It's about 10 hours away from game time. I can't wait till kickoff... If Lenoir City knows whats good for them they will watch out for Johnson. And the deaf kid has worked hard but Johnson has always been good and has jus gotten better and better every year. I honestly don't think that there is very many people that can catch Johnson from an angle or from behind. I bet Stiner will surprise some of you all tonight with his running ability also. He is a very athletic person. There will have to be a reciever to mature very quickly by tonight in order to keep things a mix up. Im gonna have to take the Cougars by 10... GO COUGARS!!!! ONE HEARTBEAT

Why do you have Campbell County so low in the rankings?

This is really off subject but where ever did albert harris go?....I havent heard anythng about him or heard of hiim going anywhere

I'm not an Oneida fan or a Wartburg fan, but I am a Coach Wampler fan. He was one of my coaches last year at Campbell County. He is one heck of a coach. He knows what he is doing. On either side of the ball. He pitched 5 shutouts last year as a d coordinator and I look for him to put up some big numbers on offense this year. Mark my words.

Well as for the Shiverdecker deal goes, the Cougars can't make a gameplan for the patriots just yet. I think that they aren't even worried about them yet. They have to take it one game at a time or they will lose focus on the game at hand. The best thing for them to do is to worry about them in week 3. But hey what do I know I am an alumni and part of the best senior class EVER at Campbell County last year. Haha... All I have to say to the Cougars is good luck and I hope they can do better than what we did last year. I would love for the Cougars to break every record that we set last year. I hate that I can't play football anymore. I think about it every day and every night. I'm sure there are a lot of other former players out there that feel the same way as I do also. Go Cougars ONE HEARTBEAT!!

I dont know why you people get tore up about things that people say. That is what makes football, football. People have their own opinions on things and people. Players should not be hurt by what people say. That should make the players want it more. It should make them want to work harder and play harder. To prove everyone wrong. Take Campbell County for instance. Noone has ever had anything nice to say about us. Eventually we got tired of hearing what people had to say. It is a sense of motivation for the players and coaches. The best thing to do is for a player or a coach not to say one word about what other people are saying because when you are in the weightroom and at practice, its a family and the only people you have to worry about are the team. The only other thing i can say is to do the nike-- JUST DO IT!!

Chris Johnson from Campbell County has some sick sick moves. Just watch a highlight film of him and you will see why I say this. Especially for a "caucasion" kid also. No offense!!!

Oneida will be pretty good this year IMO if coach wampler can turn things around. He is one of the best coaches around hands down. Anyone who can take a team who has never had a winning season and take them to the playoffs is one heck of a man in my books. I just hope he does good things for them this year. But I also hope CC does better without him.

IMO, I think that the QB position is the hardest. A QB can't mess up at all on any of the plays. Every fake, every hand off is very important. and to be able to find an open reciever while scrambling is tough to do. And to be able to read the defense is hard too.

NO they aren't getting Johnson. Coach Wampler left CC and he is the one going to Oneida. And these rumors about him asking Johnson are NOT true.

I talked to johnson the other day and he really didnt say anything about going with him. It wouldn't surprise me if he did though. I just hope that if he did go to oneida, that it wouldnt mess his chances up on going to college because of the level of play. Wampler did what he said he would do. When he first got here, he said that he was going to turn this prpgram around. And that he did. Hopefully he can acheive the same goal at oneida.The only other thing that i can tell the people of oneida, any story that wampler tells, dont believe but i prolly wont have to tell you all that....

I can't believe that you guys are leaving out Chris Johnson from Campbell County. He is one of the best runningbacks in the state. By far. I guess it's because he plays for Campbell County...

Yea I see where you are coming from but you have to understand how the fan base "was" in campbell county up until the past couple of years. It's hard to overcome such obsticles as CC has. And since we are beginning to establish a good fan base it gives the players confidence. Oak Ridge has had a good fan base for a long time.. And that helps a lot. Everything that we have done has been on our own. And now that everyone knows that CC is for real its gonna continue to get more intense, but with a good fan base it makes things easier in a sense because if they have believers then it is a heck of a lot easier to believe. Two years ago when Campbell County went 3-7, we believed we were gonna win every game. And that carried on the next year and we went 7-4. Now everyone believes and that adds flame to the fire. Can you see what I mean. And I don't think that last year was a fluke at all. Let me know what you all think. Just be on the lookout for the cougars to make another great season especially with the o line that they have, the quarterback they have and one of the states best runningbacks. The cougars expect bigger things this year. I just wish I had another year. But I think that my senior class ended on a good note and ended Campbell County being the "seller dweller"....Oh and there was a lot of talk last year about Campbell County playing Oak Ridge in the second round. I would loved to play at Blankenship Field. Just because that is such a great football atmosphere.

Its good to see that there is more contraversy over the cougars...The only thing I can say is that the cougars look good this year. Yes the defense lacks the speed they did last year but they still have the same 6 returning on defense. Offense is Honestly going to be hard to stop. Really... The O line is bigger and the backfield is twice as fast. Josh Howard will add a lot at fullback. I can't wait till again the COugars surprise people this year. They'll get tired of hearing about them. And as Oak Ridge stands, all good things come to an end and I honestly think it's coming soon.

I just want to say something. In my opinion, Chris Johnson from Campbell County is a better runningback when he is is the open field. If Campbell County had an Oak Ridge line. He would be better. Not saying CC doesn't have a good line because they do. They have a dang good one. But I guarantee if you were to watch these two play and then compare, you would think differently. They were the same way in middle school. And I know that that was a long time ago but they both progressed the same. And honestly, your gonna hear a lot about Chris Johnson, no matter what. Ohh and another thing, Campbell County will be in the playoffs again probly close to the top if things go the way they are now. I guess we'll see when spring practice rolls around..I can't wait....GO COUGARS

Wow, I can't believe JC4life said that about CC. I can't believe anyone would even let that thought enter their minds..haha...But it's good that Campbell County is getting attention because after the season we had last year, we should get attention. And as a Cougar alumni now, I will be at every game cheering them on as they all did for us. Good luck to the cougars and I expect them to do better than they did last year. Offense should be better than last year. I can't wait till spring practice.

Ask the West High players how hard it was to play at Campbell County

I'm glad that everyone thinks that CC will be near the bottom. That's what they said in football, too. I bet they finish near the top. They played good against OR tonight. They only lost by 2. Trust me. This team will get better.

I'd be willing to bet any amount of money that those three teams will each bring home the gold balls....

I don't know if it is because he plays for Campbell County or what but Chris Johnson is one running back that people will know very well next year if you havent heard of him already. Ask anyone who has played against him and they will tell you how good this kid is. over 1300 yards and 17 td's. And owns every record at CC which i know didnt say much b4 but things have changed.

If you only knew how we went into that game you would understand that situation. We thought we had that game won before we even steppped out onto the field. I think AC has enough to fear anyways because I've heard of some CC players coming back to the Cougar team that will help. More than one for that matter. Some that aren't even from CC.By the way I would love to see AC beat people like Sevier County or Science Hill. South Doyle or Bearden for that matter.
