My daughter became a keeper about 6 years ago, so I tried to do some research on shots and saves. There are 2 catgories A "shot on goal" is the only thing a keeper can get credit for. A "shot on goal" has to have a resonable change of being a goal. A shot can be credited to a player that is making an attempt to score but has no chance of going in. For example a ball off the cross bar is not a shot on goal, and the keeper does not get credit for a save. Keeper also get no credit for stopping crosses, punch outs ect... This is why keeper stats can be very misleading. If you look at college stats, Shots on Goal should equal saves + Goals

The good news is with the wind blowing the way it is, I'm sure that the Fairview Keeper will get the ball past midfield for at least a half

Marking your best player is called smart soccer. Over the last 2 years each team scored 3 goals each. Pretty evan matches. MC had a man advantage for 23 minutes, couldn't score and gave up a goal. The game was no fluke. Two good teams played a very tough game.

MC played a great game tonight, as they did last week. Weather had a impact on the game. Fairview made some adjustments on defense and worked a little better on offense. There should be no rip on the season MC had, bad luck on district tournament pairings. Wish Fairview and MC would have played the finals.

I'm sure you are correct. I'm sure no college coaches care about ODP. Even though this is their regular season, I'm sure they are coming out watching high school games.

cpa won in overtime 1 - 0 Don't know the girls name, but #16 got a turnover at about the 18, bouced a shot off the far post for the only goal about 6 minutes into the first OT

Lauren plays with a great team (JPII). I think Franklin is rebuilding. I'm pretty sure the Tayrn and Lauren playded on same club team, with Tayrn getting most of the work at crunch time. Could be injuries, I'm sure Lauren is a quality keeper though. I'll admit I have know idea about katherine. Does she play for a club team?

Tessa gives it all no doubt, Kelly Dyer is the best in the state National ODP player, but please...you have a couple of great keepers in middle TN( check you ODP rosters) Tayrn Holland and Olivia Walter. Never saw Melissa play, do know she tried ODP but was either injured or quit.
