  1. Hate to miss the game, and homecoming, but BareNaked Ladies are in town.
  2. To this point, Boyd would be 5-0 with Silverdale's schedule. Silverdale would be 1-3 or 0-4 with Boyd's schedule.
  3. Bucs hold --- take over on Grace 26 -- 2:16 left
  4. under 4 mins left...Bucs punt to Grace 20
  5. Only if you are carrying the clipboard on the sideline...there's no spot on the scoreboard for "home wins last two seasons"
  6. I may be wrong, but I think only one poster in this thread asked if the silverdale scores could be an indicator, but never said it was the defining comparison. BBS folks haven't been talking it up, but Grace folks keep bringing it up...so it's on someone's mind.
  7. Well, it's the numbers you like that do not lie...you use stats from up to four years ago, and yet you discredit any comparison based on the scores from the respective games against Silverdale from this year. Throw any number at us you wish if it helps you justify your feelings...they mean nothing to the rest of us.
  8. Play the game on paper all you want to...whatever helps you feel better...paper and stats mean nothing on Friday.
  9. Buc penalties have been Oneida's best defense so far
  10. ...happened to Boyd last year. Week 9 bye, week 10 Copper Basin, 1st round bye, and then came out flat vs. Rockwood and never got back into rhythm vs FC. I hate losing home field in round 2, but keeping momentum and routine can go a long way.
  11. If Rockwood is TWICE as good as last year, how is it that your 5 wins (+Taft forfeit) didn't include any teams with winning records?
  12. Not sure what you are unclear about...BBS is a 1A (playoffs) sized school, which, because of the multiplier, has been moved up to 2A (playoffs). IF the rule was not in place, BBS would likely be moved up to 3A, still with a 1A enrollment, and probably would be the smallest school in 3A. To keep the playing field level, as you say, there needs to be a balance on both sides. The 1.8 multiplier pushes up from one end, and the 1 classification rule pushes down from the other. If fairness is given to the teams in 1A by the multiplier, some measure of fairness also has to be given to the team being multiplied. I understand where coach is coming from...if forced into 3A, BBS could compete, but would be at a disadvantage. Moving to DII would have at least kept BBS competing on a more level field. If all BBS is doing is looking for an advantage, they should have moved to DII class A already...I think the path to a state championship might, on the surface, look easier there than where they are now. Now, if you want to talk about a team that underestimates their numbers to play down in classification their first couple of years...
  13. Boyd would be in the "A" class of division 2. Don't think we would be playing BA or any of the D2 "AA" schools...at least not year-in-year-out.
  14. You are mistaken if you thought I was mocking God. I was commenting on how you need to be more cautious about how you use the Lord's name. The logic of what you said in those two posts sounded like: It may have been the wrong call, but Jesus took over as the referee (wore the striped shirt, as you said) and controlled the outcome, even if he had to be dishonest about the outcome. So it sounded like Jesus, who does not lie, would use a lie to create a deceptive outcome...that's careless. Yes, God works in mysterious ways, but never has to rely on dishonesty (or any other sin) to accomplish his will. That is against His way. Maybe you weren't saying it, but it sure sounded like it. Just think about how it sounds before you say it...A lesson I had to learn when I was a teenager. Also, remember that God is not a puppeteer. While He has the ability to control all things, He does not necessarily micro-manage all things. He gives man the ability and freedom to make decisions and take actions that do change the course of life's events. If He didn't do this, we would never need His forgiveness and grace.
  15. So, you're saying that our SINLESS Lord fabricated a LIE just to manipulate the ending of a football game. Really???
  16. Well, one of those missed XP's was made up for by a 2 point conversion, but all of the "ifs" are at least things that the players do to decide the outcome...not by some incompetent official who was moving as if he had just had a colonoscopy from that obnoxious horn.
  17. No I do not see any photographer, and I doubt you've seen anything other than this video...but I don't care if Ansel Adams was on your sideline taking photos, it still doesn't make it a TD.
  18. If we look at DCA (the one common opponent) as a measuring stick, the two teams should be somewhat evenly matched. Boyd won by 4 and FCS lost by 8...both one-score games either way. I think that FCS will be on such a high from playing so hard and beating their rival last week that they will have a hard time repeating that effort. BBS was cocky last week and almost got beat...lesson learned and they should be better prepared this week. That and home field may give BBS the advantage. I'll predict BBS 28 FCS 21.
  19. so, what you're saying is, we recruit?
  20. Say what you need to say about recruiting, that's fine. You're not telling us anything we haven't heard hundreds of times before. You're not breaking any new ground or sharing original thoughts. It's not for our benefit that you say it, it's for your own.
