  1. I think Trousdale has it, I've played against them in past years. They're fast, agile, and score quickly. Also they have a brutal crowd. I see them making a state appearance this year. Good luck to both teams. TC: 35 Temple: 21
  2. And to all of you others I have respect for my fellow teammates, yeah we worked hard, but that doesn't go around the fact that coach didn't have favorites. And also I was in the locker room with these guys you're speaking so highly of while downing me. I know exactly what was said and I know how everyone felt. I also know I got treated like crap after my injury, and tried to stay positive throught the season even though it was as if I was some worthless Freshman who didn't know jack about the game and couldn't play worth a crap. But you guys are the experts so I guess I'll just leave it at that.
  3. I STRONGLY DISAGREE. Chris was not the team by any means at all. I played my heart out for that team with a bummed out knee which was 30% healed after two major surgeries and the only way I made it through the season was because of all the medicine I was on for it. Plus coach didn't give anyone else a shot, he coached one player and one player only. When I was recovering from my injury he made me a manager in the offseason.. That's how much he cared about me, even though I was the one to step up and replace Chris when he got injured, and had to step up for the whole team sometimes changing jersey's during the games so I could play multiple positions. Get your facts straight before you speak.
  4. I saw Pearl Cohn's band play this year, when they came and played us.. And all I can say is WOW! Our band has always been well known, and state champs and all that. Pearl Cohn made them look bad. It was an interesting experience, I'd have to say first time another team's band came into our house and put our band to shame.
  5. Everything about my team was a horror story, lots of talent and ability, played great in scrimmages, but once it came time to strap up and take it out on the field we folded. But the team has been like that for well over 30 years now. HMM...Guess we can't win em all.
  6. DeKalb Co. 2003-2004. Played fullback and defensive end junior year, and wing back and defensive end senior year. 6'2 230. Played for MTSU for about 3 weeks until I realized I was small and it would be a waste of my time if I wasn't going pro.
  7. As a former DeKalb football player, I can say that this team we have now is PATHETIC! I know they've had it hard this season and all, but the middle school team could probably take them. They have NO size, speed, nor strength. All the talent in DeKalb Co. football graduated last year and we couldn't even pull it off then. So no way, I put Macon up by a bunch. I've been to a few DeKalb games this season, and all I know is the coaches we have now better pull their heads out of their butts and study a little on high school football. Putting your 280 pound lineman in at halfback, and a 270 pound defensive lineman in at fullback isn't going to get you anything but embarrased. Stunts like that are uncalled for in high school football. They need some new coaches, and they need some now. If DeKalb wants to ever win another football game they need to figure a lot of things out. And letting junior pro coaches take over the reigns is not cutting it.
  8. As bad as Riverdale stomped Smyrna the first time I don't see any reason why they wouldn't do it again. Riverdale has completely dominated and embarrased every one that has come their way and they will continue to do so all the way through the state championship. Riverdale takes home the crown.
  9. Trousdale came very close to overcoming LA the first time, and I think they will use that as fuel this week and take the Cats for all their worth. It will be a hard fought battle, but I think the Jackets will prevail in this one. Good luck to both teams! I'm glad to see region 4 dominate the playoff's like we all knew they would.
  10. With this one we can reflect on what happened the first time and make predictions, but with these two teams you don't know what's going to happen until the final buzzer of the game. So I'm looking forward to going to this one to see who takes it home. It will be a very good game.
  11. I think LA gets this one easy. Good luck Cats!
  12. Thanks man. We lost the game 35-10, but we played our hearts out and I'd have to say that's one of the saddest feelings in the world stepping off the field for the last time knowing you're never going to play again.
  13. That's terrible, I know how it feels to lose your father at young age. My prayers are with you.
  14. Thanks. I think that's the first time anyone has ever said anything nice about our team. Usually when DeKalb is mentioned it's just about how bad we're going to lose. Which isn't exactly a spirit booster.
