  1. 5a-Germantown 4a-Melrose 3a-Kingsbury/Fulton 2a-Alcoa 1a-DCA
  2. yea probably, but Germantown has been playing great football lately, and i cant see how riverdale could stop them. But then agian their is still another game before the championship, and anything can happen in th semifinal game.
  3. I dont know, im a strange person. I guess I support some and dissagree with some of your idea but then agian I just dont know.
  4. You are totally wrong. Thats what happens at large private schools. Parents of privates dont all own companies, etc. Small private schools most parents struggle, to keep their kids in the school so they can have a good education, not the junk they teach you publics where nothing ever gets learned. Your right parents do donate a little money, in the way of fundrasiers, which go on every year about to keep the school open. Some kids go to a camp and some dont, but you know i dont know how many do I know no one on my team did.
  5. Not true. Look at east Tennessee, you have private schools all along that border. I mean its good populated but its not like Nashville. And look at the schools north of Memphis and to the west. Look at Memphis, if you had a kid and he was good at sports, and you could afford to send him to a small private school or put him in a public school. Send him to a Lighthouse Christian Academy(who hasnt ever one a game in football history) or send him to a Bolton High School were they have a legitaminte chance of making playoffs and possibly winning a state championship, were if you had a good football player, he could be scouted at Bolton but not at Lighthouse. I will admit many small private schools are around each other in large population areas, but theres a key word, many, there is many small private schools in the Memphis area alone. They dont compete with each other for students they cant, they dont have the money to pay a scholorship or give aid or even try to get them to come to their school. You also have large private schools in the area too which take away from small private schools and others.
  6. Ok, their something you dont realize, if privates had "zones" the zones would be so huge for some schools and so small for others. Their is not a whole lot of private schools compared to public. Public schools can be zoned because their is so many of them over shorter distances, privates schools are scattered all around the place and are usually near bigger cities. What about the areas up near Dyersburg and everything that dont have alot of private schools, their zones could spread over counties(assuming the schools that play football). Plus no one make a person go to a private school, some D-II schools give aid to students and some do not. Anyways if you look at it, most students that go to a single private school are from around that general area. Now some students may not, but anyways. Publics have to be zoned anyways(state laws), Privates dont because their not owned by the state, so they dont have to be. Well before the mid 1980's a whole lot of private schools formed their own makeshift league and played each other then.
  7. Davidson Academy looks like a very good football team. They Nashville Christian beat 45-6, who lost to Trinity 3-0, but then again both of our teams play horrible games. But I dont know what will happen next year. Maybe they have alot of good seniors, but I just dont know. I would like to find out some info. about them sooner or later though.
  8. You see the new team in the divison next year? David Brainered and Davidson Academy are the only 2 joining putting it at 10 in the division next year. But St. Georges and Ellistion is not playing football next year or at least varsity football, dont know why either. Its on the TSSAA website.
  9. You go talk to the NBFL president, his name is bubba. You can call him somehow, dont know it though.
  10. not the 18 part the mark of the rose part i thought was funny
  11. Nope sorry, the NBFL(National Backyard Football League) wont let us tape our games. I dont like it either but theirs nothing I can do.
  12. The greatest play ive ever seen, well it was about 4 years ago, in my back yard. A quadruple reverse, option pass to the eligible tackle, right when the tackle was about to be tagged, he pitched it to a reciever who ran the ball 20 yards for a td. The 8 year olds win the game by 1 point over the 10 year olds!!!! Man it was such a great game. The best one ive seen until this day.
  13. Thanks, always wondered after I read about keeping Privates out of 5a, 4a, and 3a, why their was a Academy still left in 3a. I never heard of a public school that had the word Academy in it, so its was my fault. Thanks for telling me.
  14. Large Private schools still play 5a schools, CBHS(who is a 5-6 team that was beaten in the first round of the playoffs), beat Whitestation(27-6) and Germantown(20-7)(still in playoffs and if I remeber right won the 5a title last year) both very respectable 5a schools, and also a Memphis East team thats in 3a, I think. CBHS also last year beat Germantown 21-10, leaving them 14-1 on the year, with a 5a championship ring. CBHS went on that year and lost in the first round of that years DII-AAA playoffss. Your right it wont happen, 5a schools is what got the split started if you remeber. Thats why private schools cant play in 5a, 4a, 3a. Preason doesnt matter. Teams improve over the season so who knows what could happen now. D-II AAA privates schools went 16-4 agianst all public schools they played. Losses mainly coming from a bad Father Ryan team and out of state opponents. Even if they did combine those teams together, it wouldnt make a difference, the privates would win anways.
  15. thanks, congrats on your win agianst nashville christian
  16. Yes but of those 7 teams they usually beat the 5a teams. Those 7 teams are usually 7 of the best teams in the state. That class is more competitive than anyother class by alot. Those who you say "call yourselves state champions" are probably the hardest class of football in the state. These schools would most likely win the 5a championship every year. Why do you think there was a split in the first place? Publics grew tired of Privates always winning the games and championships.
  17. What happens when poor privates be big publics or small publics beat rich privates, or what if big privates beat small publics, then agian what if big publics beat poor privates, and what about the middle privates and publics what credit do they get? none. Or the poor privates beat the small publics and the big publics beat the rich publics or vice versa, the possiblities are endless.
  18. "Seasons in the Sun" by Terry Jacks(Greatest pump up song ever.) Goodbye to you my trusted friend We've known each other since we were nine or ten Together we climbed hills and trees Learned of love and A B C's Skinned our hearts and skinned our knees. Goodbye my friend it's hard to die When all the birds are singing in the sky Now that the spring is in the air Pretty girls are everywhere Think of me and I'll be there We had joy we had fun We had seasons in the sun But the hills that we climbed were just seasons Out of time...... Goodbye Papa please pray for me I was the black sheep of the family You tried to teach me right from wrong Too much wine and too much song Wonder how I got along. Goodbye Papa its hard to die When all the birds are singing in the sky Now that the spring is in the air Little children everywhere When you see them I'll be there. We had joy we had fun We had seasons in the sun But the wine and the song like the seasons Have all gone. We had joy we had fun We had seasons in the sun But the wine and the song like the seasons Have all gone. Goodbye Michelle my little one You gave me love and helped me find the sun And every time that I was down You would always come around And get my feet back on the ground. Goodbye Michelle it's hard to die When all the birds are singing in the sky Now that the spring is in the air With the flowers everywhere I wish that we could both be there We had joy we had fun We had seasons in the sun But the stars we could reach Were just starfish on the beach We had joy we had fun We had seasons in the sun But the stars we could reach Were just starfish on the beach We had joy we had fun We had seasons in the sun But the wine and the song like the seasons Have all gone All our lives we had fun We had seasons in the sun But the hills that we climbed were just seasons Out of time...... We had joy we had fun We had seasons in the sun (This song should be burnt, killed, thrown away forever, never to be seen or hurt the ears of man again, this is the most annoyingest song in the world.)
  19. I never saw a FACS player help a TRA player off the ground, except maybe number 89, Im not sure about it though. Ill admit it after watching film today and seeing all the cheap shots and late hits FACS players made agianst Drew, im sure we regret being so nice for the most part. I will admit we do have guys that run their mouth sometimes, what team doesnt, but were not as bad as any team we have played. Also same with all teams have good sportsmanship, FACS does I know #89 hardly ever did, but then agian I know that #24, #3, #10, and some others were bad about it. And you know that their is smack talking on every team. Its also easier to pick out the smack talkers and good sportsmanship people on other teams also. The most freindly player we have played all year would have to be that Nose Guard from Middleton, the really good one that never said anything bad and always spoke good things to us. But overall smack talk, its just how you react to it that matters.
  20. The final game of the season in D-II A, Rosemark(first time to ever be in the championship game) vs. Bishop Byrne(3 time winner of the championship). This is a game of revenge for Rosemark(9-2) after being beaten on their field during homecoming, on Oct. 1. Bishop Byrne(6-5) is still a very tough opponent in D-II A, Rosemark will have to bring their A game if we want to win this one. Share your thoughts, if any.
  21. I know him, keep me updated on chase alright?
  22. Good game last night FACS, yall played good. We will see yall next year. Good luck next season and during this basketball season. By the way why wasnt number #24 playing last night? Yes, Intlpilot, I was counting down the days left.
