  1. Derek is a fantastic player and has proven to be the best in the state. Good luck to him this year!
  2. You have got to be kidding, The DB fans were horrible. Farragut fans were out numbered 10 to 1, they rooted for their team. The unsportsmanlike conduct was 100% DB students. All game they screemed at the Farragut team. The only time they were quiet was when they were on their way "home for the summer" after being beat by the 2006 State Champions. Good luck to the Admirals!
  3. Baseball goes down to end the school year in 2006, now football starts the new year eliminated from championship competition.......... Oh well there's always next year
  4. Think this article explains what happened...... http://www.knoxnews.com/kns/preps_baseball...4758557,00.html
  5. How did the team do yesterday? No updates on the website link?
  6. It would be hard to beat Farraguts #16's performance: AAA State Tournament> 2 wins, 2 shutouts, 20 K's, 0 walks, 5 hits. ERA 0.00 AAA District, Region & State tournaments> 6 wins, 1 earned run in 44 innings, 4 shutouts (Bartlett/Ravenwood/Halls/Maryville). Dont have his k count yet but it was very high as well as his k/walk ratio. 4 of the 6 wins were elimination games. All of this could not have happened with out a great team (and coaching) behind him with lots of Heart, Character & Determination!
  7. The folks at Oakland did a FANTASTIC JOB! Super field conditions, did a great job between games working the field too. Friendly folks working concessions. They shoud be proud! Thanks for the long hours & hard work getting ready.
  8. Sounds like sour grapes from someone that got beat by AC on the way to State!.
  9. Congratulations to Anderson County! Way to go, a well deserving Senior class.....
  10. deviledhornet, I did not know you were such an Experienced Major League talent evaluater. Let me know where I can see your scouting reports, I am sure they are very detailed, perhaps you can contact the 34 teams that Rob has beat in his 4 years? Better yet why not contact the coaches from his 3 no hitters and perfect game? How about asking Riverdale, Mumford, Halls, Bearden, Science Hill, South Doyle, Franklin, to name a few? What about asking some of the sunbelt state high school all star teams in Oklahoma what their reports were? Oh well I guess you are the expert. ps. Why not ask South Doyle about his conditioning last week after pitching the 9 inning complete game? Thats right, I forgot you are the expert pss. On the lighter side Congratulations to both Farragut & Halls for a Fantastic game. Both teams PLAYED WITH CLASS! These teams showed why they are 2 of the top prep baseball teams around. Doing what they have done at the AAA level for 4 consistent years is quite an accomplishment.
  11. Great night at the ballpark tonight, the Ads had it all working, bats, fielding & pitching.... Ads win 13-0, Catapano pitches a Perfect Game, striking out 10. Barton Ivy goes 3 for 3 with 2 Home Runs, David Reynolds goes 2 for 3 and parks one , Ty Nelson goes 2 for 3. Rob picks up his 28 varsity career victory tonight too....... Total Team Effort!
  12. Rob left the game because of pitch count. He completed the inning and left the game tied up 3 to 3. The game moved at a very slowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww pace. Impossible to get a rhythm going. Team is still searching for the right mix. They will get there. Dont count the Ads out, this young team will surprise many down the road!
  13. Rob pitched a 15 strikeout victory Thursday night in Chattanooga vs Memphis University School....... Maryville & Farragut have always played great games no matter who is pitching. I am sure this will be a great game too.
  14. Powellfan & BwAng. Jeff has a special future in front of him in baseball, why should he risk it all with the potential of injury that Football presents? You need to move on, make your posts more constructive by supporting your team vs attacking the player on another.
  15. BaseballScout Farragut players remain to be seen? You must not have watched them to much last year. Several key members (and all district selections) return from 2005. No need to mention names here as this team always plays for the name on the front of their jerseys, never for the one on the back. Thats what makes Farragut Baseball so successfull!
