  1. If you are blaming the teachers or any schools administrators for what happened @ Westside, you are sadly mistaken. These kids are thugs and have no concept of right or wrong. Now if you are blaming the parents of these thugs, when you say adults are to blame then you would be correct.
  2. Last week against Harding they only had 12 players. Must get old getting beat every week.

  4. Imaowl, thats is a MONSTER. Just curious are you a MUS Owl? I don't how big the player from WB is, but Oher from Briarcrest is 6'5" 330 and looks huge when hes on the field.
  5. Chris Mosby, CBHS , Cassius Vaughn, East, Charlie Jordan and Curtus Echols of White Station are all very good and will be highly recruited next year.
  6. I've seen MUS, White station and CBHS all play this year. CBHS is the best team in Shelby County. Thier defense is very good. BA's 2 TDs came off to's deep in CBHS's end of the field. White Station is very fast, Charlie Jordan and Curtis Echols, will be big time prospects next year. MUS is a very good team, just don't think they are as good as CBHS, but we will see in time. Cannot speak for the rest of West Tenn. I know JCM is very good, but haven't seen them play. I've also seen Melorose play and wasn't impressed.
  7. De La Salle played a tough schedule every year and didn't duck anybody. Thier O-Line was so quick off the ball it was unbelievable. I saw them play Evangel Christian last year , they avg 218 on the O-Line and Evangel avg 285 on the D-Line, it wasn't even funny how bad the D-Line got blown off the ball. De La Salle's coach is 287-14-2 in 26 years, pretty impressive.
  8. De La Salle lost an awful lot of talent last year and it was just a matter of time before they lost. The amazing thing is last year when they played Evangel Christian it was noted that Evangel's D- line avg. 285 and De La Salle's O-Line avg. 218 and De La Salle blew them off the ball all night long. Bellevue is the 3 time defending state champs in the largest classification in Wash., so they have a good team. De La Salle, to thier credit never ducked anyone, they played some of the best teams in the country every year. Sorry to see them lose.
  9. I watchwd CBHS 2X last year, against Melrose and MBA. This years team is better in mho. I 've seen them against Whitehaven and East this year, and they seem faster this year. I'm looking for a great battle. Can't wait til Friday night.
  10. Whats everyones take on this game Friday night. I've seen CBHS play both games this year ( 1 live and the other on tape delay) and they seem to be better than last years team. I'm excited about this game and I'm sure both teams won't dissappoint.
  11. Memphis Catholic is a bad football team. If you have any kind of a team you will beat them and beat them bad.
  12. Good post Indian. 40 times are overrated. Unless try are electronically timed they don't mean anything. You can not time someone, w/ a stopwatch, and get a accurate time. As a rule of thumb you can add a 1 to 1.5 sec to any high schoolers time that are not timed electronically. If you follow recruiting a lot, you see a lot of players when they get on campus and are timed they are not near as fast as they were in high school.
  13. They had talked about having 6 min. quarters w/ a running clock, but I guess the Westwood coach didn't want to do that. The Westwood coach also said that he had some 8th graders on the team, which made up some of the remaining 16 players. I don't see how that could within the rule, but that what he said on the radio.
  14. I've heard from both coaches on the game in question last Friday. Westwood coach says he quit mainly because he only had 16 kids left to play( only started w/ 21). A lot of these kids were 9th graders and didn't want to get them hurt. Coach Slocum from Fairley was caught in a lie when he called into a radio station, that was dicussing the game. It had been told that Fairely had called a TO w/ 50 secs. left in the 1st half and then threw to the endzone 2 times @ the end of the half. He denied this. The head offical said that this did happen. I can't blame the coach of Westwood for doing what he did. Westwood used to have a good team, but open enrollment in the city schools have hurt some school because of recruiting. I feel the coach was trying to protect his players and that is the most important thing.
