure how Gallatin is this year but i do believe Gallatin will win this game. Gallatin 24-14
  19. I'd say anyone in DII-AAA has a very hard schedule. Pope John Paul II has it hard also 1- Greenbrier 2- Father Ryan High School 3- Knoxville Webb 4- Goodpasture 5- Evangelical Christian 6- MBA 7- Harding Academy 8- BGA 9- Franklin Co. 10- St. Benedict
  20. Through the second game of the season Golden Tate of Pope John Paul has 7 catches for 211 yards 19 carries for 230 yards and six touchdowns. Florida and UT have both been at the last two games also. Total yards he has over 700 yards against 3A state runner-up Greenbrier and DII-AAA Father Ryan. And im glad to see Sam is playing in the secondary...Golden has three interceptions and a fumble recovery already. Why wasn't Sam in the paper for being a college prospect? Golden was one of only four juniors, but i guess they forgot poor ole' Sam. So who is Sam Youree?
  21. JPII and Webb both come in off two big wins for each school. The two teams split 1-1 last year but JPII got rocked by Webb 42-21 in the first round of the playoffs. Just wondering people's thoughts from JPII and Webb.
  22. I don't know maybe Golden Tate JPIIHS...no brainer
  23. Well i remember in a thread a few days ago Sneed was compared to Bateman...and someone thought it was hillarious. Bateman is stronger than Sneed, big deal. I think everyone can agree Sneed is a player, head and shoulders above Bateman. I don't believe Bateman did anything to get the headline in the Tennesseean today except maybe contributre to giving up fouty-nine points. I'll take Sneed's heart anyday...the guy is a great leader. By the way, the score could have been worse, the starters were pulled, somthing i would not have done in the first meating ever. My boys put the message out, good luck on sneaking up on opponants anymore...I'm sure the rest will give you respect.
  24. Well lets see, it seems that hmm Golden Tate, Golden Tate, and hmm O yea Golden Tate is a more talented athelete than anyone at FRHS. You can't even compare anyone from FRHS to him and if you say you can than you are truely a complete idiot. Not tryin to stink on Golden's you know what and Golden don't be gettin a bigger head than the one you already have when you read this, but it is the truth. And is dhack Donald? If it is you really need not be posting my friend. I'm not sure what scrimmage you were watching last year but JPII did not beat Ryan last year, and im not really sure they will this year. It was 0-0 last year at half, but buddy, by the time you got in yall had already lost the game in the long run so you might need to quit posting if you aren't going to think out your posts before you write them. The game is a throw up, whoever makes the most mistakes will go home with their heads down. There are going to be mistakes made, so when they happen don't get too high or too low. I think I will be the first JPII fan to do this one though FRHS 20-16...I better be wrong.
