One more thing. Can The chs guards get the the ball down low with the defensive pressure franklin will bring along with batt playing in front. Its proven chs is careless with the ball when under distress. Ball Handling wise Franklin wins that category. As long as Franklin hustles and plays with confidense they should come away with the win.

Why cant I say Jamal Starnes, he has stepped and can hold his own. May not be as good as kelly and harris but wont be a push over. He will come in a give quality minutes to the team. Dont forget about glover playing defense in the post as well. You have to rememeber Batt is one of the quickest and agressive post players in the district. If he fronts kelly in the post dont expect a 20- 30 point game. How many games has franklin lost since siske went out. Zero! Not saying its not a big loss but the team has seemed to adjust well. Well in the 2nd half of the last game kelly actually was contained and was held to only 6 or so points. If batt can play the way he did in that half this entire game should not be a problem. Alot of teams try to play behind kelly but in second half batt actually fronted him and it seemed to work, should be interesting. Harrick was right, if franklin shoots above average they should win hands down. Lets break this down, Chs has what 1 maybe 2 good outside shooters in mccleamore and mcfarlan, for him depending on the night, oh and lamont if he shoots from the free throwline. Franklin on the other hand has Glass, kegarise, young, glover all consistent from behind the arc. and on the floor batt has got that base line jumper down pat. I know you chs fans are saying we got more the just 1 or 2 shooters, but guys come on lets get serious. Bryd, scales, jones, and the other post player putting up more than 2 to 4 points a piece. I dont think so. Favor Franklin!!! Also Franklin has the more passionate, we wont loose additude, just look at batts face during the game. Franklin wont let what happened last game happen again. You cant say batt was contained by kelly at all. If you were watching the game you could clearly see that batt had the quicker first step and actually beat kelly off the dribble to the basket 3-4 times. Its hard to say who beat who in the post when they both played good games, and if im not mistaken kelly had only around 6 points in the 2nd half. Over it was a good game, just as I predicted. Close but the rebels pulling it out in the end. For CHS they need to address turnovers. CHS probably would have won this game if they had not thrown the ball away so many times. They hvae tried to force things in all season and they will not get far in district play if they continue that. Maybe Ty Jones should replace Schales at the point. He may be the problem. As for Franklin, keep building that momentum. Continue to play hard and play smart. Tourny wont be easy, espically with only 3 posts rotating. GO REBELS!!

As a franklin fan I am dissappointed in some of the comments made by my fellow fans. I have watched both teams very close this year and believe that cenntennial is the most improved team in the district since the break. This game will be alot closer than most might think although I am going to stay true to my rebels and pick them with the win, it wont come easy though. Chs is a good team and gets better every game. They have to improve on protecting the ball and making smart passes. The past couple games they have started to force the ball and they will not win if they do that friday night. Also Lamont may not be SEC or D-1 material but IMO he is the most improved player in the district with his consistent jump shot around the foul line and his insane rebounding since the break. Im not saying he is the best but just the most improved. For Franklin they need to control the tempo and push the ball quick. The Chs transition defense is shaky and franklin should take advantage. They also need to defend the post which should not be a problem with batt down low because he is by far the best post defender in the district. Should be a great one and I am looking forward to friday GO REBELS!!!

Scratch that favor, I am not going to go back and read all 661 of your posts. But if my memory serves me correct this is not the first time you have talked about campbell and his lack of production. In recent posts you may not have used the word overrated but rather synonyms for ex: "lack of production". But Im sure if someone dug deep enough we can find some posts on when you would rant on all the indy recievers and how much more productive they were than campbell.

Sure people expect to see dominance but what is more important is potential. It is alot easier to be a dominant running back or a dominant linebacker than a dominant reciever when your not in a pass happy offense like campbell was. His senior year the offense was run first, pass second offense because of the young and learning QBs. Sure Elliot, Everson, Becker, Jennings, Gray, Cleckner, and Norfleet were dominant players, but I promise he has more potential at the next level, where it counts even more, than these guys had. Or else he probably would not be in Knoxville right now getting ready for spring practice.

Why dont you tell us about some athletes who are not over rated that have the size and potential to play at the next level. It seems like people on here just rant on all the over rated athletes around.

To be honest the game made me sick last night, and I am not even a fan for either school. Itr was extremely dissappointing to see chs loose after playing 3 great qtrs and throwing it away in the 4th, but thats bball and it happens. Indy won the game because of two things: 1. Kuchar, scored all night, if you dont put a hand in his face he will score. 2. defensive trap, they did a great job taking advantage of chs putting themseleves in bad positions on the floor. As for an overall team I honestly do not think Indy is that great. They have one playmaking and two depending on the night. They play good defense every once in awhile and are very inconsistent. As for the indy big man, Wow could not be more unimpressed with his play since the break. He is soft does not move his feet and its a shame someone with such a gifted frame can not take advantage of it. As for chs the played a great first half protecting the play, making open shots and getting downlow and to the big but about halfway through the third it all went down hill form, they just collapsed. I do think chs is rising ande should make alot of noise come playoff time and Lamont Harris has improved tremendously since the break, maybe the most improved in the district. I look for good things soon out of this club. Lastly this is for donathan, I was amazed at all the classless fans i saw at the game, mostly on the indy. I could not believe my eyes. Chs seems to be playing better every game while Ihs has been a little shaky but always manages to win. Should be a very good game but I can not wait to hear what donathans got to say about all the classless fans hes gonna see at the game.

Correct, Franklin did not dominate but they played well for 3 1/2 qtrs. Unfortunatly you have to play 4 to win ball games. MJ was a good team Franklin just fell apart at the end. Not protectong the ball and committing turnovers is not franklin basketball and thats what happened in the 4th. Congrats to MJ, Franklin will put this one behind them, get ready for their holiday tourny and and hopefully dominate the district.

Ill help you out, Centennial played man to man much of the night. Did not play much zone and if they did it was very little. Franklin won because they played good defense and pressured the ball and forced CHS to commit turnover after turnover. They controlled the paint and forced kelly and harris to play along the permimeter to much. Franklin was quick with there passes and they way they shot the ball was impressive. CHS lost because they couldnt handle the pressure. Turnovers killed them, very sloppy in protecting the ball. Defense was not to hot, did not play as quick as I expected. CHS was not very effective in the paint, was not able to get it inside as much as past games and franklin forced them to play along the 3-point arc. Now we wait for game 2 in Jan.

So you just have to wing it and predict by gut feeling?
