  1. My senior year was last year. I'm in my first year or college, and the biggest difference for me is the amount you play. As a pitcher in high school you can expect to pitch around 35-40 innings, where as in college you'll get up to 50-60 innings. Then you have the postion players, they play 30 games on avg. during a high school season, and the college players will play around 60. Double the games on a first year position player and that really tests their mental strength. So I think one of the biggest things for me is growing stronger mentally and not just physically.
  2. I think he may have dislocated his shoulder. May or may not be back this year.
  3. HWT-- Charlie Smith-Sullivan East
  4. Where do you go to school? Heck that's all any one can do right now is predict so i guess the best thing is to play the season and see how it goes. Dillow yea don't reckon i was thinkin.
  5. Sorry about that.......how's his arm doing from the football injury?
  6. How much do you know about East? As well as the other schools? I'm not trien to downgrade either of those two, I just think to make a statement it would be best if you knew something about the teams you are comparing. DB will be strong yes, because of their pitching, which will probably be tops in the conference. THS will have a strong team especially with Marcus behind the plate. And East is returning 7 starters...not to mention matt eads in center with the most God gifted arm I have ever seen personally...and starting 7 seniors maybe....if our pitching holds up and comes through then we will be just fine. Another team to watch in D-1 aaa is crockett, they will field a strong team as well.....and any time barlow from boone pitches they will have an excellant chance to beat whoever. Just some thoughts though.
  7. Did you play last year? I pitched against volunteer last year in the scrimmage.
  8. ohh do you know if ya'll will scrimmage us again this year? Sullivan East
  9. Shoun or Shound sorry about the spelling.......he'll be on of the stronger pitchers in the conference
  10. Just be careful saying IT WILL BE between DB and THS. Don't want you to get your feelings hurt or any thing.
  11. East has been playin a lot better here lately. Lost to crockett at the buzzer off a airball tip in, played well vs. DB, and last night they finally put all 4 qtrs. together. Crowder can shoot the 3, and I knew it had to be a matter of time before they started playin good. Hopefully they will build off of this win and keep it goin. Thought Craig had a good game, 21 points, and 2nd half they all shot the 3 ball well.
  12. I think one of the better players was #5 Bray from Mays. He didnt light up the scoreboard, but his defense was pretty amazing. I dont know how many steals he had but I'm sure it was alot. Just a really good player to watch play the game. ohh and his dribbling was not to bad either. He knew how to draw the foul. I wish West Hill woulda won because I wanted to watch Javon Sheppard play a little more. Im to lazy to get out of bed and go to the early session therefore only watched him play SH. Looked like he could sky though.
  13. That was Tyler's first game back. We have the potential to turn things around is all I am saying. So you calling them sorry is a bad statement to make this early in the season. I agree with you on the dribbling, but like i have stated before there's a chance to turn things around when they decide they want to.
  14. To early in the season to be callin a team sorry. THS is good, but Terrel (sorry about the spelling if it's wrong) won't shoot that good again. He missed one shot. We won't shoot that bad again. 27%? Come on, no team is that bad. I agree a lot of dribbling occurs, but when we work it inside to our posts then things will turn around. Just seems there's a better chance of making a shot from inside out instead of receiving a pass from the top of the key to shoot. I'm not willing to say East is done because I will guarentee you they're not. To much talent (and I don't really care that you think they are horrible) to let the season continue this way. The seniors WILL come together and work through this. There's still 20+ games to be played, and the only thing that matters is who's playin the best come tourny time.
