As of a few years ago, only two teams had made the trip to memphis or vice versa and won. MUS 06 reg season and baylor 07 reg season. Speaking from experience, this trip is hard on the players even if an overnight stay on thursday is taken. Coach Massey will be up for this game not only because its the semi finals but also because he was a long time coach at MUS who is CBHS' big rival. Should be a good game. CBHS always plays good physical football.

The reason the baylor side was so upset is because the cbhs fans were chewing us out for no reason. I can understand it comming from the duggout thats normal thats just how we players are..but from 40 yr old adults? thats just rediculous...it was more than just heckling it was getting cussed out like a sailor. I know i was on the field.Thats why our second baseman bowed at them because he was sick of it ...about our players yes that all happend and it was bad but none of them were starters..just a bunch of young dumb rookies on the team. By that time the whole situation had gotten out of control. It was wrong. As for the scuffle while shaking hands it all happend because little martinez was walking through the line calling us b****es and one of our players pushed him. None of the baylor players said anything but good game. Then forsythe tried to fight our freakin assistant coach. I had all the respect in the world for forsythe before that game but i lost it pretty quickly when he walked through the line taunting us and trying to fight the team that his own cousin is on.

Im pretty sure baylor already has the #1 seed even though the region isn't over. Since they swept both webb and mccallie in the regular season they already got the automatic bid to state. As I was told the only way that they could earn the second seed after the region tournament was to finish last. Since webb was knocked out saturday then that makes that impossible so i guess baylor is first no matter the outcome of the mccallie games. Their not just gonna hand over the region title to mccallie though.

They are a good team but dang they are probably the most obnoxious team i have ever heard. Not as much the players as the coaches and parents. Their parents and coaches are terrible. But they beat us. When their coach yelled stalling for when our coached went to talk to our pitcher i just thought that was pretty rediculous but what do i know.

you obviously dont know what your talking about because they super seven opponents are rotated every couple of years so we dont have control if we play father ryan or not. And also it league games dont matter its if your record is over 500%. Good job just another Mccallie fan opening his mouth about something he doesn't know about. oh yeah and it was baylor 22-20 in the MUS game

MUS comes off a dissapointing loss to an ECS team that I have never heard of being good. How will it end up

All I got to say is Semi-Finals! Thats right we might not have won in the past 8 years or w/e it is but the red raiders know how to get it done in the playoffs

baylor ended up winning a wild one late saturday night against halls. 9-8 From talking to one of the tournament directors baylor was the only undefeated team in the tournament.

The east cobb astros are the best no doubt. Unbelievable only two guys on their roster are from east cobb rest are from all over. 27 people on the team

How do you think baylor will match up against farragut? I think it depends on pitching. Does baylor have a chance winning with farragut just comming off a loss.

We're not going to turn this into a Public vs. Private argument! There is an entire board for that. You are entitled to your opinion, and I am entitled to mine. You'll never get me to buy that just because I know and have known COACHES at both schools that have participated and the players that were involved. But I'm not complaining, that's just the way it is. The school I support can beat both of those schools in most sports on any given day, so there is no problem here. But, I'm easy - I can agree to disagree. It is a shame that people care so much about winning and losing of a sport that they have to go to the extreme of using names. What did Coty do to ever deserve this? He has nothing to do with this. Coty is probably one of the smartest people i know at Baylor. As for you Grad, it is terrible that a 20 + man sits on a high school message board all day bragging about his alma mater and bashing private schools. I do believe some schools recruite for certain sports, but i can tell you for a fact that Coach Gene Etter or Baylor has nothing to do with it. If a player gets aid it is probably from an outside source. Now im not saying hixon and Ooltewah are not good teams. I think they are. I'm just saying its a shame that a great sports like baseball has gotten so competative that teams won't play each other simply because the fact that they don't believe the playing field is "fair" or are afraid of losing.

last year it wasn't very close. Im not sure what the score was, but i remember there was a grand slam. Before the slam it was close i think. I think it will be a good game.

Zeth stone is a stud from baylor. Gotta love the guy. Smooth at short and has the best arm motion i have ever seen. When he gets bigger he will be able to throw hard, just like his bro.

Im just saying it wasn't in very good condition when i was there. They must of had the grass fungus because it looked dead in the in field. It looked like it had very good potential though. The high stands were neat.

Don't start on the recruiting thing. Are you saying that no public schools recruit? half of east ridges players (all sports) are from georgia, and i have a friend who plays for red bank that lives in soddy.

I played at white house this summer and is was the worst field i have ever played on. There was no grass and center field is about 3 feet above the rest of the field and when it rained all the water ran into the dug out and flooded us out.

Baylor played Mcminn county and with starters in i think the score was 11-1 but not sure. When it was all said and done after 9 innings mcminn won 11-10 i think. (score board was changing alot) Baylor and Mcminn hit really well for first game. Pitching was rough around the edges for both teams. Over all good game.

waddell, weeks, and mcgee are a couple of good players from baylor, but none will start because of good senior and junior class players. Brogan Jayne, and Daniel Fisher from Mccallie are good players. Daniel or BJ might get to start in out field, ( i hear they have one spot open). Woods is really really fast.

I'm not saying that public school ball is not good, just private isn't as easy as you think.

Look at how many players go big time D-1 every year out of D-2. its not easy. Wes hodges, and Michael Fisher to name a few.

Does anyone know of the new sophomores on soddy's team. I got a couple of buddies up there and i was wondering if they made it.
