  1. What happened here? The program hasn't even played its first game? Is there more to this story?
  2. Now that the playoffs are nearing and the regular season ending. What are some of the possible baseball jobs that are going to come open?
  3. This may help but it is not necessarily the case. Summer baseball goes on just about everyway and a lot of kids play but that doesn't make teams state champs every year. When is spring practice schedule for most schools in this region?
  4. What are the current standings and records up to this point? Records play a role in where teams are seeded for the district tourney.
  5. Thanks. I appreciate the help.
  6. Are there websites for message boards in NC where you are now? And what are some good website to find out about NC football?
  7. Coach Reeves is a standup guy. He works very hard and will do a good job there.
  8. Any new word on coaching jobs available? What job would be a good to apply for?
  9. What area was the that and what is the name of the school he was at?
  10. When the article comes out will a link be put out so that we can access the article?

    Job openings

I know that there is an opening in McNairy County (Adamsville job). Just curious what school in Mississippi were you at?

I am not saying it is ok to curse a child, but this isn't summer league ball that is being played. Summer leagues can be very useful but they are a coaches worst nightmare. In Summer leagues or youth leagues all children get to play some amount of time, plus they will sometimes get a trophy. However, high school sports aren't that way. The kids don't have to play, and they don't get an individual trophy. One of the big things is that nothing is said when a coach/team is winning. All of these arguments come out when the coach/team is losing.

Well I see that there are some interesting points on this. My thoughts on this are that there have been times when coaches cross the line and curse a kid. And there are numerous times when parents feel their child needs more playing time. I think that most of this all comes out when a program is not winning. I think that there are way to many arm chair coaches that try to add their two cents worth and they feel their child is the best athlete out there. From my experience it is the parents who didn't play that much when they played or they didn't play at all and they are trying to "relive" their childhood through their children. That is not fair to the child. Parents please "Let the coaches coach, the referees officiate, and the players play." Parents need to raise their children to be respectful, and polite.
  14. Now that the regular season is over and playoffs are beginning. Is there any Head Coach positions open. Any major retirements etc.
