  1. Great call by the Cleveland "Administration", the weather is absolutlely horrible and so much worse than last night.. smash and grab, classy....
  2. "Kept Rhea in the game last year" Uhh....OK Don....
  3. Geez...haven't even played the first game and Don is already crying about the officials...
  4. A little pregame hype... WTVC NEWS CHANNEL9 https://tinyurl.com/ybfqfacz
  5. Hello Passive what's good in Hooterville! I could be wrong but I think it will be a close ballgame with nobody taking a trip to the woodshed. But like you said Cleveland doesn't look "that bad" and Cleveland still equals speed, speed and more speed. What is it you like to call them?.....Those Sandbagging BlueRaiders lol
  6. He has looked great running the ball and appears to have good hands each time I have seen him but in Pemberton's system there's a lot more to fullback than just running and catching. I think initially we will see him in a support roll but could see him more as the season progresses and he picks up more experience.
  7. I haven't heard of any major injuries since the Jamboree.
  8. Yes, I had forgotten that Cleveland had landed Coach Branden Harmon. He was an assistant at Rhea before being at Marion Co. He is pretty intense and will definately benefit Cleveland especially in the weight room.
  9. Now obviously I don't know the inner workings of the Cleveland football program but the one coach left for a head coaching position at Red Bank correct? I don't know who replaced him but your always going to lose good coaches when they have a chance to be a head coach.
  10. Hey Foose, I hope your right but Rhea rarely plays good at Cleveland. I've been hearing rumors about all these players quitting and transferring.... What in the world is going on over there?
  11. Yes, it does take a special young person to not only accept the challenge but to be accepted into and have the opportunity to study at any of the service academies. A lot of people really don't understand the difference in "joining the military" and being accepted at one of the SA's. The pressure to excel is extreme for any student in a SA environment, let alone a student athlete. Best of luck to this young man in whatever path he takes....
  12. Agreed, and he certainly has the academics to make it in any of these institutions but perhaps the lure of playing for someone like Chip Kelly or Jim Harbaugh has caused him to reconsider...
  13. Looks like he's just decided to consider all his options and it looks like he has quite a few: http://clevelandbanner.com/stories/jones-draws-offers-from-michigan-ucla,84204
  14. Yes, Indian you are correct and the situation and events that lead to his arrival and departure have already been discussed on here but some choose to beleive what they want.
  15. I'm hearing Arkansas and Georgia's interest in him (at this point) is on defense. He is truly an exceptional athlete and he is going to make an impact wherever he's at on the field.
  16. I don't know what all Oak Ridge has back this year but I believe they still have Graham and they were playing good football at the end of last season. It's really early to be putting together a "top 5" list but I would have to think Oak Ridge would be in the top 5 maybe top 3 ahead of West and Fulton. Didn't West graduate most of their defense from last season?
  17. Makes sense. I had never been to Blackmon and was looking forward to coming out and seeing the school and stadium. Oh well maybe next time. Best of luck to the Blaze this season.
  18. Hey Blaze, what happened with Blackmon opting out of their home game this upcoming season with Rhea? I was kind of surprised to see that because it was a home game for Blackmon and Rhea County fans travel extremely well, it would have been a really good gate for y'all.
  19. You are correct, Fitzgerald is a high character guy. He cares about the kids and is a great fit for Meigs. Best of luck to y'all this year as well.
  20. I don't think we wanna go there and start accusing CJF of "recruiting". Kids transfer and leave for all sorts of reasons. To clarify: the "stud" QB that we lost to Meigs is there because his father got a job in Meigs when one wasn't available to him here and this all happened before his freshman year. Also, we lost a couple of starters last year because they were dismissed from the team due to poor decisions they made but were fortunate enough to get another shot to play somewhere else for their senior year; one at Meigs and one at Bledsoe. It would have been nice to had them both last year but I'm glad they got a second chance to play somewhere. We lost another one to Bledsoe after Spring practice last year but he had just moved here from Bledsoe and went back. None of this is recruiting....not even close. I also am hearing the rumor that we may be losing a Senior linemen to Meigs for whatever reason. Perhaps it's playing time or lack there of or maybe his family is just moving, I've heard both. But that again isn't recruiting. While we are on the subject of O-line, and I'm not trying to ruffle feathers but the offensive line had major issues last season and was a weak spot on thIs team. I think it was more about O-line chemistry than ability and hopefully CMP can get this worked out in Spring practice. With the inexperience the Eagles will have at running back the O-line need to be better than average and firing on all cylinders to have a successful season. GO EAGLES!!!
  21. I don't know the details or if it's 100% true but I heard he has moved back to Florida....
  22. There's gonna be a new Sheriff in Hooterville......
