Good job, Jeff! That's Germantown's first actual winner for a Mr. Football Award....many nominated but Cottam made history today.

Woa, the last time the bleachers broke was 1998....what side did it happen on.....home or visitor.......? I know those old bleachers have got to be in violation of OSHA standards after 50 years.....they've never been replaced because the city wants to keep the past alive. I believe it is high time for metal bleachers....JMHO. Anyways, thanks and I'm glad you had a good experience at the game.

We have the QB coming back.....we'll lose some rushers and receivers but I believe the lines will be of the same strength come next year. We prob. lose about 25 seniors this year, with around 30 seniors next year. Look for Germantown to be back in the hunt in 2005....although that really doesn't amount to anything right now. I'll give Germantown a good break down come next summer.....around August. Yay for football season!

Hey, If you were a Franklin fan at the game last Friday, tell us about your trip to Germantown. Were you treated nicely, did you get parking, were the home fans a fun crowd......I just want to know because I was on Thanksgiving break...... Thanks

I said that this post was not made with malicious intent. I don't know that much about Franklin so it was difficult to come up with 10 fun reasons. I don't know what y'all ate for Thanksgiving but something has made some of you into jack***es. Germantown lost by 20 because they didn't play as well as Franklin played. Franklin is the better team and deserved the win. Some people can't take a joke.

Great job, Franklin......y'all deserved the win. No if, ands or buts about it......the two best teams in 5A will play for the title in the 'Boro. Beat Riverdale........ Franklin 10 Riverdale 7 I'm not hating on Riverdale but I pull for the side of the bracket on which my team plays.....unless I have a specific reason not to......also looks better to lose to the champion. Pretty good season Germantown.....keep your heads high and prepare for 2005.

Whatever! Anyone can win the state title at this point...although Riverdale has the nod, it is not a given that the officials will hand the gold ball to them (or even the silver).... For now, let's all just hope Germantown defeats Franklin.

Actually I cut the list down to five reasons.....just to keep it short and simple. Almost correct...except you head south on Germantown Pkwy until the road eventually becomes Germantown Rd.....otherwise you will end up in northern Shelby County!.......and DANG with the last comment....but oh so very true...you can go down Collierville-Arlington Rd. if you like twisty, narrow roads...the exit is about 10-20 miles prior to the Wolfchase Mall-Germantown Pkwy exit! Bring many fans....the louder, the better! ONE, we are the Devils... TWO, we cannot hear you... THREE, a little bit louder... FOUR, more, more more....and <repeat>

The Red Devils have reclaimed Germantown with a resounding Mustang defeat, 21-0! I believe many firsts were made in this meet-up between GHS and HHS.... 1st shut-out on either side 1st playoff victory for Germantown over Houston (Houston had previously won the 1998 2nd round game and the 2001 3rd round game) The overall record stands at 12-5 in favor of Germantown...the teams have met in Varsity action every year since 1991...the year Houston High had their first junior class. The largest margin of victory belongs to Germantown from the 1996 game at Houston....45-7. The longest win streak belongs to Germantown, 5 games from 1994 until the playoffs in 1998 (HHS was defeated by Germantown in the regular season. This victory also marks the third time in a row that Germantown has advanced to the Class 5A State semi-finals....only Germantown and Riverdale have achieved this accomplishment. Good luck against Franklin High...Franklin fans, have a safe trip down! If you need the best directions, ask me to post them!

OR fans: Hi, this is reality checking in for a moment. Nice to meet you! Now, let's stop acting as though the Wildcats have played in the title game 8 times since 1993 (something Riverdale has actually accomplished); Oak Ridge hasn't been in the title game since Saved by the Bell was on Saturday mornings. I am not smacking down on Oak Ridge at all...but don't disrespect Riverdale and the name the Warriors have helped bring to TN football. Clearly, RHS is the most dominant program in TN for the last decade and one of the most dominant in the Southeast.

I didn't just get "FLEXED" by you. Please, replying to a topic entirely in caps lock is so 6 years ago, in the same time period when Brentwood football was nothing. How am I like the fat kid who gets picked last in dodgeball.....that's not relevant and is actually rather random. You didn't roast us like a stuck pig in 2002...you won 24-14...that's not roasting. As far as Houston goes.....don't even go there....were you at the game....do you know the score.....15-14....that's not getting rolled over......they scored one TD, missed the PAT, and scored 3 field goals....not exactly dominating.....but neither was Germantown, who only had a good first half. Thanks about the 2003 title, by the way....even though neither our 2003 title or Brentwood's 2002 title are "CONSIDERED RELEVANT TO ANYTHING."

Interesting, coming from the school who got slapped by Germantown in 1999 and 2000; suppose you'll say that this was before Brentwood's glory years....nice....

Can the Red Devils, 7-0 victors over host Bolton on Friday night, defeat Collierville for the 2nd time in one year at Collierville? The Red Devils would extend their win streak over Cville to 5 games, dating back to a last minute touchdown drive by the Dragons at Germantown on September 1, 2000 that gave Cooterville the 22-19 victory and the regional title. Before the 2000 game, Germantown had not lost to Collierville since 1993, the last time the Devils did not make the playoffs....pray for Germantown to win this Friday! Thanks!
