Have to go with Betsy on this one---No disrespect to the Longhorns, but we actually won a couple of games ----Betsy totally dominated. But Thats why you play the games---good luck to both. I would enjoy seeing the battle at the one seed. Should be close with either player winning

No offense CoachT but I recall a vote they had last time that over 80% of member schools voted for (having a true public/private classifications) that was turned over by the TSSAA board of control for the "good of sports" in favor of the multiplier. And I personally am against this for one reason if its good for one the do it for all---no summer practice for any sport------why fall sports cause they start before the others and it would benefit them more??????

Chuckey DOak HS in Afton Tn. (hr east of K-ville) has a girl that has yet to commit, she was named All State this year.

Saw Brumit (the older) play this weekend--not bad, should be an interesting match between him and the winner form district 2 (either Chuckey Doak or Pigeon Forge)-havent seen the others play

He is only a sophomore, he has hit with some of ETSU's players and would like to go there, but it is way to early to know what is going to happen

Well we shall see sounds like he is pretty good, we have one ourself in Ittroj Sukksattayanont (exchange from Thailand) he played last years AAA winner Stephen Shao in Dec and lost 6-4, so he can play a little bit. We look forward to meeting Van Zant should be a good match

Very interesting post.......I feel that a lot of it has to do with what has already been posted the 3 C's Commitment, Community, and C(K)ids. You can have a great staff and great support, but its hard to beat genetics.

First let me say that Catholic will be very competitive in 3A. We played them the last 2 years---granted not to competitivley but they are a talented bunch. More importantly they have what seems to be a great coaching staff (and a lot of them). As for KC tradition I am shaky on that being a factor in their success. I rememebr years ago when NG beat them, and they were not to competitive. It was when they moved the school to west Knoxville and pumped A LOT of $$$$$ into the program that they took off. As far as recruiting I dont have any first ahnd knowledge, but can offer this, combine first rate facilites, a solid coaching staff, and a chance at a great education-----who needs to recruit the school probably recruits itself. BTW the Mcfadden kid is legit, could have started for ANY of the Reg. 2 AA powers this year

Dmoyer--Yes the best at any level a couple of years ago--in fact they beat maryville that year when maryville won the 4A title. So yes they were the best at all levels that year. This year I have no idea, so that is the source of my original question.

We palyed Alcoa a couple of years ago---when they won hte title and it was one of if not the best team I have seen in Tenn. in ALL divisons. I was wondering how this team stacked up with that one

We have played both and have to say that SG is more explosive in OFfense. I would go with SG by about 7-14. CD got over 300 yds total offense and should have scored 3 more times. we had 3 turnovers inside the hampton 10 yd line. add them its 40 to 35----------BUT you cant add them the game was played hampton beat us in a blowout.

DeWayne Wells--Campbell County, he ahs rebuilt thsi team into a playoff contender---for a team that hasn't ever had a winning season

Dont have exact numbers but I believe it was pretty close. In face CD had a goal nullified because of an offsides that made it 2-2. We jsut dont match up well with Pigeon Forge---dont know if its voodoo or what
