  1. FRA will have a live webcast www.frapanthers.com Click "live football webcast" at bottom left corner
  2. FRA has broadcast though frapanthers.com -click "live football webcast" in lower left hand corner
  3. The defenses worked very hard. How is the ankle of the defender from FRA?
  4. I don't think CPA will have any problem with USJ. You had better watch this team. If you don't know their weapons, they have the ability to surprise you.
  5. Brentwood High is good. Franklin Road Academy was missing, Morgan Crawford (sick), who I think is their leading scorer this year. I think that would have helped FRA hold the ball up top more. Brentwood High is fast and seems to be fairly deep.
  6. The complaints that I have heard are from people that did play at Finley before and after the turf. Although, the turf was a great improvement from the newly sandy/sodded center of the field in 2004, which was horrible. The turf in 2005 did cause the ball to handle differently and if you went down on it, the turf burns were much more harsh to the hips and knees than natural grass. You play on grass all season, you should play on grass during the state tournament. As far as other locations of the tournament. In going to Mike Rose, for the boys, it felt too much like a "select" tournament. I thought the way the girls tournament was handled this year was fine. You might change venues for different classifications, but they did have three excellent fields to play on.
  7. Key word here is "earlier in the season." Wouldn't put a whole lot of weight on that game. But, FRA has to come out of a very strong district first, as history has shown. Agreed that Notre Dame should not be counted out, as well as CAK, Knox Catholic, CCS and the two of the following: FRA, CPA, David Lipscomb or DCA.
  8. "Blow them out" is pretty strong, but then you never know. I think the game between CHS and FRA last year was pretty competitive.
  9. To be the best, you have to play the best. This has happened before in A/AA and the best team prevailed.
  10. If things were to happen this way, sad to see #1 CCS and #2 FRA meet in quarter finals of state. But, you have to play the best to be the best! CCS-4, Notre Dame 2
  11. I know a few Coaches that will not allow it and are well respected for that. They will pull starters at 3-0. Other kids get to play and then will only let it get up to 5 or 6. A Coach can control this with substituion and/or changing positions of the players, unless all of the players are that good. But, at the same time, it could hurt a player later in getting voted ALL-DISTRICT, REGION, STATE. If the Coach does not let them run up the stats, they don't get noticed. I think stats should be recogninzed in two different situations, one against a good team and one against a bad one.
  12. I am not sure how Division II plays the state championship out. But, if the Middle Tennesse teams get split into opposite brackets, I think it could be a Middle Tennesse finals. Father Ryan vs. JPII.
