Sir, could you please remind me of some more negative OR posts. How about the one where I mention Ricky, Travis, and Wes being 3 outstanding guys on the bench. How about the one where I said you guys won the coaching battle last night. How about the one where I said regardless of last night's outcome, OR would make it to the state tournament. So when you say "All of your posts are negative towards OR" maybe you have a reading disability or you just read what you want to. I have no disrespect towards OR at all. I think you guys have a great school with great tradition. All I said was that I thought Bearden would win the game by double digits. Now you obviously have done your best to spin that as if I have some great hatred towards the Cats, but that is not true. I also am aware that you guys have a great football tradition and that WB has beaten you guys only twice. I was wondering who out of the Cat faithful would make it a point today to rub in my poor prediction. I never thought Bearden would ever tire as many players as Blevins' plays. I thought it would be an issue for Eldridge because his bench is very thin. Did Bearden not run their usual merry-go-round with players.

All right. I am on here willing to take my shots. Obviously, I will not run and hide seeing as I am one of the few that will actually post my name on here. When I was called with 6 minutes to go and told that Bearden was up by doubles, I was feeling pretty smart. Then I was called back in less than 2 minutes of real time and told that it was tied and I felt pretty stupid. I really do not understand how Bearden collapsed. I am very concerned about Blevins staying in a zone for 2 minutes while OR held the ball?????? With the players Bearden has and the way they can play man to man I do not know why they were ever in zone. I am going to give this win to Ricky and his staff because his players do not measure up to the players for Bearden. Regardless, 2 great come from behind wins for the Wildcats. And, by the way, thanks to Clary for texting me pretty much right after the game was over. I obviously stirred some emotions over there in the Nuclear City. Both teams advance to the state with Bearden winning it all. Just like last year, the Region loser wins the state championship. BOOK IT!

Key losses include Damron, Douglass, and Lambert. 2 starters return in Click and Reynolds. Decent young players coming back. Wouldn't hurt to get a transfer or 2.

Very sour!!!! I have seen Bearden play numerous times this season. I have seen them shoot poorly, but I have also seen them make 10 3's in a game. What I have seen consistently as of late is their ability to DEFEND. When they decide to defend (and I am talking about half-court) good shots are hard to come by. They held Maryville to 1 FG in the first 15 minutes of the 2nd half in the District Championship game. Process that for a minute. 1 FG in 15 minutes. Maryville could not even get a decent shot off. OR has good athletes, but their ability to win AT Bearden is limited. It is going to take a heck of a game by Jared. The home court is a big factor. Once again, Bearden by doubles. Congrats to Ricky, Travis, and Wes though for winning the other night. That is a great bench with three quality coaches and young men.

Maybe if they would have the Region at a location that actually has some seating everyone could get in. I am still trying to figure out how Oak Ridge is going to score? Stephens may have 15. Quinche will not get more than 8. Those other guys will not be getting wide open looks, I assure you. I honestly do not see how OR can win tonight. I do agree with many of the rest of you, though. I believe both teams will be in the state tournament, and quite honestly, I think Bearden will win it. 2 in a row for District 4-AAA. Next year make it 3 in a row as Bearden will repeat.

Guys I am sorry but I do not see how in the world ORHS wins this one AT Bearden. They were not even the best team the other night. Trent (31% 3 baller on the year) hits 3 in a row in the 4th or OR isn't even playing tonight. Bearden's defense is much tougher than Maryville's. Bearden by double digits...BOOK IT!!!

Lenoir City does have a spacious gym, but, unfortunately, they also have a spacious court. One of the few 94 foot gyms around. I think the games there are less exciting because it takes the teams a little extra time getting up and down the court.

It used to rotate. Now it will only rotate between Knox West and Knox Bearden. That means every odd year like last year it will be at West and every even year it will be at Bearden. Do you not think this is a little of an advantage for the Bulldogs?

Bearden and West do not even rank in the top 5 gyms in terms of seating capacity. Karns, OR, WB, Heritage, Maryville.

Now that the Region will move to one spot here in the semis, it is time to vent my frustration with one of the more ridiculous decisions R Carter and Company have ever made. You are telling me that Bearden gets to host the Region every other year. Well you might as well punch a ticket for them in the state tournament. Centrally Located????? Is Farragut not centrally located?????? Maybe the 5 miles down the road is too far to go. How about Maryville? I understand that Campbell County, Sevier County, Heritage, and maybe Halls might be a rough drive for some teams, but with the new format(1st round at home sites) you only have to make the trip at most twice. Surely this foolishness will not last. If you want to have it at one place all the time, it should be at a neutral court.

Mostly Aaron Douglas in the first half until the game was decided. I was very surprised that he didn't try to take AD to the rim. I was surprised that none of the players really tried to drive until the game was decided. Powell started 1 for 15 from beyoned the arc and really never got going offensively.

Bearden wins easy. Maryville and OR in a toss-up. Both winners will win their sub-state games and advance to the State Tournament.
