The Crockett County game will come back to haunt Milan. Milan wont run the table in this region. Westview didnt, Huntingdon didnt, and Milan Won't. milan isnt playing like in years past and somehow I got the feeling Humboldt is gonna make things shakey in the region tonight! Just my opinion, not trying to start a fuss, but Milan has a VERY tough schedule ahead and I dont think they will pull it off. If there is a tie with the BIG Dogs of the region or even some upsets in the region....... Milan is riding the fence of making the playoffs. Fri Sep. 30 Humboldt R Fri Oct. 7 at Huntingdon R Fri Oct. 14 Dresden R Fri Oct. 21 at Peabody R Fri Oct. 28 at Westview R 3 BIG away games......Dont see them winning 2 of them. It's looking kinda tough to me!

Sorry Huntingdon fans.... I tried to keep my peace and not post! First off let me say this.... Boo in my opinion is the BEST running back in West Tennessee. Bar none. Chris does't give a rats butt about hype! Obviously, you dont know what type of kid Chris is! Chris doesnt care about what trophy or honors he gets. He's a humbled kid. Boo doesnt care about that stuff either. Newspaper articles and trophies dont matter to these two young men. Come to Huntingdon and take a look for yourself. You dont see one without the other one around. They stick together and compliment each other as well as the whole Huntingdon team. One or two players do not make Huntingdons team. Just so happens people get caught up in the Jackson Sun articles and radio crap. Ask any of those kids on the Huntingdon team who is the star of the team and you will get sixty different answers. Bet a dollar none of the answers will be the same! Everyone knows their role..... Boo cant succeed without his team, Chris cant succed without his TEAM, Baker cant succeed without his TEAM, Crocker cant succeed without his TEAM, Coach Mansfield cant succeed without his TEAM and we the fans of Huntingdon will not succeed without the Mustang TEAM. Get your heads out of your butts and realize you can't and won't start any controversy on here about who's better than who and who shines brightest in Huntingdon. TEAM play, pride and hard work is the definition of Huntingdon Football! not who get's the most newspaper articles and trophies. GO STANGS!!

Hey Guys you know the ole Reignman is still around licking his wounds but has moved on to this weeks game. Great game your team fought hard and came out on top! Great job! Eating crow?........ Nah. Westview was last week gotta concentrate on this week. I'm glad you guys are callin me out cause that means you were listening and I got your attention. Sometimes you gotta know where youve been in order to know where you're going Gotta feeling you too will be wondering what happened before the season ends. You got some tough competition coming your way as we do in Huntingdon the season is young and this region is gonna have some upsets weekly! Just because you beat Huntingdon doesnt mean you will cakewalk over others in the region. I'll even bet that USJ will will pull off a big one before the season is over. Right now people are taking them lightly. But if teams dont come with their A games an upset will be in the making. Anyway I hope Chris left a lasting impression in Martin VERY Proud to say he's my Godson and I expected nothing less from him Friday night or any other Friday night. Maybe nextime he will have a bigger chip on his shoulder. I dont want any team to ever forget that name or number. Great game Westview! You guys really played a great game. Much respect and good luck this season. Guy played remarkable last night and is a shifty back. Congrat's Markei much respect comin from the ole Reignman. Ok ..........Mustangs We've got that one over just like last year and things are back to normal. Let's Move on and make our run to "THE DERBY" GO STANG!!!

Huntingdon 35- Westview 13 Sluggish start for both teams, hard hitting and many penalties. Huntingdon has a breakout game passing and 300yds rushing on the ground. Standout player will be someone on the defensive side of the ball for Huntingdon. Guy gets LESS than 100yards rushing. but scores both td's His scoring will be late in the 3rd quarter. Huntingdon should be on cruise control by then. If they have learned the lesson from the Alcoa game: Learn how to close games and keep the pressure on when the opposing team is down. GO STANGS!!

Whew....... I kinda think that my post went over a few peoples heads. I was not ripping Huntingdon. Everyone on Coacht knows I'm Blue And Gold till the end! I was trying to point out that with all the politics and nonsense that goes on In other systems that you find LESS of it in the Huntingdon system. Thats why I'm comfortable with and root for the Mustangs. Coach Mansfield Gives it to the kids like it is. Tells them to put up or shut up on the field and in life situations. He's not looking for stars that shine brighter than the TEAM. Sure you'll have some players that standout but he always tells them that the TEAM is bigger than they are. Thats why Huntingdon is successful and TRADITION lives on in Huntingdon. All of the accomplishments of the Mustangs in the last few years have been QUIETLY done: News paper articles, news stations, and radio have created the stir. But Coach Mansfield calms this by letting the guys know that its more to the game than Saturday morning hype and trophies. They understand fully what needs to be done. Those that dont buy into the program usually fail or leave. and that's not always a bad thing. Sometimes it works better for those types of players and then sometimes not. So when people say that Huntingdon has young players this year and they are not as strong up front on the Offensive and Defensive lines.... think of it this way, they are physically ready they just need a little time to understand the mental part of the Coach Mansfields BIG BANG THEORY! Those players usually start getting it in November We all remember the MIGHTY DAVID LIPSCOMB And The MIGHTY ALCOA TORNADOES....... Their STARS were then and are now shining BRIGHTER than the team. Lets see how much success shines their way in 2005. Lets get it done quietly and let the rest take care of itself And if possible, realize that the only Saturday morning hype or trophy that means anything is the one from "THE DERBY" WIN or LOSE! GO STANGS!!

I dont want any of you to think that I speak for any other Huntingdon fans. These are my opinions and and not those of other Mustang faithful. Some of you need to realize that some of the comments I make are for purposes other than to make you upset or angry. They make you think about what actually goes on in small town politics, how some of the kids are being exploited for other reasons outside of football, what Lawyers kid gets all the press, and who's benefitting from your childs success or his failures. When you read my posts dont be so quick to think that I'm trashing you or your School. I have never trashed a kid on ANY of my posts. Just giving food for thought. Read my last post again and read between the lines. Huntingdon is just like ANY other high school in the nation. Politics, who's kid is where, press, and all that other crap. In the end these kids have gone out there and given their all win or lose. But some of them never see the benefits of their hard work. Kinda hoping that the cycle wont continue if we all could somehow read between the lines and look at the big picture. So when you walk into the coffee shop in the morning and you see the coach of your school after a big win whether it be a Huntingdon, a state championship or whatever.... pat him on the back, praise him, buy him breakfast and all that other stuff we do .......................But......... Dont forget to ask him what the SYSTEM can do or what the SYSTEM has done for "Little Johnny" after those stadium lights are turned off in November! That will change the system and I guarantee you he or she will read between the lines! Or Is he waiting on Spring practice? GO STANGS!!!!
