Congrats to Franklin for making it to the Championship. Statistically, you'd have to think that Franklin wouldn't have much of a chance in this one. Riverdale's high-octane offense and stiffling D seem to be unmatchable. Having scrimmaged Riverdale in the preseason...it's seriously like playing 11 on 15 against them. Their team speed is that incredible. However, I really don't think you can count Franklin out completely in this one. Franklin's determination as of late has been pretty tremendous. Franklin has the ability to put up points when they have to if they utilize all their weapons. And their defense is gunna have to try and prevent the big play. I don't think Franklin is gunna win necessarily, but, to phrase Lee Corso, it'll be "closer than the experts think." I'm takin Riverdale 42-38 over the Rebels in a shootout.

I'm not tryin to start talkin mess about Franklin just cause we lost....that's a waste of time and effort on my part...what's done is done. It just makes me mad when this kid who never steps on the field runs his mouth and tarnishes a rivalry that's had so much tradition and class throughout the years. Despite what's said...I'm still pulling for the Rebels to take it to the Boro. Also wondering if there's any news on Dawson Bryant. Will he be able to go on Friday night? Region4Fan...that was a definitely blow to my psyche, but in the spirit of Thanksgiving we'll just let it go.

Hey FHSReb12....by "we" do you mean the guys that actually play? I'll have to admit...Hotard and Leach played big on D and Mikrut and Waters definitely broke off some nice runs...but I have to say that my MVP award goes to you...for having 2 of the finest field goal snaps I've ever seen on a high school field. And you definitely receive bonus points from me for not blowing the game for your team with your ###### poor extra point blocking. Yea...close that mouth, Kick Team All-Star.

First of all, Congradulations to Franklin on making it to the semis. As much as it pains me to lose the final game of my football career to Franklin...I gotta pull for the Williamson Co. team to make it to State. Although I don't know a whole lot about Germantown, I think that Franklin has a good chance to come out with a win Friday night. Their defense has played solidly the past couple weeks, giving up only 21 points in the playoffs. The Rebels D seems to be playing impassioned football as of late and that ought to be the deciding factor this weekend. The offense, however, has to pick it up though if they're gunna have any chance of moving on. Only 2 passes in 47 offensive plays? They'll struggle to beat the Devils with that lack of offensive balance. Personally, I think Franklin has some guys with some serious big play potential. If it were my team, I'd pull somethin crazy outta my butt like that Notre Dame Box or whatever it's called. I think it'd be wise for the Rebels to get guys like Titus Hardemon, Shannon Derricks, and John Hewitt more involved in the game plan. The opportunity to throw screens was there all night against Brentwood, and after lulling the defense to sleep with the run, the passing game ought to open up as well. Hope Dawson Bryant is doing well and is able to play this weekend. I'd hate to see him have to sit out what could be his last game. I'd also like to thank Mr. Plummer for taking the time to come talk to me on Friday night. I much appreciate the gesture and won't forget it. I hope Brooks can make a speed recovery.

DeeVon....are you serious? You seriously came on this thread to talk noise about the Camden Lions? I've never even heard of Camden...and I'm guessin that's cause I don't give a crap about 2A football. You're 2A All-Stars couldn't even come close to steppin up to a 5A team...especially not Brentwood of Franklin...let alone Riverdale or Dobyns-Bennett. I'm glad your such a passionate supporter of the Camden Lions...even if they do win the State Championship in 2A this year...I'll continue to not care. This aside...at this point in the season in a game of this magnitude I think it's pretty safe to say that you can throw all the game statistics, previous scores, and personnel out the window. Both teams are gunna come out well prepared to play and eager to get a win and head to Memphis for Thanksgiving.

Seth...I couldn't have belittled FHSreb12 any better myself. I'm proud of ya, buddy. Franklin did bring a pretty stellar blitz. And BDD, they did bring the ends...just not very frequently. I honestly think the factor was that the Brentwood O-line. We focused pretty intently on fixing the flaws in our pass protection and I feel like we did a solid job picking up with Franklin blitz. I gotta say, though, I think Franklin is gunna have to come up with something a little better to stop the Ravenwood passing attack. T.C. is a better passer than I've seen in a long time. Franklin is gunna have to figure out how to bring enough pressure while also suring up the secondary. Franklin oughta come out pretty fire up Thursday night so it'll be one to watch. And yea...FHSreb12...looks like you got completely punked out. I'm sure it's degrading enough to know that you were only in for the defining play of the game were you played a crucial role in your teams failure, so I don't wanna add to that. But you do stink...bad. And you need to know that. You should seriously consider retiring from talking mess on here, because your weak cuts just leave you more vulnerable to kids like me. Again, good game to all the Franklin player...except you FHSreb12.........scrub.

This would be pretty solid advice had it not been for the fact that Welch came straight up the middle and blocked the kick. I'd consider watching the game before hand next time, coach. It was a great game, though. One to go down in history as one of the best, in my opinion, if Franklin-Brentwood history. You've got to give a lot of credit to both teams for playing balls-out all 4 quarters. Just wanna wish a speedy recovery to #43 (Brooks Plummer I think?). Hope everything works out for him.

What's everyone's new outlook on Region 6-5A? Brentwood and Centennial both lost big region games last night, it seems like Franklin is the team to beat in the region now.

Well you can take it up with him. I only got onto FHSreb12 because he was running his mouth about a game he wasn't even playing in. I have a lot of respect for the Franklin team, even if they don't have it for us. So like I said, no predictions about the outcome, just that it oughta be an exciting game.

No matter what's happened to our team the past two games, we'll be ready to play Franklin. If you can't get up to play a game of this calibur, then you're really not meant to play the game. I'm not gunna make any predictions about the score, seeing as how I kinda had to eat some crow concerning my predictions against Ravenwood. But I think, like always, it'll be an exciting game.

You thought I'd like what? The fact that you said A-S-S in your post? You're right. I am impressed. In any case...I guess you're right. The Messiah...I mean T.C. Jennings...will probly have a huge game since we've given up so many yards on defense. And Daniel Becker is like a down-sized, white Ray Lewis in the middle. Actually, Becker and Jennings are real solid players and I'm sure they will have a good game...but they won't win. And our line couldn't stop a girl? I don't know what kinda swollen butch chicks you have at Franklin, but I'm pretty sure we can hold our own against the girls around here. Just so you know...Centennial would have had the advantage in the "hurricane" since they run the ball 90% of the time and we run screens and pass the ball considerably more. And I really don't care if you respect us or not...you'll still get beat. I really don't understand why you've decided to talk crap for Ravenwood...seeing as how you obviously don't go there. But hey, dude, if you get your jollies off making weak posts to belittle Brentwood...more power to ya.

FHSreb12...I just wanted to congradulate you for successfully making a total ###### out of yourself. Yea, I guess Thomas probly should pick up ballet since he's not still a D-1 prospect anymore. Wait...wasn't Tom getting recruited to most likely play tight end in college? I guess he was, wasn't he? And I think you should know...everyone knows Dinger's slow, man. He seems to be fast enough to get open on just about everyone, though. But it does make sense that he has great hands cause he's slow...cause speed has a lot to do with coordination. Not to mention the fact that you haven't been able to stop Dinger the past three years, so you have that to feel good about. And when we play you guys this week...hold on...we're playin Ravenwood this week. So how about you save your ###### poor attempts at talking game on the internet for next week. By the way...overrated meaning we beat Centennail who was picked to win the region and only losing to Smyrna who's ranked above us in the mid-state? Wouldn't that make us the underdog in both games? I gues BHS120 is right...our fans don't get up too much for football or basketball, which is guess is kinda of a moticating factor in and of itself. Usually we just get pumped for the girls soccer games and volleyball. My vote goes to the Centennial fans. I hate them, but they get it done. Without question the most obnoxious fans in the state. And Franklin?? The "Franktown Breakdown"? Are you serious?

Just like siegel and Blackman, Brentwood and Ravenwood is gunna develop into a big time rivalry in the mid-state. Especially once Ravenwood develops all the talent they're gunna be getting over there. But for now...Franklin vs. Brentwood is still the biggest game of the year for both teams and manages to draw a big crowd from across the county. And someone said something about Miegs Co. and Brentwood....I don't think I was alive the last time Miegs Co. played Brentwood. I don't even know where Miegs Co. is.
