I know it just scares you rebel fans to know that ALCOA is going to put up a real good fight this year. I know your nervous i've seen it first hand through the eyes of some of your players. Dustin is running the ball like he is in middle school again and on Maryville it's going to be no different. That split backfield and those smash routes are not going to work this year. I hope the Mr. UNC has time to get the ball off next week. Good Luck on the season though thumb

I played RB/DB in Georgia but I could'nt play at Alcoa though.

I went to ALCOA and I graduated in 2002.

WB did beat SD 60-0 in a scrimmage and I personally think ALCOA will put up over 40 points also because it seems like duck can do anything he wants to when he touch the ball. It's like he's in middle school again. Brandon got his shine on last year but I think Duck wants it back so he's going to do whatewver he can to contribute to the blowout Friday.

I believe the players are still tough, but they dont have alot of heart these days. I agree on the last reply about the heat situation and that trainers need to be around but players need to take better care of there bodies inside as well as outside. If your taking all kind of supplements to enhance your strenth and physical appearance just drink water like your supposed to and then heat and fatigue will not be a big factor. Early practices when I played were just as hot as they are now so stay healthy and play physical football. thumb

I haven't bought into the talk about how Alcoa can't be stopped this year by anyone because of two good athletes and a QB with an average arm. I wonder if they are not looking past SD and at a game that means little in terms of Region play vs. Maryville. 825304032[/snapback] How can you say Alcoa is a team with 2 good athletes and a quarterback with an average arm. There is more to Alcoa's team than Brandon and Dustin. Ryan Sykes may be one of the best defensive players on the team. Donte Lewis is also a solid linebacker, Logan Love is a solid strong safety and fullback, Martin White is on path to be a D-1 prospect also. And there's plenty more I can name. I'll just leave is at that.

Darryl Tate will make a name for himself even though he will be playing behind Dustin (Duck) Lindsey. This is only if Troy Hodge doesn't develop as fast as we hope. There's a possibility that he could be the starter after Duck graduates.

Just want some opinions from the rest of the state on what they think of ALCOA.

Maryville has some extremely dedicated fans and they travel well also.

Ryan Sykes from Alcoa, led the team in sacks last year as a freshmen. He's gotten stronger and faster since last year and will be a force to be reckoned with this year.
