I to believe that Westview will take the dist. because of the talent they have coming back, I have seen all these girls play and although between gc & westview it will be a great game, i'm not a Charger fan or a Pioneer fan just looking at what i see, and I see westview winning. I don't believe redbird say anything about 3rd place, he say a "CONTENDER" FOR 2nd place, which I also agree with. Of course "ANYTHING" can happen on any given night, so sHarshaw there is a possiblity Your team could win. AGREE, AGREE 100%, defense win games, purple&gold you are right, been to several practices and all I see is offense, no hitting, no blocking, no pads, Got to practice like you want to play in a real game, pads and all, Have not seen any type of defense in practice, and it is showing up on the field in our games. Coach Jackson will be the first to tell you he wants, he needs a defense coach "BAD" Hopefully by next year coach Jackson will have a def. man that can help these guys on their def. This is exactly what I was talking about in a early post,people & media alike KEEP bring up 0-10, loosing record, can't get things going, etc. & anything else negatived to try and cruch this OCCHS football program. Do you not think that the REBEL players and FANS are not aware of "ALL" these things, and yes it HURTS, especially the players, and the fans who are trying to encourage these kids and coaches TO KEEP ON KEEEPING ON. My QUESTION is why? Especially this time of the season, we know were we stand. I too agree with you justaocfan, I support these kids 100%, i also agree with you on the newspaper media, I have never seen so many negative words, phrases, expressed about OC sports programs, these people need to understand they are talking about and including these kids. It seems to me they are trying to run down the sports program at OC so the kids would GET TIRED OF HEARING IT and want to go to "ANOTHER" school, to help that school have a better program. They say it is "NEWS" well you can beat a good horse down after so much abuse. I also like you believe it is only a "FEW" that keeps this pile stir up and the newspaper jumps right on it just like they did against a former assist. coach at OC, that had to leave, because of the accusations brought against him and the paper didn't waste any time printing it, and come to find out, the accusation was "ALL FALSE" but this coach's liFe at OC was ruin. because the news medi couldn't wait to see if these accusiations were true or false, BEFORE THEY PRINTED IT, it was "NEWS" and it was about OC. and NEWS LIKE THAT ALWAYS gets THE "front" PAGE. I watch and listen to these kids every day, they want to do good, and they want to play for OC, THEY LIKE COACH JACKSON and they like what he is trying to do. I say to you, the few people, leave them alone, and to the news media, If you can't say something good about these kids, then don't say anything. I agree with you on the running game, the REBELS do have some quickness on this team ( Calhoun, Fulbright, Minnick, and Haskins) and if used it will open up the passing game, and the REBELS could come away with a regional win and give this young team some confidence, and that I believe will carry this team to a another level.Roll /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> I say roll /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> on REBELS.

Seen Nick Gilliam at Autry's and he told me that they had play Lake County and beat them 84-83. He did not give any details, just said they played pretty good.

Talking to coach Kail today at school and he stated that the Brandon King kid is back, at 6'6 he could help, not only in rebounding but he can score around the basket. I agree with you pride&tradition, this bunch seems to have lost their focus, especially when theres only 4-5 minutes left in the game, ball in the wrong hands, not looking for the open man, holding on to the ball to long, to much dribbling, not aware of the "trap" I do believe this team can still pull it out and have lots of ball playing left, right now they are tied for 3rd and if the dist were played tonight and THE rebels were to hold on to that 3rd position they would play Milan, but if they were to be in 4th they would play Gibson Co. The REBELS play one of their best games against the Cavaliers, great ''TEAM WORK" How many times did they use the old give and go play, just basic basketball, great "HUSTLE" REBELS, Matt Harner best game yet, not like time past, the REBELS are continuing to improve here in the 2nd half of the season, and i believe their best game is yet to come. What a game, the REBELS never gave up, down by 6 in the first quarter, came back tied it up early in the 2nd and was up by 12 at one time, Munford came back and tied it it up with 5:15 left in the game, then all of a sudden the REBELS WENT UP BY 7- /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> 53-46 holding the Cougars to only 3 points in the last 2:35 min of the game.
