Alright, yes the team could of been better than it was but it was not the coaches desicions that affected the teams success. I know you do not like it when people say that but it was not the case. Second, coach clayton is not building a one demensional passing program. This past year Franklin did not have great runners like derrian waters a year ago, but they did have a good quaterback in Mikrut and good recievers in hewitt, campbell, helton and more. As any coach would do he wanted to utilize his best players on the field and make it a point to get them the ball so they could make plays and score points. Also with every coach comes a new playbook and style of play, and you either buy into their system or you find somewhere else to play. Franklins coach is the kind of guy that is going to use the entire field and manipulate the defense. That is why he stayed away from calling plays like "run left", "run right" like the coaching staff did in 2004, and yes i know your gonna say well it worked didntit, and yes for you guys it did, but that would have not been the case for the 2005 team. lastly you say discipline wasnt there and I am going to say it was. Next time your down in Franklin go to a practice and stick around to about the end and watch the running the players have to do if they are late, missed practice, joked around in class, or made bad grades. Also if there was no discipline than the player that was let loose by the coach during the season would have still been on the team and continue to be a distraction.

Alright man, well im glad to see you know everything about the Franklin football program. maybe when you get out of college you can go back and coach the team.

hahaha, I want to thank you for the humor you bring me everytime I read your posts. To be honest I think you know nothing. Your not around the new coach enough to know if hes a good one or not. Oh heres a good idea for ya, why dont you do a little search on Franklins good ole coach and see what you can find. I believe he had a powerful football dynasty that dominated 4-A football up in KY. ( which 4-A is the highest class up there) He has produced many college football players and has alot of contacts at the next level as well. Also I think Michael Mikrut was his 4th QB to go on to college in a row. If thats not impressive for a coach please tell me what is. I believe hes got 25+ years of highschool coaching expierence. so please dont sit here and tell all of us hes a bad coach when you hardly know anything about.

Wow, really shows you know alot of your region. Ravenwood would be in region 6-5A just so you know. Also I may still stick with riverdale over smyrna. Dont think yall are quite there yet.

I disagree that Franklin became lesser of a program. Since you came out of the program, before this coach came in and took charge, i am guessing you have gone on to college and have lost some close contact with the football program at Franklin. Yes some things changed, But I believe most of them were good changes. You can not critisize a coach if you have not been around him personally. The disicions of the coaches did not cost franklin the region title. Franklin lost 2 important games by a combined margin of 3 points. In both games the players had chances to make plays and but both these games away, but didnt. It was'nt the coaches that cost the players the game, it was the players not taking advantage of oppertunities. I believe Franklins coach knows what he is doing. It seems like he has alot of expierence and knowledge of the game. I am excitied to see Franklin play this coming fall and I think Franklins coach is in the process of building and new and even better football program than before. Be patient, and time will tell if this program is going in the right direction.

ah your pretty funny, wonder whoever said that. i would like to see yall go up against a team like Hunters Lane. Last nights game was fun one to watch. I thought Franklin played very well despite rushing some passes and shots here and there. They played with alot of heart but it just didnt turn out the way they wanted. Congrats Hunters Lane on the win. Good luck in sub state and hopefully state.

Hey here is a good idea, why dont yall get off here and stop saying yall are all that, because your not, and whoever made this thread is an idiot. Im glad the real Franklin players that actually make it onto the field are not on here. For you guys that are saying this probably are the bench warmers and have yet to prove your ability in a varisty game.

Franklin, because of their defense and their ability to pick teams apart. As long as they do not play like they did against hillsboro all fingers point toward franklin to win this game.

I dont know if you remember, but last year Franklin lost to Whites Creek in the region semifinal to end their season, and Whites Creek did not Lose one starter from last years team. Also Franklin lost to Antioch earlier this season. Hunters Lane Is also a very very good basketball team who has beat Whites Creek and Antioch this season. So dont say ravenwood is going to be the biggest threat to the rebels in the tourny. Its going to be the boys from nashville who know how to play basketball who pose the real threat. Still supporting my boys from Franklin and still think they can pull it off and make it to sub-state, but you cant be to confident, anything can happen!!

The rebels should cruise through the district tourny, however they have some tough opponents in district 12 in Whites Creek, Hunters Lane, and Antioch. If Franklin keeps playing great defense and shoot lights out they will definatly go on to sub-state. I do not feel like they have played to their potential yet. Hopefully they can prove themseleves as a good tourny team and come out firing. The region tournament should be an exciting one to watch.

Dont agree with the "OVER-RATED!" comment. Todd Campbell is a good and talented player but not over-rated. There has not been a whole lot of talk about him to say he is over-rated. Don't know many recievers who have put numbers up like he did. Had 2 maybe 3 games where he had 3 touchdown catches, to me and im sure to others thats impressive. Hes got the size and speed for the next level. If Franklin can find someone to throw him the ball next year it will be exciting to see him play. If there are other recievers you know of who are more impressive then todd, then share with us. We would like to hear.

Casey Dykes (third base) and Corbin Joseph (second base) from Franklin High School. Two good players who both started as freshman. Both should have big years.

Alright, its not big of deal but just for the record its wrong, the rosters are wrong. He will be a senior next year, trust me. Try talking to some Centennial folks and see. Alright end of subject.

Frashad Barlar (07) is going to be a senior next year also Jordan Thompson (08) will be a junior next year. Either your roster is wrong or you did not read it correctly. So I just had to correct you on that. Your right, maybe I should not have made a little preditction for next year, but Independence has alot of potenial and it will be exciting to see them play next year.

Independence is going to be alot better than you think. I would go ahead and say they make the playoffs next year. Also you do not know you own team well enough, some of those centennial players you listed are older than you think. You might want to back and check it out. Independence WILL get a win over centennial, but we will have to see about ravenwood

haha yea I doubt this game will be that high scoring. Two good defenses wont give up 40 points. I give Ravenwood the edge 17-7.

Framklin won 2-1 over chs. It was a good game. franklin struck first with a header from Derek Batt. CHS got their only goal on a corner kick. Franklin scored the winning goal off a penalty shot. It was a pretty good game.

The Rebels won tonight over the bruins 89-61, so it does not look like the bruins own the rebels. Orr did drunk tonight, but once so not all night and jeff barnes almost had a dunk himself. Better luck next time Bruins!!! you might need it.

Brentwood likes to say that Franklin does that when they win in a close game. Bruin fans can not take it when they loose to the rebels. They have to blame the lose on the refs and say the Rebels paid them to go against the bruins. It is really stupid for that brentwood guy to bring up

Oh yea and if we ( Franklin) are failures we would not be in the state championship game, But we are so were not. Since Brentwood isnt there you can say the Bruins are failures, your choice. I am noit saying they are failurs because they made it to the quaters but you can think however you want.

The Franklin Brentwood game is over and in the past. This is about Franklin and Riverdale now so just SHUT IT!!!!! Dont count Franklin out of this game yet. They still have a chance. They have heart to win so expect a good fight from the Rebels.
