  1. Whoa we got a big head with a big mouth on our hands. Is it a fact that Connor had a better season??
  2. haha you're goofy. I need to learn what i am talking about huh?? Well I guess we are in the same boat because you still have no idea.
  3. So are you saying the average fan pays more attention to the offensive lineman than the coaches breaking down film?? That is hard to believe. I think you have to look at the playing time and success massengale had in years before as well as this year. Franklins O-lineman was what last year??? part time starter if that. My observation is that you think you know, but really you have no idea. I mean I will be honest, I did not pay close enough attention to the trenches to pick out the best lineman. And I doubt you did either. Thank goodness the coaches picked the all- region team.
  4. CHS has mabye what... three good players when franklin and brentwood enter every season with solid teams top to bottom. Ever since his soph. year he has been a contibuting factor for his team and has improved every year. No doubt nichols, krow, and others are good players but which one was most valuable to their team? Before these awards came out I would of bet alot of money that scales would be MVP, an offensive player from franklin would be offensive mvp and a player from brentwood would win deffensive MVP. Anyone with any sort of football intelligence would understand. So go back and continue kissing the feet of your 2009 rebels because ever since this season started you have sounded like an idiot.
  5. The key to this game will be franklins defense vs. h-villes wing -t Two years ago Franklin was the #1 seed, had one of the best defenses in the state and got all they want from the wing-t. This years defense is not up to par as previous years so running the wing-t is an advantage for h-ville. If franklin can keep the h-ville offense off the field they will be traveling to brentwood next week.
  6. Dont think its worth much. This game has important playoff implications, home field advantage on the table, as well as the streak at stake. This game is equally important to both teams. Franklin will not be over looking this game one bit!!
  7. "We can keep comparing stats and play this "who allowed what against whom?" game all day long. But when the players step on that field Friday night, there are no stats, there are no win-loss records, there are no win-streaks or loss-streaks. There are simply two teams going head-to-head, and that is the only possible time we can see which team takes the W. These points-allowed comparisions won't determine the outcome of the game. " Then why debate the game on a message board??
  8. I just dont see centennials defense making plays that count. Franklins offense is the best this defense will see and they are not that good. When two good teams go head to head the better defense is usually the winning factor.....I'll pick franklins defense in a landslide.
  9. Franklin wins, CHS defense is not good enough to win this game. Franklin has just as many playmakers as CHS. Should be a fun game to watch.
  10. Well my prediction was right....The key for brentwood to win this game was to throw a couple passes in there that put them in scoring position. Two big throws to gregory in the first half to put them inside the 20 and another late to #40 I think to put them inside the 20. Also the 2 turnovers helped as well. I thought this was a great game, both teams played hard but it was the team with less mistakes that won the game. Franklin will pick things up and head into the postseason on a positive note. Any given night anything came happen. This made things interesting and now looking forward to the playoffs.
  11. If you were a sports genius you should know that its spelled McCallie high school. haha The key to this game will be if brentwood can suprise the rebels with a few big passing plays to put them into scoring position. In last years game that seemed to be the deciding factor in the win. Records dont mean much here. Its like the SEC, if you dont come ready to play you will get beat. Friday will show which team is ready.
  12. I highly doubt he burned his franklin stuff. That would be hard to believe. Also you can thank Coach Jones for helping develop Graham into the quarterback he is this season. Its been 2 years of hard work Coach Jones and coach Clayton have put into Graham. And they have been an important part in Grahams success as a QB.
  13. Franklins never won at Indy in 2 games......WOW IMPRESSIVE!!!! that streak is not significant at this point.
  14. ooooo a streak of 2 wins against the rebels at Independence. Thats an impressive streak if you sit back and think about it. hmmm.....AMAZING!!! Coming into his thirds season as QB Graham Nichols finally understrands Coach claytons offensive systems and that has been the key for the offensive success thus far. Ever since coach clayton got to Franklin he has yet have a QB fully understand the concepts he has, and finally he has what he wants in Graham and he has worked hard to become a good QB. Franklin has always had offensive weapons but this year time has paid off and the players are understanding it. The rebels defensive unit is good but definatly not as good as years before. Luckily things have switched and the offense has begun to hold their own. Not saying this unit is bad, its still very good with alot of playmakers. Due to the rebels offensive improvment and playmakers I give the W to the Rebels!!
  15. The match-up to watch in this game is the offensive line of franklin vs the defense of ravenwood. Every year ravenwood blitzes like crazy and always disrupts franklins tempo and timing. It does not matter how good franklin is at passing, play action, and running the ball, if the cant block they will not win. That is the key to this game and should be interesting to watch.
  16. well maybe you need to quite being a bystander, become a USSF and TSSAA official and make your own calls and get ctritisized for them. Because I have been officiating soccer for 6 years and look at it from two points of view.
  17. All I am going to say is the call was accurate. In no way was that a 50/50 ball. He did not attempt to head the ball first, it was chest high. Anytime you endanger the keeper the way he did it is going to be card and most likely red. If the same play happened involving a franklin player and brentwood goalie I would have expected the same outcome. The moran here is not me but you guys who do not understand nor respect the game of soccer.
  18. Whats BS is your post. What he did was cheap and uncalled for. Never do you jump mid air cleats up and collide with the goalie as he is getting ready to posses the ball. The red card was well deserved and the action came across malicious. You can not let those things go and expect to keep control of the game. It was a very good call. As for the franklin player, the yellow card was correct. He was standing up for his keeper and though he should not of done what he did a shove is no where near a drop kick to the chest. Thats why he got the yellow.
  19. That red card was well deserved. If he had come away with anything less that would have been questionable. Anytime you go cleats up into the goalkeeper who is in the process of possesing (sp?) the ball its a red. Safety of the goalkeeper is a priority for the referee. Oh and the Brentwood coach seemed like a jerk. Have never heard one good thing about him and saw why.
  20. haha well back at ya man. Independence sportmanship is terrible as well and that goes around for the majority of the sports. I respect Brentwood, Ravenwood, Franklin, and Centennial but Independence has no respect from me. Maybe you should worry about your own sportmanship before talking about others
  21. Well Franklin did beat McGavock in the region semis and went onto to sub-state last year which is impressive. I also know you know this but you keep saying Franklin is not good outside their district. I think time will tell and we will see what happens. I have been reading your posts for awhile now and your an interesting fellow. Very inconsistent with your posts but I guess thats what make the boards so interesting. Go Rebels!!
  22. Today football coaches look for potential. They seem to care less and less about what you have done in the past and really zone in on the potential you may have to become the type of football player they want you to be. Its all about size in speed in todays world. You could be a three- year starter, an all region, all state selection and mvp and play in all star games but in the end they ask the question does this guy have the potential to play at this level for four years. For many its no for some its yes and thats how it goes. I have no idea why you think signings were down due to the region being down. They have had the past 2-3 years to play against good players, A weak region is no excuse. In the end it comes down to the coach and he determines which have the potential to play at the next level.
