I agree, has Ensworth already cut in to the Big Red fan base. With the Irish playing MBA close and our Freshmen beating the mighty Big Red we may be seeing a changing of the gaurd in this once great rivalry. Whats up with the thug comments? I was at the game and saw no such play. It seems that any time that Ryan has a team that can compete with or beat MBA they accuse us of being "thugs". Don't accuse an aggressive and entheuastic Ryan team of being thugs, you must be to young to truely understand the rivalry. These are the only acusations of this behavior that I have heard all year. Coach Lussier has our boys heading in the right dirrection. The future is bright! GO IRISH!

Hey pal, why don't you let us enjoy our big win! Stay on your own teams threads and keep your predictiions to your self. It takes quite the genious to get on here and say that Ryan will loose to BA, and MBA (what a bold prognosticator you are).I believe the odds are kind of in your favor on those predictions. What every one is saying is that if we can play like we did on Friday night, we can beat any one that we play, and from what I personaly whitnessed that is the truth. That game agianst Franklin shows that we have the tallent to compete, it is just a matter of getting it out of our boys on every Friday night. I don't know what you think you know about Father Ryan but our recent history has nothing to do with our overall history and we now have the right leadership to go along with our alumni support. We will enjoy our wins with or without the approval of condescending idiots like you. Enjoy your oun teams wins and keep your nose out of ours.

Guys, I hope that it hurts. It needs to. I thought that you boys had it together . So myself and all the guys from '91- '2002 get together and watch the game. What an embarassment! Could have sworne that a football game lasted four quorters. We hold it togehter for a half. Whohoo, the last that i heard it takes 4 quarters to win a football game!( at least that's what it took when I played).What a JOKE! Great first half guys, but you have to finish. Davis , Arron, Ernie, and the rest I love you all , but what happened? That was JPII. I hope that you are imbarassed, that means that you actually cared as much as I did. heck, I didn't loose to MBA either ,so I guess that we don"t have that much in common anyway. That was the easiest game on our schedule and hope fully we are better than that. For all of you that played in this game, That was not FATHER RYAN FOOTBALL! It was a sham! Father Ryan Football is play hard untl the last whistel, play clean, and whip your Rivals Butt. You guys did none or the above. What happened? If you are mad or ticked off, there are tons of us alumni that will take you at any time. Quit embarassing us!!! What is it going to take to let you guys know that you are representing more than yourselves! There is a long tradition that has come before you, please respect it.

I've seen alot of players names thrown around, and don't get me wrong these guy are as solid as any, but the guys that are going to win this game for the Irish are Simmons, Owusu, JB, Schmitty, and Gentry. Our D line is our strength and if these gyus play like thier capible of it may be lights out, they can be dominant. Our front line and linebackers can be as good as any in the state if they can put four quarters together and avoid the costly mistakes. I just think that our size and depth will play a factor in the fourth quarter. Another player to watch is Berry, the kid is explosive and can take it to the house in the blink of an eye. Can be a Golden type of player but he is still young. Still can't predict a score, we are going to have to learn how to win before we can start predicting victories. Good luck and Go Irish!

I hope to see the Irish win. JPII is going to be a big play team, they will probably try to break something early trying to get our boys to hang thier heads. Our strength is our defense, so we should be able to slow them down. If we can stay in it until the 4th quarter our depth should help us pull it out. It sounds like JP has several offensive weapons but we have a few of our own and should be able to match up well. This game will be a slober knocker and I don't think that either team is going to lay down, the winner will have definately earned it. I know that these Ryan boys have been looking forward to this one for a long time and I believe that our program is back to where we can win this type of game. Coach Lussier has brought these boys a long way in a short time and I hope it starts translating into W's on friday night. The entire community is ready to get back to those days.

Ryan Boys, no football game has ever been won by tossing useless insults across a message board. The fact is that coach Lussier has you guys organized and focused on the task at hand, which is tourning our football program around. Lets not get on here and give JPII anything els to put on thier bullitan board. Beat them on the field and then we can talk, because right now the series record is 0 - 0. Guys go out and have another strong 2 1/2 weeks of prantice and show JPII fan how far the "THUG" Irish have come. JPII fan your broad statement about your feelings for the Father Ryan family are a bit rediculous considering that less than 1% of the Irish fans communicate on this board. Ryan Wrestling is partilly correct. Coach Five will be our new coach, but his assistants are still to be determined. Though Pittman and Moore have aggreed to be on his staff, it still has to be approved by the board of trust. He has an all- star staff comitted to him but the board has to approve them. Current players, rest assured that coach Fiveash will be your football coach, and you will thrive because of it(no matter who his assistants are). Father Ryan football is embarking on a verry exciting time and you upcoming seniors have the opprotunity to lay the foundation for a great run of Irish football. Coach Fiveash is 2 - 0 va MBA, he knows what it takes to motivate the Father Ryan athlete, and he will bring the PRIDE back to our program that has been missing in his absence. I can't wait to hear about his first meeting with you guys, you will know with in the first few muinets that you are blessed to be playing for this man. I remember our inital meeting with him(12 years ago) like it was yesterday. Every one walked out of that dining hall knowing that something special was ahead of us. ROLL PRIDE! IT's up to you guys now, there are no excuses!!!

Robert Derrick can light it up for Harpeth ween he is on. The kid is an outstanding ball blayer and will be the leader for the Indians this year.

Pride30, although coach headcoach did the offense in practice and in games, Danny was the brains behind it. Danny came up with the plays and and ole tape his wrist and ankles would take all the glory in practice. Father Ryan will not let Danny get away, but the only way that he will be the head coach this go arround will be if the top dogs bow out. He is a great coach and an even better person, but the timing isn't right. We need a major change and promoting a current assistant just won't do it. Coach Fivash will have the program turned arround and headed on the right track with in 24 hours of accepting the job. He will demand respect and things that you players are used to doing will change. He will challenge you guys in ways that you have never been challenged before and the ones that step up will be the ones that he will go to battle with. Take this time off to get ready because after he is named coach you guys will be in culture shock for a while. Anyway, it's going to be at least 3 to 4 weeks before an announcement is made.

I would love to see Fiveash get the job, and from what I've been told he is the #1 choice. But if there is a mystery canidate I would have to say that is David Pack, he has spoken about the Ryan job on several ocasions and he knows how strong the parochial feeder system is. If we can pay coach Fiveash then we can pay Pack, they both will come with high price tags. I still favor Fiveash, I think that these kids would benifit from him and the staff that he will bring, theye will be an all star cast. Pride30, there will have to be alot of strings pulled to get Pittman back. He would love to come back but I don't think that the board of trust will allow it. Don't worry coach Five will be bringing plenty of quality assistants. You boys will be truely blessed to have him, I was.

CBG, Fiveash needs be back in that purple sweat jacket roaming the sidelines. These current players will be truely blessed if it all comes together. Pride30, coach Fiveash left for the same reasons that are still plaguing FRHS football, no support from the administration. If they would have left him alone and let him do his thing, we would not be in this current state. He is a master motivator and a disciplinarian, but more than that he is a great guy who truely cares for his players. Best of all he is 2 - 0 agianst MBA. He does NOT run the wing t, so lets not get that started. He will run an offense that is suitable to his tallent. In his first year at Ryan he had Michael Carlitello so he ran a power running/ play action passing offense, in his second year he through the ball mostly. He is a great coach so whatever he would run would be successful. With the tallent coming up at Ryan, he could run whatever he wants.They are his kind of players.

Wow, this thing got interesting over the weekend. First of all JP2 fan, the only significant parochial league football blayer that Ryan has not landed in the last 4 years is Golden Tate. He was never going to Ryan anyway. They loured him away from MBA. The only kids that we are not getting are the St. Jeo kids, and believe me this is not the problem with FRHS football. We have more kids out for football now than we had before JP2 existed. Ryan does not hate JP2 nor are they told to hate JP2, I know many students, faculty, and coaches at JP2 and they are all class people. We look forward to a good, clean football rivalry with you guys, to go along with the other sports. There has to be many changes made, whoever gets the head coaching job at Ryan. The administration and board of dirrectors just do not do things right. The new coach must be able to hire his own coaching staff, and must have full controll af the program. Robert did not have this luxery. Sure he hired a few coaches, but they were not all his first choice. He interviewed many good coaches who wanted to come to Ryan, but Jack Langton would not come off the money to pay them. He would offer them abbout $28,000 and they would laugh at them. Coach Pitman will never be the head coach at FRHS. I personaly love the man and think that he is one of the best coaches in the history of Ryan, I would love to see him get the job because I know how these current players would respond to him. We have the players they just need the right guidance and motivation. But somehow he managed to rub many of the shotcallers at Ryan the wrong way, and until these people get off of the boards his future at Ryan is dim. My prediction is that Ryan will make a huge football hire before Christmas. It's really going to make the rest of DII take notice. All of the vibs that I am getting from the folks in charge is that they are finally ready to start doing things the right way, and will be competing for "Super 7" titles for years to come.
