Senior '89 season

If you call playing Alcoa and Cookeville running & hiding then maybe some of that so called "SHARP IRON" got stuck in your head.

I think SC/TC will start again next year. All involved including fans, players, and coaches want it to happen.

Tough game for the Owls Friday night. Angel and the Johnson kids will be a big challenge to contain. We must be sharp, tackle well, and take advantage of the opportunities giving to us.

This SC team is light years better than last year.

I think the Owls take this one. Unlike last year we have a pretty good passing game to go with the running game. Gville will have a difficult time defending it.

I agree. I can't watch NFL anymore without throwing the remote because a QB or receiver got touched too hard. So I just don't watch it. The NFL we all love is dead. College is on its way and high school will follow shortly. Sad.

I think there is some misunderstanding because I have no clue what your trying to say. I wasn't comparing teams to Alcoa. I never said anything about effort. I never said anything about giving up. I wasn't picking on you.

Yes I have heard. Yes I was at the game. Yes I know how good they are. But as a program do we just throw our hands in the air and say, well they just have better athletes? The mistakes we made are all OK because they are bigger, stronger, faster? Is that what champions do? Do we not strive to be the best by playing the best and working on how to get our program to that level? Please don't compare this team with mine. We only had 2 coaches that knew anything about football and ZERO talent, speed, or game experience. This team has a chance to be pretty good and that's says alot coming from me.

Defense has got to improve. Must get more physical and tackling was very sub par to put it nicely.
