If you will notice on this site about illegal bats the Anderson Rockettech that is mentioned is not the Rockettech FP. The FP means it is for fastpitch. The one that is mentioned is for slowpitch ball.

I would like to add Lawrence County's # 11,Ashley Moore, to your list of unsung heroes. Every game she's on the floor she gives 100%, whether it is with rebounding, stealing the ball, or taking a charge for the team. I would also like to mention the rest of the team that doesn't get recognized as they should. They may not be starters and some may not get put into every game; however they go to practice every day and are a part of the team. Without them the ones who do always get the recognition would not be able to have the opportunity to improve their skills, because they would not have anyone to challenge them during practice! Go Lady Cats!!!!

What players were named on the 8AAA All District Tournament Team?

Lawrence County will be losing 6 seniors, Brooke Beck, Kasey Story, Shannon Cox, Carol Marie Wright, Mallory Hammond, Audrey Stofel. They will be greatly missed and everyone wishes them the best of luck in all that they choose to do in the future. Thanks for 4 memorable years!!! We'll miss all of you!!!

Friday night Shelbyvile defeated Columbia, Lincoln Co. defeated Lawrence Co. Saturday's games- Shelbyville defeated Coffee Co. in 8 innings, Tullahoma defeated Lincoln Co.

What's going on with the Lawrence Co. softball team? They've only won 1 game so far and it wasn't even a district game.

Is it true that the Stone sisters from Loretto quit the softball team? If so, does anyone know the reason? They are both great players and hate to see them leave.

How is the player from Franklin County that was injured this weekend? I heard that they thought she had dislocated her finger, but it looked pretty bad. Just wish her the best of luck and a speedy recovery. Hate to hear of anyone getting injured.

We"e had two Wicked bats that developed cracks in them and we just acquired them in February. One was sent back to the manufacturer and the second is in the process of being sent back. Not too happy with their durability.

The main point I was trying to get across is that everyone needs to think about what consequences could occur from their words or actions.I can see that there is no need for further words on this because you have already proved the point.

Sportzter1, remember the saying that a person needs to learn how to be a gracious loser? Well, there is also a saying that a person also needs to learn how to be a gracious winner and I believe that it's time to do so. Loretto is having a great year and I am proud for them. They have a team full of talent and they need to enjoy the limelight. However, good seasons come and go and we all need to remember that what goes around comes around. There will be not so great seasons for all teams, and people who make a point to gloat sometimes make those returns to a difficult season even more difficult when it happens. There will be those who will remember those actions and turn the table around on you. Then how will everyone feel? Remember the Golden Rule: Do Unto Others As You Would Have Them Do Unto You. I hope the Mustangs go to state, they deserve it. To the Lady Cats: Keep your chin up and your head high. You are all winners in your own way.

Hey Sportzter1 what's the deal? I realize that it seems you have a grudge concerning Lawrence County High School's name, but the students nor anyone else can help the fact that is what others decided to name the school many years ago. LCHS does carry students from all over the county and it does carry the largest student body of all the high schools and that's a fact. Despite what school you go to or support, don't badmouth anyone else's. We all are from the same county and we need to support all the high schools.

My daughter is looking for a travel team in the middle TN area. We are from Lawrence County. She has played 1st, 3rd and catcher and has pitched for several years. While Falon Catalano pitched a good game, a perfect game would have recorded 15 strikeouts through 5 innings. Her game was a no hitter, not a perfect game.

If you have never seen the professional ladies play please go and see them. My family went to see the WPSL play the Olympic gold team last year. It was awesome! There will be autograph opportunties after the game. Also this year there will be two softball camps sponsered by the WPSL at a cost of $25. Last year the camps were free and my girls had a blast. They were able to get autographs and pictures with the players. The biggest thrill was the chance to get pictures with the Olympic players and to wear their medals. The cost is very reasonable also. We had premium seats behind home plate and they were only $10 each. If you get the chance go!
