Collierville had their #3 on the mound their top pitcher Hylander, then Pomarantz they are very deep in pitching and loaded with seniors, I'm not from Collierville but Bolton and we opened with them and they are a very good team scouts were everywhere when we played they won 9-2 and 6-2 with Scott Hawkins their catcher hitting 2 bombs. They will be their at the end in Memphis.

Houston and Bolton had their scrimmage Houston 10 Bolton 6, Houston scored all their runs on a 2 new varsity pitchers, both sophmores and 2 grande slams, but they struggled on the top starters of Dale Patterson- no runs 1hit and 4 Ks, Matt Ince 3 innings no runs 1 hit 6 Ks, and Jeremy Stevenson 3 innings 1 hit and 4Ks. Matt Lea threw 3 innings no runs 3hits 4 Ks, Tyler Watson 3 innings 3 hits 2 runs, Alot of scouts were there to see Lea and Watson Lea averaged 85-88 tops 92, not sure on Watson but Houston is goiong to be very tough this year and they deserve all their rankings.

Bartlett played MUS tonight and Sam Mcormick hit another deep bomb and Bartlett won this one 8-5.

I'm sure Houston will be stronger but I also think Bolton will be better than most people think. I think Matt Lea has some small problems with control but I have been told that he throwing mid to low 90's. Tyler Watson is throwing good still working on his velocity all in all should be a good scrimmage. And yes Tyler Frazier is working on his football at this time be recurited by several Big10 and SEC schools

Houston plays at Bolton Saturday @10:00 am should be a good test for both teams. Any predictions ????

I thiink that have a football forum for all these topics football is a fall sport this is spring time.

The Commerical Appeal in Memphis is the worst for high school spring sports but they seem to really take that extra step with football and basketball. Tne papers in Nashville and Knoxville are at least a page of HS sports or racing were luck to have a 4 line or box score in the paper.

You are right there are some great teams in the area and 14AAA might have a few also, Cordova, Bartlett and Bolton should all have very good teams, but I think Houston is the leader in the area, they have very good pitching and alot of it to go with some great hitting all they need to do is stay healthy. Tennessee is a big state there is more than just the eastside.

Should be a great year in 14AAA Cordova, Bartlett, Bolton, Munford and Millington all have alot of returning players. What are the top players in 14AAA who will be the difference makers?

Well in AAA you have to look at Germantown, Houston High,Cordova,Bartlett and Bolton all of these teams return lots pitching and everyday players.

Team Tenn. wins the sophomore sunbelt vs team oaklahoma 9-1. Great job to all the guys they really played great ball this weekend. Also great job of caoching Coach Mark McMillian MUS and Gino Miller Covington.
