  1. man i totaly agree. some of this stuff is just insane, and im not sayin that it aint true, o wait i am sayin its not true. ive been around huge football players my whole life and i havnt heard of these big of numbers being put up. if we gonna talk bout these numbers, we need to be talking bout how they got there. STEROIDS ANYONE? we all know they are in highschool football, might as well come clean bout them
  2. there is a kid at trinity christian academy in jackson, tn who can prove this post wrong. he is a freshman and is 14 years old. he already squats 405, and benches over 300 pounds. the boy is a man among boys on the playing field and will start this year for the lions. so you cant say that its not possible for a 14 year old to lift with seniors, because he does it, and is dang good at it. the coaches from tca will expect huge things from him in the next few years, and my bold prediction would be he will go D-1.
  3. if anyone has any information on munford and how they are doing this year i would appreciate it if you would post it. i know they have great talent, and a good group of seniors. also, coach tommy densford is a top coach in this state, so if you want to say anything, id be glad to hear from you
  4. well well well, tca is finally proving themselves. they have beat their two crosstown rivals within a couple of days of each other. they are on a 10 game win streak and are heading into the playoffs with a lot of momentum.yet usj and jcs will be very tough to beat come districts, not only for their skills in baseball but also for their postseason experience. this will be very interesting.
  5. i sense a little jealousy here,or is it just me??
  6. why are you talking to me? who are you to talk to me that way? you are no one.
  7. ill be honest with you i do not know a lot about this farragut team but i am gonna give them credit where credit is due. they are 33-1, they are defending state champs. they are ranked 3rd nationally. they have players who can kill the ball and pitchers who hit 90. how is this not the TOP team in the nation??? i jus want to dedicate this board to the best team in baseball, A AA OR AAA. keep up the good work guys, it will all be worth it.
  8. i totally agree with bottomline. there are so many people who wish that they could play the game, but cant. and hes right go out and play every game like its your last, becuase it very well could be. no one of us is promised tomorow. it is by GOD's GRACE that we are even here, so play for HIM, your parents and your teammates, and all of those kids who would have given anything to take a swing. the best team will be standing at the end. everyone knows that. but what fun is saying that. with a 1-0 win tonight over usj, trinity has turned some heads, they will be strong coming into the tournament
  9. the kid says it all. critics have been silenced, at least for a little while. TCA finally did it. they beat usj. it was a well played ballgame with neither team producing much offense. what a brilliant game by matt frazier, and latimer pitched a heck of a game himself. usj may still be tops in A ball, but TCA is in the rise. usj has some unbelievable athletes and so does trinity, and if you put the two together i dont think anyone would ever beat them. but you cant.this win makes tournament time even more exciting, if thats even possible.usj and trinity have always been a rivalry yet never taken seriously.now they are. they have two huge wins against their crosstown rivals this year in football and in baseball, but i do believe it will be ugly again next year as TCA is losing a lot of their athletes.as for the best team in the state> i still put my money on trinity. its my opinion guys, and you have yours. but hey lets at least let trinity have this one moment that they have worked so hard to get.
  10. Tommy densford from munford is one of the best coaches not only in west tn, but tn period. he is a little out there and hard to play for but i promise you he knows what he is talkin bout. he has unbelievable talent this year. he has goulder, overbeck, wright, and akin. these kids have been together for a VERY LONG TIME, and they know how to play together and win. i look for them to be very good at tournament time. also, cliff anglin is a very good coach. he doesnt have the talent needed to win at scotts hill, but if he did have a litlle talent he could propably take a team to state.he always tells his kids" u got three cuts, make them count."WHAT A COACH
  11. congrats to mr. jones. i have seen him play on several occasions. he is an unbelievable ball player. and as we all know he can fly. anybody know where he is goin to school?
  12. WOW, i cant believe that know one has responded to this yet. maybe people dont have faith in thier teams. i dont really have a team persay, but i do know who the best 2 teams in single A are. one of these teams is USJ. they have been a powerhouse in pretty much everything for as long as i can remember. they have not dissapointed this year either. they have one of the best pitching staffs in the state of tn. with jeremy foust and nick latimer, they are almost unbeatable. yet they are beatable. and the ones that will beat them this year is TCA. if Trinity wants to do anything important this year they must be USJ or everything else is not important or worth it. they must beat them this year. tca is full of seniors and will have a rough couple of years to follow this one. TCA meets USJ's pitching with some good pitching of their on. they have matt frazier and daniel johnson, a nasty 1-2 combination. plus tca can play fundamental baseball and hit the ball. are these the 2 best teams in the state in singleA? well they are the best ive seen. yet ive heard some awesome things about mt.pleasant and goodpasture. i heard that they are almost unbeatable. tournament time in single a will be a very interesting time in tn. who will take home the rings? well, id have to say TCA
  13. sup fellas. now that everyone has had a couple of days to cool off and say what they want to say, does everyone feel better.i made this message board to spark a debate, and it has. it has also put a little more pressure on some teams going into the playoffs. also, ill tell you a little about myself so that you will know why i said this. i wrote for a newspaper in the great state of TN for 15 years. i am recently retired and spend my spare time traveling around the state and watching highschool baseball. i believe that TCA is the best team in the state, in single A, i guess i should have been clearer on that. Farragut is the best team in AAA. also what INTHEKNOW said about the teams out of memphis, all of those teams are really strong. but im still standing behind tca, and them being the best in the state. i have a son who plays highschool ball, and he doesnt play for tca, yet i still believe that person for person they are the best team in the state. will they beat usj this year. they better. they play them today, and i will be at the game. will they win? maybe or maybe not. but the only time that matters is in the playoffs. hey but everyone has opinions and i think that USJ is very hard to beat, but beatable. they have kids like nick latimer and josh lyles and will wallace and ryan ross. these kids are great athletes and if tca is to beat them this is the year it wil happen. will it happen? who knows? someone wanted to know what they did against jcs? tca beat them, and have beat some of the top teams in the state. i have learned that baseball is a sport where anything can happen. and if i was a bettin man, i would put my money on tca in the playoffs, and THEY WILL BE WEARING RINGS IN A COUPLE OF MONTHS, along with the boys from farragut. please, lets continue this debate boys, IM ENJOYIN IT.plus it puts that pressure on the boys, which everyone needs a little of.
  14. dj dreblow is the best player in the state. the kid has an incredible pop time and can block anything behind the dish. he is hitting over .500, has 4 HR's and has 18 doubles. the boy can straight play ball
  15. TCA is hands down the best team in the state.they have a record of 21-8. some may think that that record is not anything special, yet it is. they havnt been beat by many teams this year. they have some of the best talent in the state. the great thing bout it is no one knows that these kids are so great. they have a pitcher, Matt Frazier who is in the high 80's with a nasty curveball and is very consistent. daniel johnson, who is one of the most well rounded athletes in the state of TN. DJ Dreblow, who has been out the past 3 weeks nursing a broken finger is the best catcher in the state. he has an incredible pop time, can block anything, and he already has 18 doubles on the year. taylor hughes can catch anything in the outfield and can get on base with an on base percentage of over .600. not only do they have great senior leadership, they have great coaches who know the game. one in jason mccauley, graduate from UT, and Eric Quinn a dominant shortstop from Freed-Hardeman. in addition to the leadership and the coaching ability, they have raw young talent. with players such as caleb yates, houston wells, jerod bryant, and riley chambers. with all the raw athletic ability and pure baseball talent it should be no surpise to anyone when they are wearing state championship rings in a couple of months.is this a long shot?maybe. is usj better? maybe. but as we all know and love about the game of baseball anything is possible.i jus know that with the talent of kids like matt frazier, dj dreblow, daniel johnson, and taylor hughes this team will be very tough to beat come tournament time.and lets not forget trinity did FINALLY beat usj in football this year, so who knows what will happen.only time will tell.
