  1. Fellow are you for real....Trousdale...yes, Alcoa maybe but not bye that much....Livingston will not cross mid field on Lipsomb...have you see the size and speed of that defense.....35 - 0 stangs... Maryville no way....Oakridge...in a close one
  2. All I want to say is this....The good news for Alcoa is they brought back their whole starting team. The bad news for Alcoa is they brought back their whole starting team. Does anyone here really believe they have improved 50 points from last year? I did not think so. The Mustangs don't rebuild. They just reload. Just look at their record over the last 20 years. If I were Alcoa I would enjoy the trip to Nashville and feel good that my team has been to the sate semi's two straight years. Come down a day early and enjoy shopping at Opry Mills.
  3. Please tell me that you were joking? Lucky, uh huh, you got it. Only thing that could be seen as lucky in that game is that Lipscomb took out their starters in the fourth, or it would have been much worse. Why be smashmouth when you can throw 70 yard TD passes with no one within 10 yards of DL's "slow" receivers? You are telling me that Lipscomb ran around that great "team speed" of Alcoa. Wow , that must be some feat considering how much the forty times have been hyped for Warren and crew. (By the way, Rogers forty time wasnt made up, 4.41 at the LSU Nike Camp). This thread is now rivaling and has surpassed the great DL-Houston Co. thread of a year ago, keep it up.
  4. Today, we salute you Mr. Second String Wide Receiver..... Overcoming all odds, you have become the omniscient football prognosticator in the state of Tennesee.... You suffered through countless hours of practice at Greenbrier High School to reach this great status in your life.....while the rest of the Bobcats practiced, you studied film hard on every other team in the state especially Middle and East TN 2A teams.....this week alone you so willingy graced us with your vast knowledge about the Tornadoes and Mustangs.....how will we ever repay you....keep up the good work and Here's to you Justin Groves, Mr. Second String Wide Receiver...
  5. Just clearly shows how much better region 4-aa is than 3-aa. East Robertson the 4th place from 4AA beat the number 2 Polk county And Lipcomb is killing them 40 -12. Goodpasture the number 2 from that region routed the number 1 tyner. What a game next week. Lipscomb vs Goodpasture. The state championship will be decided at Lipscomb's field.
  6. And now back to the subject at hand please....Mustangs and Bees....The Bees must be decent they beat a Mount Juliet Team that led Pearl Cohn at one time. Springfield is big and athletic Mustangs are quick and well coached. Mustangs...35 Yellow Bees 7
  7. Where did this Easttnfootballexpert come from? Please stay on the Alcoa threads and off this one. I am really getting tired of this non-sense. Lipscomb has owned East Tennessee the last few years. They have de-railed your "Ram Train", They beat Alcoa like a drum. They won 27 games the last two seasons with One AA Championship, and a AA runer- up. That loss was to a fine Huntingdon team that caught the Mustangs on a rather bad night but were probably the best team that day. But that was then and this is now....These Mustangs are thinking revenge. They passed the only test they will have until the Blue Cross Bowl on Friday night by kicking the cougars. I just hope Huntingdon has a worthy team to bring to the Blue Cross Bowl. Now as for this weeks game well let me say it like this. They will go through Springfield like a green apple through a bowel. Some people thought this team would go down with the departure of a couple of assistant coaches....How wrong they were.....The Mustangs have tradition....and an ole coach by the name of McCaddams....enough said. They have been winning for 20 years....no reason to stop now...."Can you hear the stampede coming?"
  8. Just as I predicted....this one was no contest. If Wilkerson does not fumble this one gets ugly late. Lipscomb goes prevent and gives up a token touchdown. I dont think there is anyone in te east who can play with the Mustangs. I hope Huntingdon is getting scared....cause revenge will sweet.......
  9. What? I simply meant that this years Mustangs are good enough to win anywhere any time. Not trying to be smart or anything. Just a football knowit all.
  10. Well I totally disagree. This game would not be even if played on Mars. No way Goodpasture has the weapons to hang with the Mustangs under any conditions this year. But of course I can see from your golf ball that you are really knowledgable about the game. Did you gain this insight from Playstation? p.s. What do the comments about Easttnfootballexpert mean? I am confused. Is he a lipscomb player?
  11. Yes pressure on the quarterback is the key to both defenses. Goodpasture will be determined to go after Elrod hard. I am sure they watched Greenbriar film and film from the Huntingdon game and know the Mustang offense starts there. The Cougars will look to strike with the big play to Turner or draws or reverses. p.s this Eddie Van Halan guy sounds bitter about something. Did he want the head job at Goodpasture and not get it or something. I guess both schools are glad he is not associated with them.
  12. I am figuring the cougars will go from the gun so they can get the ball to Turner. The mustangs have to put the ball in Rogers hand 20 times a game to have a chance. Look for both teams to pull out all tricks. As I said last night I believe the Mustangs just have too many weapons this year.
  13. Let's get back to the subject at hand. Cougars at Mustangs....it don't get any better....
  14. Well that is a brilliant statement when you consider that the state championship for about 7 of the last 10 years or so has been decided between Lipscomb and Goodpasture. Every now and then one of the West TN teams will get loaded up for a win. Let's see Huntingdon....Once in the history of the school. Now that is a powerful tradition. I bet Lipcomb and Goodpasture have combined for over 300 wins the last 15 years. Now you do the math. Ok I will do it for you. An average of 10 wins per season. Heck 2 years ago Mitchell was the best the west had to offer and Lipscomb went through them like Ivan will Florida. Now to the matter at hand. Lipcomb has too many weapons for the Cougars this year. Yes Goodpasture has the great one and a tremendous coaching staff, but Lipscomb has Elrod, Rogers, Wilkerson, Hillan, Ross, Ellrod 2, and the list goes on and on. This game will not have nearly the luster as last year. Take nothing away from the Cougars but they just don't have the size nor the speed to hang with this bunch of Mustangs. The Cougars are in a rebuilding stage and will be back. In fact they will dominate the new AA region and state next year when they can finally get away from Lipscomb. In fact this game will remind the fans of the playoff game two years ago. Lipscomb in a romp. 35-7. Trust me here. I did not get the name knowitall for no reason. P.S. 2 A guru.....I was at the game and the crowd was at least 10,000
