The first thing that Central needs to do is try to beat Powell. Maryville don't care if they play Central or Powell or anyone else that shows up. GET OVER IT BOBCATS. You got your butt beat and at least half of the people at the game loved it! I hope you do come back to Maryville in a few weeks, you bring a big crowd and our athletic dept can use the money. And one oyher thing, George and the other coaches will have a new game plan ready for you if you do make it back this year. Buckle it up and lets go.

Final score from West High School Maryville 34 Knox West 20 Good game from start to finnish. Maryville is now 8-0 and will play Oak Ridge next Monday night at Oak Ridge. The maryville O-Line played great and the offence had no fumbles or interceptions. Maryville used the shot-gun almost all night in a hard rain. The Maryville center #50 and the quarterback #14 both handled the ball well all night. Shiver had at least 2 TD catches and it might have been 3.Great game and good luck next week.

REBELRON, We will tru to pull them through the next two games. Oak Ridge will be a test and West should be about like Powell. The O-Line has played well most of the year and the D-Line probally played the best game tonight that they have played all year. Number 50 the center has done a goog job all year with the snaps. He is a pretty good long snapper and is strong for his size. Number 55, 73,60 all do a great job in the o-line also. If they continue to work and get stronger, it will be another Maryville class that will help the Rebels RE-LOAD once again.

Final from Maryville High Freshman Game Maryville 40 Powell 14 The team looked good tonight. They played much better that last week and were in control all night. The only mistake they made was a penatly on a punt return for to many players on the field and they had brought the ball back for a touchdown. That would have made at least 47-14. Powell scored on Maryville reserves. Good night for the Freshman team. They are now 7-0 with games against Knox West and Oak Ridge left.

Take Powell out with 2 loses and anyone else that has 2 loses. That will make room for anyone left out that should be there.

Looks pretty good to me but the guys from West Tn won't like it.

DB would win the game. DB can beat just about everybody during the season but they never seem to make it to the BIG SHOW!

REBELRON I agree that thay need to get stronger. This years Freshman class from Willy B came from a very good Carpenters and William Blount Middle School group last year. Putting them together makes for a good Freshman group. But I understand that this years Carpenters and William Blount Middle Schools are not even close to last year and our Maryville Middle School team is as good or better that last years. Our Maryville Freshman team plays well most of the time but sometimes has a letdown. The goal line stand on the 1 yard line by Maryville was big. The team grew up a little on Monday night. And after they held at the one, they drove out to the 50 with a wet ball in the rain and did a great job with hand-offs and center/QB excanges. They are 6-0 now and play Powell Monday. Hope you get another chance to see them.

Maryville Freshman would never drop Mo West for any reason. They have already beaten Carter's JV and Alcoa JV and played and spanked Austin East last Monday night. So to the MO West fan, you will get all you want of the Maryville Freshman team in the future. You better buckle it up because Maryville will not back down from you now or later.

Has anyone got the score in the Maryville / Alcoa Middle School game tonight. I drove by the field and Maryville was up 20-0 at the half.

There is nothing wrong with the Freshman line that a little time in the weight room won't fix. Yes it was a close game and Heritage won another moral victory. The Maryville Freshman team has beaten Carter's JV at Carter 22-6, Alcoa JV at Maryville, Clinton Freshman and Heritage Freshman. Maryville didn't play well that night. To many dropped passes and wrong routs. They will look better next time out. And to the Heritage guy, YOU WILL TAKE IT AS LONG AS WE WANT TO GIVE IT TO YOU. The total score for 3 games with Heritage this year was MARYVILLE- 93 HERITAGE- 14 NUFF SAID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maryville will stay in 4-a for this year and for the next 4 years. It has been decided and I am happy about it. I would rather be one of the biggest schools in 4-A than the smallest school in 5-A.

I think that you should look a little closer at the record. MHS made it to sub-state last year. They didn't get to that level with players that should not have been there. William Blount and Heritage also have fine baseball programs and have good players that will do well. Alcoa is playing in the championship game in there district tonight and might just win it. They also have some good players. It souunds like that you have a problem with one of more coaches that failed to see the same thing that you saw.
