  1. There are a few teams in their district that might have something for them. How about Anderson Co., Loudon, Etc?
  2. Please get over it, mom...I would suppose bball in your name stands for basketball. It will be basketball season for your son after this week. Loudon wins big at home...Please stop taking these message boards so seriously.
  3. Agreed, Free! I will go one better, though... From what I've seen in the past few games...1. Hawkins better ratchet it up a bit if d-1 is going to be a possibility, and 2. Campbell looks to be in better shape and he runs a little harder. Don't get me wrong, Hawkins is great...I just think Campbell has a special look when he runs. Hawk constantly looks tired. Great job last night Loudon. Kingston never had a chance.
  4. 1st half: Alcoa Varsity 50 Wartburg 0 2nd half: Alcoa JV 35 Wartburg 0 Not even fair.
  5. Polk Co...Number FIVE in 3a???? Interesting. Guess that's gonna change after tonight's whipping. So much for running Loudon over. Good luck with the rest of your season. We'll see what another 3a team has next week in Kingston. Number 5...that's funny.
  6. My gosh, Why don't you and newschoolredskin pour and tank of gasoline on the fire. Cool your jets a little. Let's learn how to handle a little success. Alcoa is, on paper and on film, the most talented team Loudon has played in years...and that's saying a lot with the schedules they've had over the past few years. If Loudon plays mistake free and their best, who knows what happens? If not, Alcoa will mash them. Listen, all the best to the Redskins. I hope the other posters on this site know there are some half way logical Loudon fans on here. Have a little humbleness guys...I guarantee Loudon will give Alcoa everything they've got. It will not be as easy as some think. As for the rest of this season-the skins are poised for a great run with or without a win this week.
  7. The coaching hasn't changed a bit, pal. They still work as hard as they always have. Funny how it's the sorry coaching when they lose, but the staff must have changed when they are winning. Nice back-handed complement though.
  8. Malone and all the other Farragut West people, How does that crow taste. Not only did you get beat...you got it handed to you. Loudon is really sound in all phases...LC has the worst quarterback I've seen since Moats...and that's horrible! Much luck against Central, Maryville, and the rest of your region. Your JV will get a lot of varsity minutes...that's a plus. Before you say Alcoa is going to kill Loudon...save your breath. Win or lose next week, Loudon is almost certainly in the playoffs. You Farragut west premadonnas may not win another game. In closing, we Loudon hillbilly rednecks will keep on being hicks, while you (as you called yourselves) Farragut west people keep having 300 lb linemen that can't block a soul. Much love!!
  9. Whether any of you like it or not, it is sooooo sad that this rivary is done. As ridiculous as this back and forth talk is-it will be a shame when it stops. It already has ended for every other sport but football. Mr. Sims has even told his coaches that there is to be no more scrimmages either. He is such a sad little man. Yes the kids and towns get mean...yes it seems a bit stupid at times...but tradition is not something that should be taken away by one man. Even if there is a difference in classification. If you disagree, you must not believe in tradition.
  10. Talk to your boy Mike Sims about continuing the rivalry. It's LC that has put an end to it.
  11. Wow! What a game this could be...Loudon's defense will give Cusick fits, however, LC's size will hurt Loudon. My prediction is that Hightower will not be much of a factor. The question is: How well can Loudon block LC? Loudon definately has an edge in the kicking game...This will be a classic game. After watching both teams play this year I have to take Loudon in a close one. I won't be surprised if that does not happen though. Good luck to both.
  12. I'm not sure what you said, but I hope you were saying that Loudon got the calls against them...This score would have been more like 30 or 40 something to 0 if Sweetwater does not get a few phantom calls in their favor.
  13. Outstanding!!! The only thing that would've made this better is if big Stanton was on the AE sidelines. Congrats Catholic!
  14. Final Score Loudon 19 Sweetwater 0.
  15. Confidence+Well Rested+Injury Free=Loudon over Sweetwater 34-13.
  16. Good game... until it started. Regardless of how bad Greenback looked, Loudon has shown that they are going to be a very tough team to beat this year. Loudon looked solid in all phases, except field goal kicking. Sweetwater has a bunch of kids coming to visit them next week that are hungry to forget the last three years. Congrats to the players and the coaches!
  17. Boy, you all sure are putting a lot of pressure on Hawkins...Let's not forget about his support. If the guys around him do their jobs, he will be amazing...If he is a one man show, he will not last three games. There are several outstanding athletes on that team. If the guys up front do anything this year, Loudon will be a tough team. One thing they have shown up to now is that they are not making bone-head mistakes...they don't look like a bunch of "I" guys, which plagued them so much last year. Yes, Josh is really good, but without his line helping, and without a decent passing attack, he will be average, or worse...hurt. Loudon has shown that they can pass a little this year, mainly with the improvement of Cody Fritz, and the emergence of both Cory Fritz and Ryan Queen at receiver. They have really been balanced, and look really promising for 2005. Sooo....final score...Loudon 34 Greeback 6
  18. It's interesting that you are pretty much ignored each time you make a post...I'll be interested to watch for your posts as Loudon goes through the season. I wonder if your attitude toward the coaching will change if Loudon is successful this year? I am not a coach, but do know that these guys work their tails off for those kids and the Loudon tradition...two of them even volunteer!!! It's easy to sit here on the net and criticize. With your extinsive knowledge of how Loudon's team is run, how is it that the coaches do not "seem to know how to run the team?" Could you give the public that does not know as much as you, some examples of how these coaches just aren't getting it done, or do you just like to complain? I have been to each scrimmage this year and have seen nothing but a well coached, veteran team that seems to be figuring out the way to win ballgames. Ask the Anderson Co. coaching staff how well coached Loudon is after the scrimmage last week. I know you are a fan, and want to support the Redskins, but support the team...the coaches...everything about the team. Don't be one of those ignorant fans who gets on here and embarasses themself and Loudon because they get on here and don't know what they are talking about.
  19. Hey Free, In your other thread you did not even have Rockwood in the hunt...now they're in the fight for second. Let's play a couple regular season games first, then we can see who has a chance. Also, you might ought to find out the teams in the classes and regions before doing your preseason predictions. Kingston is a 3a team. It's nice to see that there aren't a lot of Loudon kids on here trash talking. They look to have begun turning things around both on the field and with their their attitudes. I believe Anderson Co. will attest to that after Tuesday nt.
  20. The ending of this rivalry had to do with one person's ego overshadowing all of the tradition and hard fought games...AD Mike Sims. Money or not, he thinks he is bigger than any tradition, and I can not believe someone with the integrity of Superintendant Wayne Miller would let this happen. Football will continue for one more year, and the rest of the sports are never to play eachother again. Sims will not even allow a scrimmage between any LC and Loudon teams. How does this man still have a job?

    Loudon

I do agree, OldSchool. However, on the biggest play of the game, the two pt. conversion, we ran option (or what looked to be option). Hawkins carried you that far on sweep rt. and sweep left...why take the ball out of his hands on the biggest play of the game? Does Loudon have no ability to throw the ball on first or second down? We never do anything to take advantage of the coverage that the opposing teams give us, and I think we have some decent play-makers at receiver. At least that is what I see at practice. I sure haven't seen them do anything but block in games. We'll see in the next two games.

    Loudon

Wow!! We finally have a post on this thread that has a statement and is backed up by a factual quote and info. Thanks a lot, Brokedown.

    Loudon

Has anyone said exactly which coaches were talking about next year's team? Also, if you think the coaching staff at Loudon is going to be fired you are mistaken. Unless the principal at Loudon says the coaches are gone, they will be back. From what I have seen and heard he is fine with how things are run. So, what all of you all are talking about and hearing is just wishful thinking from some uninformed folks. Also, I'd still like to know when the "next year" comment came up. Two Sr. Football players are family members to the coaches. I do not think anything was said. I know none of those coaches would say anything like that maliciously toward the Sr.'s.
  24. It is Casson Jackson from Central. He must have hyphenated his last name...Casson Jackson-Garrison.
