That has to be the corniest thing someone has the audacity to say on these boards. Regardless of the outcome it's gonna be a darn good game but i have to say Houston will come out on top.. I really wish someone on this darn site would give Houston a lil credit.. being 11-2 (and yes i'm moving ahead past their victory over Germantown) is darn good... suckas

I also think this game will be lowscoring because of the two great defenses these teams bring with them. However, I believe that Houston will come away with a victory. But either way it should be what high school football is all about.. friday night.. playoffs.. two rivals.. it's gonna be a great night

Houston has beaten both whitehaven and kirby for each of their homecomings. I don't get why teams pick talented teams for homecoming, especially when they had the time to schedule lesser opponents

I don't know if anyone will agree with me or not, but I think it is ridiculous for a team to go 2-8 and still make the playoffs. I think they should take the best 8 teams out of the 2 regions and have 1's play 8's and 2's play 7's and so on. Am I outta my mind here or is there someone out there thinking the same thing?

Houston High -- Patrick Jordan goes to Southern Illinois, playin behind a senior who was all american last year. Plays special teams and in certain packages.

Why do you automatically think that i'm bitter?-- Ask yourself this... Can you honestly say that u have agreed with every ranking the Commercial Appeal has put out in the past few years?

Enough with the Commercial Appeal nonsense.. Who are your favorite teams in the area? Not just the school you attend but i mean which teams that you have seen have a real chance at going somewhere this year?

Naw see that's what we call confidence. Germantown are the cocky ones-- but what i have yet to figure out is what do they feel they need to be cocky about? jackass

Houston's Defense isn't any good?-- They have the best in the region-- Bolton was averaging 330 Rushing offense.. How much did Houston give up? 55.. Germantown had 25 yards total offense in the second half of their game. . They have given up the least amount of points in 8-5A--68 (That's 11.3 points per game) That's more than I can say for every other defense in 8-5A... What you need to worry about is when Houston's offense finally starts rolling on all cylinders. With a defense like they have, and a well oiled offense runnin.. they will be a force to be reckoned with...

I have to agree with the two fellows who seem to favor Houston. If Houston continues to open it up just as they did in their win over Germantown, this game should not be pretty for Collierville. Someone explain this: When Houston beats Collierville does that mean there's a three way tie between White Station (whom Collierville beat), Collierville (just beaten by Houston), and Houston (who lost to White Station earlier this season because of a weak first half)? What's that mean for 8-5A?
