So what did Ooltewah do on Stump on Sports to make Hawkseye call them "hoodville" Please explain?

Does anyone know Ooltewah's scrimmage schedule. Do they have any scrimmages this week or weekend? does anyone know where any scrimmages are this weekend? Please comment.

No, Brady is not my son, but i am an aquintance of his family. No doubt that he will have to work hard and beat out who they have their, It is just my opinion that he will be the best of what they have. Competition is a great thing to have at Ooltewah. There is alot of schools that wish they had the problem Ooltewah has at the QB position.

size does have something to do with it, how many people are marshall's size and can run like him. Not many! If he didnt have sub 4.4 speed, do you think he would be the running back. He just doesnt take alot of hits cause of his speed. And Brady Reed will be the starting qb as long as his family finds a house this summer.

The QB situation at Ooltewah should be solved with sophmore transfer Brady Reed transfering from Baylor. Also Goose Manning is a decent football player with a lot of heart and desire, but no where ready to make an impact at Ooltewah as a freshman. He wont make an impact till his junior or senior season....too small.

Heard a rumor that rising sophomore Brady Reed, which was the backup qb for Baylor last year, is transferring to Ooltewah. If so, this would nail down the qb spot for the next three years at Ooltewah. He is also a top notch catcher and power hitter in Baseball. Does any of you Ooltewah fans have any inside info on this?

See, thats tennessee's problem, they think they have to go all over the country to get running backs or skill position players. What makes a RB in california better than gulmire, because some stupid recruiting guru says that he is a 5 ***** RB and is a all-american. give me a break! Look at Kenneth Darby at Alabama. He is 5'10 190 pounds and was rated a 2** coming out of high school and is probably the best back in the SEC. Thats my point, Gulmire is a football player, maybe not a RB in college but could definatly help at UT.

I cant beleive he is not being recruited by sec level schools. He is a stud! He runs the ball so hard. The way things are going up in Knoxville, you would think the vols would be all over this kid....Oh wait, he is not a 5***** Prospect from california or florida so i guess he is not good enough. That is the problem at UT is that they do not have enough kids who play with heart and determination and want to play for UT.

what does it matter who plays on the jv team, usually its freshman and sophmores with some juniors who dont see varsity action. the bottom line is that central is VERY young and will take some growing pains this season, but anytime you beat a 5A school, its somthing to build on. Oh and all you bradley fans, good luck on winning any games this year, especially if you cant beat warren co. bradley is a complete joke, not being able to beat a team like warren co, with the number of students bradley has. This may be the only game central wins all year, i dont think so, but they do have a lot of young talent and i think they will get better as the year goes on.

you need to go back to your nest! Why even make comments like that on this thread. You need to worry about Ooltewah. Yes, the owls do have a very good team, probably the best in the city, but dont slip up or you will catch serious heck from everybody. Just remember, you havent won the state yet, the road still goes through Riverdale. At least Central has the guts to play a DII team like Baylor. Central more than likely will get manhandled in this game, Central is very young, but you need to not downplay them like you are, and they are not the worst team in the city by a long shot!

In my personal opinion, I think B.J. Coleman out of McCallie is not only the best Junior qb in the state, but may be the best overall in the state. He is only a junior and looks like he could play college ball right now. He looks about 6'3 195 lbs and can run when he has to. He has some of the best mechanics ive seen out of a young qb. Look for him to put up some great numbers this season. I think he will be a sure fire D1 prospect next year, if he doesnt sign or get drafted in baseball. What does everyone else think?

If meadows is on the team, thats great, they need him. I think he has the talent to be a top 10 player in the state. I know that several d1 schools were showing a lot of interest in him between his soph and junior seasons. I think if he does well this year, he could sign, maybe not d1 but somewhere.

no, I have not played against Brent Hayes, theres a little bit of an age difference, but ive watched him play the last three years. theres a lot of people that can say they played HS football, its not that big of a deal, what, were you the kicker?

I think Central is scrimmaging Lookout valley, not sure, thats just what i heard. As for BenHasRisen, everybody knows he is a jerk, and probably never played football. He always post negative things about Central. Hayes was one heck of a player, you got to remember he came back from a very bad knee injury, that does hinder your speed somewhat. One thing Hayes can say that BenHasRisen cannot say is that hayes is playing college ball and BHR is wishing he was.

Yes, Gaston has transfered to Ooltewah, he will play this fall and graduate in december, and enroll in South Carolina in January

saw central practice today, they have some talent, but not enough quality numbers. Hopefully they can build that this year with young players. One player that i thought would make a big impact this year for central was Lorenzo Meadows. Is he still on the team? I know he broke his ankle early in the year last year and was on tract to have a great season. I remember his soph. season when he was absolutly a stud. I think he has the talent to play big time college ball. so, i was just wondering if anybody had any info on him. As with how the pounders will do, they will have a tough year due to their schdedule. dont be surprised if they knock somebody off that they are not suppose to!
