I wasn't saying that the other team should lay down....and my kid can take care of himself if anyone picks on him, player or no player. I respect my kids and they respect me. I hope that these Clinton kids will use the game as a way to get fired up and play some football.

Nobody wants to see any kid get hurt, regardless of what team they are on or who they coach. Those kids should have played hard, I expect mine to play hard, but I still think that the Oak Ridge coach was trying to prove a point. They didn't want him to begin with (I think he was like 3rd choice) and he wanted to prove to the Oak Ridge fans that he was for real, at any expense.

Nobody in Oak Ridge thinks of anyone as rivals, because they think they are better than all the rest....oh, what a downhill spiral they are riding on....have a nice fall!

Nobody ever said that Clinton was as good as Oak Ridge on the football field. That's not the point and you know it. Clinton may not beat OR in 10 years, but justice by someone will be sweet to see and it will come, just like last year. You just proved my point about being classless with your distasteful post...not take the kids feelings into consideration? Are you a parent????..what would have happened if Gulmire would have gotten hurt in your coaches way to prove himself..yes, you do have to think about the kids.....

Now, what you need to do is think about how you would feel if it were turned around and Clinton did that to Oak Ridge. I don't agree with any type of vandalism, I've said that over and over. It's ignorant, but I didn't see one of those students that did the vandalism out on that field playing on Friday night....I wish they were the ones that were humiliated, but instead, the innocent ones suffered. 74 points was tasteless and classless for ANY school and any coach that does it.

You had the game won at halftime....it wasn't about winning or losing at that point....You teach your kids CLASS..first and foremost....you failed on teaching an important characteristic.

No, first of all calling anyone an idiot because they express their opinion is a truly obnoxious....I agree about the vandalism...totally classless. That does not make it right to run up the score on anyone. Period. Defend it all you want, it was wrong. Enough said on the matter.

Quarrels is a class act....don't look for him to be classless like the Oak Ridge coach...there is no comparison in the two.....

Yes, different game....but same coaching...it all comes back to character..or there lack of.

I was there and they are not ambiguous accusations and OR are the only poor sports in this game...win or lose, you should do it with class. I guess it was "okay" when the OR Freshman coaches called a time-out (with 9 seconds to go in the game and leading 20-0!) and put their starters back in the game, because Clinton was getting ready to score....how do you defend that one? There is NO reasonable defense......like I said...NO CLASS..plain and simple!

Passing is one thing, passing into the end zone is another....that's called trying to score.....

A head coach in high school should consider ALL student/athletes participating in the game. He should consider what the Clinton players were going through and called plays /subbed accordingly! What comes around goes around!
