  1. Would not be that confident BBZ! Sure do wish the pounders played Ooltewah this year!
  2. What makes you think EH coaching staff is that much better than Centrals. When Gatewood was at Ooltewah, he was winning with mostly Central kids anyways. Central is now starting to keep those kids and mix in talent from other areas that gives them as much talent as the Ooltewahs and EH's. I have seen Ooltewah and SM play, Central even scrimmaged Signal back in the spring and Central more than held there own, some say even outplayed them in the scrimmage. So yes Central does have your so called track stars and Centrals D will dominate EH. I think you will come away from that game immpressed with what you see.
  3. Central's D too good for EH. Central has as much or more speed than both SM and Ooltewah so you cant say that. EH line will be no match for Centrals Def line. Central may have 6-7 sacks in this game. Central 34 EH 13
  4. First game at the Hurricanes new field. I thnk Central dominates EH on Defense and has enough Offense to win by at least 2 tds.
  5. Neither SC or WV did much against Centrals D. Central looks to be very improved on offense this year too.
  6. Has anyone heard any rumors about Chattanooga Central hiring Rusty Blackmon as a new assistant wrestling coach? If so, that would be a great pick up to go along with Joey Knox and Josh Edmonson. Coach Price seems to be doing a smart thing and surrounding the program with good assistant coaches.
  7. I promise you that Coach Bloodsaw from Brown Middle School is definatly not the answer!
  8. John Allen will be named new head coach at Chattanooga Central any day now. He was suppose to be named yesterday, but they are awaiting approval from the school board and making sure all his credentials are in order. What do you guys think, good hire or bad hire? I think he will be able to take the athletes they have at Chattanooga Central and do good things there.
  9. How can you guys leave THE C out of this conversation?
  10. Excuse me, I didnt know this was English class. Do they even teach English at The C anymore? Please answer 411's request why the C has not even attempted to wrestle any of the top 5 schools in Chattanooga or attend any of the big boy tournaments. We will for sure give the C credit when they step up to the plate and wrestle and win a match that counts for something instead of competing at the C invite against such teams like Tyner, Silverdale, Arab, Davey Crockett, Chattanooga Christian, Howard, Sale Creek, and so on.
  11. I think 411 is dead on with this post. I think the head man at the C knows this is the real facts. Sounds like we have a 411 vs Scott mike tussle on our hands.
  12. I agree with all of this also RussianBear. The C does have 2 great assistant coaches and there wrestlers have made a commitment to a year around program also. I agreee with your statement about successful wrestlers do get snatched up by the privates, but not all. A great youth program can bring great excitement and keep light on the program from the ground up.
  13. Its due to a solid youth program and YouthCoach16 over the last several years. Mr. Youthcoach16 has several wrestlers that he coached growing up on the squad. Too bad that youth program is no longer in existance and YouthCoach16 has moved on to another program in town. Ive heard that the current staff at the C doesnt think a solid youth program has anything to due with how good their program will be in the future. I can tell you now, solid youth programs are where solid high school teams are formed. That is why your Baylors, McCallie, Bradley's, Cleveland's and Soddy's will produce more state champions and championship teams over the next several years.
  14. The texter in question has ties to Heritage High School in GA.
  15. I dont think BCB will be surprised who it is.
  16. Hey BCB, I do believe that number belongs to your friend from Red Bank, Hixson, and now Heritage. I think you and everyone else knows who it is. I cant believe the things he said in his text messages to you.
  17. You dont need to go to the Bradley/Cleveland match, The C is not accustomed to that level of wrestling. Thought you were going to the nest on Friday? Oh wait, the prestigous C invitational was this weekend, my bad!
  18. We dig your aggressiveness on your post, but dont quite understand your thoughts behind them. You do make the board more interesting. Just explain why you think The C is so dominating. What wrestlers do they have that could start on say a Bradley, Soddy, or even a Ooltewah?
  19. Who is your stud son and what weight is he at that you speak of. Im sure if he is that good, Coach Bray would have him in his rankings along with Coaches Hamm/Boskens ranking. Oh wait, you have to wrestle quality tournaments and individuals to get consideration for rankings, which The C has not done or will not do. Sounds to me Coach Price likes padding his record on lower level teams and tournaments and will not schedule the big boy matches. I would love to see The C wrestle some big time matches to gage what kind of squad they really have.
  20. Although The C may end up winning the A/AA Dual State, I dont think they are the unanimous favorite. There are a lot of variables that go into a dual match...mathups and so on. Stay humble my friend until The C brings home the gold trophy...I think BCB may be willing to take a few side bets on that happening also.
  21. Hey Mikey baby, My prediction...Ooltewah 48 The C 24 103 The C Forf. over Oolt 6-0 112 Oolt pin The C 6-6 119 The C Forf over Oolt 12-6 125 oolt dec. over The C 12-9 130 Oolt dec over The C 12-12 135 Oolt dec over The C 12-15 140 Oolt Pin over The C 12-21 145 Oolt Pin over The C 12-27 152 Oolt Pin over The C 12-33 160 The C Pin over Oolt 18-33 171 Oolt Pin over The C 18-39 189 Oolt dec over The C 18-42 215 The C Pin over Oolt 24-42 Rudwall bumps to Heavy 285 Oolt Pin over The C 24-48 Not quite ready to wrestle with the big dogs yet The C. although the team is much improved and should do well in the small school duals. Your win over Hixson is not all that impressive this year considering Hixson lost several Srs. EFT will give The Mighty C a run for their money, especially 112-160, could get interesting if EFT's Heavy boys decide to play that night. Look forward to trying to pick you and your son out in the crowd over at the Nest Friday Night. Also, can you tell me the legit teams The C has wrestled this year in the prestigous tournys you guys have wrestled in...The C invite, The lookout Valley invite, The Knox Catholic Tourny (Very down this year), Vandergriff Duals, Alcoa Duals? When is Coach Price gonna step up his game and start competing in the big boy tournaments...The Bradley, The Soddy, The McCallie, The old Timers Duals, The Brentwood and so on. Time to stop wrestling the jv tournaments and start wrestling big boy tournaments if The C wants to get on the wrestling map.
  22. Boone was up 10-4 before getting caught in a cradle. The Hall/Hames match if I remember correctly was within a few points and Hames got caught in a cradle also.
  23. Look for Austin Robinson 112 and Chase White 135 from Notre Dame to make a run in their respective weight classes.
  24. Grayson Mullin, 130 Notre Dame Chase White, 135 Notre Dame Austin Robinson, 112 Notre Dame also went undefeated for the day.
