Having seen Coffey play 3 times against Marshall County, I come away more impressed with his game each and every time. He is well rounded and creates such problems on the press with he and Tyler's athleticism. If he isn't the top bench player in the state he is right there at the top.

With Loretto, Page, & Fairview all having identical 4-6 district marks, all having split the regular season games with each other, all having lost twice to Giles Co. and Lewis Co, and all having beaten Marshall Co. twice, I assume there will be a coin flip to determine 3,4,& 5. Am I thinking correctly or have I missed something?

ELA, Coach Mac at Marshall Co. is staying put. He said he is happy in Lewisburg and looking forward to next year.

Having seen both clubs take on Marshall County this year, I feel like Giles Co. has way too many athletes for Lewis Co. Lewis maximizes their talent, but unless Mendez can find a way to stop Howard from getting Giles into transition, it could be a long night. Howard, in my opinion,is seriously underrated. Smith will really miss him next year.

It's the matchup most all of us have been waiting for.McNairy was a great squad tonight and I was really impressed by Jake Kizer.I am very anxious to see Pitts and Williams and see how Henry and Davis stack up gainst them. See ya Friday! I can hardly wait!!!

There is also that other big factor that comes into play with the passing game this time of the year.......... COLD!COLD!COLD!!!! The old addage holds true more often times than not... Successful teams better be able to run the ball and play good defense.

As I continue to see references made on other threads that somehow suggest that Marshall County's assistant principal had stolen signals and had a direct effect on the outcome of the Page-Marshall Co. game, I feel I have to once and for all put all of these conspiracy theorists to rest.I want to do this because I don't want others to think the Tigers in some way cheat to win and because I ESPECIALLY don't want others to question the integrity of the MCHS assistant principal. I help broadcast the games for WAXO in Lewisburg.The assistant principal for MCHS helps us out by doing our sideline reporting.Some have mistakenly thought that our assistant principal was stealing signs because he was raising his arm on the sidelines and that he had a box on to transmit secret code to the Tiger sidelines.He was raising his hand to signal that he had something he wanted to broadcast from the sidelines.He does this toward the end of each quarter or if there is a big play or injury that he would like to update us on. We in the box know to look for him in these circumstances. He was only doing his job.This man is one of the most upstanding persons you would ever want to meet. His character is beyond reproach. It makes me sick to think that after the way he talked about how much he enjoyed and respected the Page fans and players during our pregame show, he and our school have to put up with these accusations. And finally, if I have'nt convinced you yet let's try this.I have been around the Tiger coaches and I have no idea what their different terminology means for each play call.It takes a while to figure out I'm sure. Our assistant principal is a very smart man, but the only way he would know what play was being sent in is if the Page coaches sent in the plays something like this: Jared drop back and hit Abner on a slant pass. I seriously doubt that's how it is done. I know all Page fans aren't like this but these uninformed few sure do throw more fuel on the fire in this rivalry.I hope I have ended this once and for all.By the way, good luck in the playoffs MCHS!!!

I just couldn't resist posting on this one. While it is true that Page played a very difficult schedule,who would have forseen Centennial being this good before the season started.I'm sure you guys were counting that one as a "w" before the season started.Also as for Brentwood and Centennial,they are both games of county interest and are good for your school as far as the gates go.And finally, as for trashing Marshall Co.: The Tigers played Whites Creek and Lipscomb(no patsys there)in their non-region schedule plus went undefeated in the region.Although we didn't like it, you beat us two years ago 33-23.You have a good QB in Jared Elliott and you competed hard this year but the Tigers won the game fair and square.Give our players some credit,they deserve it! .

No disrespect intended for anyone else on this list, but if they are better than Mario Davis, I'll have to see it. He plays with Darryl Henry(798 yds rushing, 10.1/carry who should probably get some consideration in his own right) and because of this he might not have the sheer numbers that some of the others have. But here is something to consider.In nine games, he is the teams leading rusher (101 carries,1051 yds,10.4/carry),leading receiver(23 rec, 376 yds,16.3/rec),and for good measure he has returned a punt and a fumble recovery defensively for a touchdown.He has that rare ability that the great ones have in that every time he touches the ball, everyone in the stands is glued to the play in anticipation of seeing something special.His offensive line is great, but I would love to have a stat on how many of his yards have come after the first hit.He is a human highlight film.Here is the stat that I think might set him apart from the others. Consider this: He scores one out of every five times he touches the ball(24 TDs).Good luck in the drive for five tigers!!!
