the '79 and '80 Oak Ridge teams. they put my dad's team out of the semi finals in 79 and he says they looked like the steelers when they walked out on the field. 3rd in the nation in '80, too.

i agree heavily with cbg's idea; however, somebody who is third in a region might not like it as much and i probably wouldnt then if i was involved with a third place team. the bowl idea is awesome too. everybody loves a game that means more than the regular season games. as far as the playoff teams with losses, maybe this year the teams are more overall similar skill-wise.

hey wingman just to let u know.. we arent usually known as wildcat82 and dt57, i am number 82 and he is 57. our team may not be as good this year as tullahoma has been in the past but you really need to show some consideration towards some high school athletes. after practicing for 5 hours every day in july and august, which came after months of weight lifting and conditioning, we do not deserve a lifeless nobody that lives off of the internet insulting us and the team that we play for. we will always have pride in our hearts towards our team and teammates and the priceless time that we have spent together. the last thing we deserve is a complete loser with nothing to live for but putting people down to try and hurt our pride. i'm sure you never had the balls and heart to play football at a competitive level, so i can almost understand your attitude. but nevertheless; ###### you and everything that you stand for and i hope that one day you will grow up and develop something that is known to most as - respect.

i would give anything to find out who you are wingman. so far i've narrowed it down to: 1. male 2. no life whatsoever 3. achieves happiness by other peoples' downfalls 4. most likely not from tullahoma but this is not certain 5. was horrible at sports, which causes extreme jealousy towards good athletes if anybody has anything else, please feel free to express.. haha

i wish i knew who you are wingman and why you hate tullahoma so much. my best guess is your from manchester and you are an extremely sore loser.

We (tullahoma) scrimaged both of them in the preseason and they are both definately not as good as teams from the past to come from those schools. this should be a very good game to watch because they are both in the same situation experience wise. i am gonna pick lincoln county tho because we beat oakland by about 20 points and lincoln county was a close one (i still dont know who won) and besides, they are in the pit. its hard to win at that place.

Lincoln County is recovering from losses of many key players, including two mr football's. i was devastated to see them lose third round to riverdale last year in the pit. I thought '03 was the season for Lincoln County to do it again. But more on the topic, this is a rival - and if anybody reading this post was one of the 7500 at the coffee pot last week then you know that the winner of a rival game almost can't ever be predicted. Rival games are tests of heart and want-to. Nobody thought we would do what we did to the Raiders. Not many think The Falcons will do it, but you never know. FC has LC beat on paper. But CC had us beat by at least 2 touchdowns on paper. Both of these teams have old football running through thier blood and a lot of heart. This might be just as good to watch as the '04 coffee pot.

Franklin county is undefeated, although this friday will be the real test to see what they are made of. I predict FC to win, but if the recovering Lincoln County Falcons keep it close then the Rebels might be a little overrated. Not exactly a tough Schedule either. But with all due respect, Franklin County is looking rather nice this year. They have talent, size, and most importantly- heart. This will be a battle.

Tullahoma is coming off of a win that can very easily turn a season around, yet Overton will be hungry after getting embarrassed by Antioch. This game is predicted by many to be a good close one. I think we will go up there rain or shine and get to work quickly. Execution problems seen in franklin county and shelbyville games are appearing to fizzle out. opinions?

ok guys.. first of all i think most would agree that tullahoma and manchester are extremely similar. we hate the same stuff about each other. its funny cuz you will hear a tullahoma person talkin about "them loud mouth manchester people". then at the same time they are runnin thier mouths too. its an ongoing cycle between two cities in the same county. its mostly based on insecurity in my opinion. but o well its innocent fun and nobody is getting hurt over people gettin involved in a extremely heart-filled rival game. whether they r talkin trash about the other team, helping prepare the field, working the ticket gates, or simply yelling thier lungs out for 48 mins, they all have something in common - they love thier town and thier town's football team and want to support it. trash talk is just part of it and as long as u dont take it personal then it can be one of the funnest things that you do. just learn to laugh with it cuz some of it really is funny, especially when its a complete idiot tryin to dawg the other town but only makin themselves look stupid. and i also agree totally with u tnradioguy u made a great point. and just to let u know, i was one of those on the field playin on sheer emotion for 48 mins and wut happened friday night i will carry with me for the rest of my life. it is by far the biggest game of my life and i will never forget playing harder then i ever have and winning my senior coffee pot game.

ok im confused... semperfi is talkin awfully bad about tullahoma AFTER we won the contest last night. and wingman, did u say an above average coffee county team got beat by a below average tullahoma team? i guess you are just tryin to say that a below average team for tullahoma is still better than an above average team for coffee county. sorry my mistake i understand now.
