anybody got a score?

Will a BGA win get them in the playoffs? Does it matter that they arent D2 AAA.. or is it just the number of wins that gets you in?

yeah it stinks though.... i go to knoxville on sat... then i have to come back in less than a week for the game... oh well... it better be worth it

Gosh im sick of this darn thread.... three years in a row people have talked and gotten nowhere.... the last couple years i kept up with all of this...but this is actually the first time i've looked at it this summer.... i say next year nobody talks till after the game has been played because the talk is cheap... i feel rediculous posting on it... but as long as i am on here... good luck irish... stopping golden is the road to victory

FRHS beat BA 3-0, then lost to MBA 4-3 to place 3rd .... MBA and BGA will play tomorrow and friday if MBA wins...

FRHS is inconsistent right now, but still show signs of being a good team. They did lose two tough games to bga..both in 8 innings, and all of the region losses have been by one run...which at one point in each game they held a lead... except a 9-7 loss to BA... and yes losing to Davidson Academy was embarassing ... it being 15-14 and hitting into a game ending double play with the bases loaded... but came back wednesday and beat them 22-3... if frhs can come together and play consistent ball in a couple weeks they could sneak up on people

FRHS offense finally coming around with 33 runs in 3 games against BA.

I guess if you are outside the Middle TN area, you wouldnt have heard as much about sonny gray.... but yeah..he did throw in the low 90's last year as a freshman.... but if you are from middle tennessee... you definitely should know who this kid is

McCallie very well could be the team to beat, but as many others have said.. they will not take it with ease. McCallie keeps blaming their eliminating loss to FRHS last year on the "emotionally draining" game against cbhs before... and? FRHS beat CBHS the next day... and after losing Charles Williams, I sure hope mr. coleman isn't your number one this year, because if so, your cakewalk to state won't be so easy...but not hating on McCallie...because im guessing straightuplaxin is not a baseball player..and that the McCallie players have more class than that... it should be a fun year in D2...and thank God some of the State Tourney games won't be played on a team's home field this year...oh yea..wait..BGA... I don't understand this concept?

The battles between BGA and FRHS are going to be great this year. The series is very early in region play, but will have tourney feel to it. Both teams have a lot of talent coming back, I can't wait.

Yes, Peyton Pratt transferring from Ravenwood will help Forrest big time. He is an excellent fielder at both 1st and 3rd.. and has a big bat. Jeremy Lamb is also a great athlete with exceptional speed. Good luck to Forrest this spring.

Yes, the Irish played with a little more fire tonight after that story in the Tennessean today.... Congrats oncoming out with a win...Defense played great all night long.. AND the Irish won the turnover battle...and won the game... big game next week against mba......hopefully we can shock the mid state with a win

I think Briarcrest held their own against Mccallie...they did not get blown out... and if the Irish played like they did against Franklin and NOT turn the ball over, they can win handily against many teams, including briarcrest... the key is turnovers..

yes.. Father Ryan has beaten BA... not recently, but yes....and complaining about playing at vanderbilt? ... you have to be kidding... as a high school player its a thrill to play on a college field and in a stadium like Vanderbilt's...

FRW, I have to disagree with you, Franklin probably couldn't beat BA any day of the week... maybe once in 10 times, but Franklin never schedules them... along with any other private schools... and i think this will scare them away as well but as for Franklin being in the 10 ten?... maybe not this week, but just because FRHS beat them shouldnt make them slip too much

That game was incredible..... those boys needed the win so bad..not just for them..but to finally get the student body at the school to believe... they won it with heart.... and what father ryan football is all about... its been way too long and as for saying the playing field wasn't level.... wow..the Father Ryan players you saw out there tonight... they were not recruited... and if the playing fields are level..then shouldnt facilities be made level too?... i'd like to compare the Irish's weight room to Franklin's..... Father Ryan's weight room is as big as my kitchen...Franklin has their own stadium.... Father Ryan has a "soccer field" Thanks guys on such a great game.. i said before that anything could happen.. just like last year at CBHS... but this was no 1 point victory on a game winning field goal... you beat it down their throats and made the big plays... congratulations IRISH PRIDE
