I will give Walker Valley the credit it deserves. They came into Cleveland and wanted to win the game more than the Cleveland football team did. thumb It’s easily to play Cleveland, The Cleveland offense is so predictable that anybody knows Cleveland will run the ball until its 3rd and 8 or better. People stack the box and dare Cleveland to pass. The Cleveland coaches still pounded in between the tackles with no luck. The Walker Valley team played flawless football except for the fumble late in the 4th quarter. The only bright spot was the defense. Holding WV to 9 points when the offense couldn’t move the ball. The defense kept Cleveland in the game like at Brainerd and gave the offense a chance to win the game. It’s do or die NOW. Win Cleveland is 2nd or lose its 4th and a date with Maryville who in my mind is the best team in the state any classification.

With the 3 players leaving, Clark Gaston will be the one Cleveland will miss. He was a great defensive end. He made numerous tackles and quarterback sacks. Tanner Shamblin was not a good quarterback. He had happy feet and lay down every time he had to run the ball or scramble. His arm was so-so and his passes was not crisp or on target. His attitude was that he was the team, star and he was struck on his self. Jared Casteel was just a tight end and defensive tackle. He was lazy; his attitude was bad and was a Premia-Dona. They will be superstars at Riverside Academy in Gainesville, GA. The competition will not as competitive as it was at Cleveland. It will be a step down from the teams Cleveland has played in the past.

Where are all the Walker Valley people that been tooting their horns all year about the great team they have. They play in a weak district and played a few tough games but the over all schedule is weak at the most. I have seen nothing on CoachT were the great Walker Valley team followers are commenting about the game on Wednesday. Come on guys. You got beat. But you still get to go to Nashville to play on Friday against David Lipscomb.
