  1. Consider this a Moore Co. matchup. A lot of history involved between these two solid coaches. These two have been good friends for a long time stemming back to Jennifers days in Lynchburg. Hardin was a true supporter of her teams that faired so well in the early 90`s. A classic matchup where you hate to see one of the two lose.
  2. TOO EARLY TO SAY. GIVE IT ANOTHER WEEK. RIGHT NOW YOU`VE GOT TO GIVE IT TO MOORE OR HARDIN.
  3. COLUMBIA BY 12. TOO MANY HORSES AND THIS AINT SANTEL ON THE SIDELINES.
  4. I WOULD RATHER NOT BE PLAYING WELL NOW, THAN LATER ON. TIPPS IS FAIRLY SEASONED AFTER WORKING AS AN ASSISTANT UNDER GOOD COACHES, AND ALSO HAVING BEEN IN THE HEAT OF 8-AAA FOR TWO YEARS. WATCH FOR THIS TEAM TO GATHER MOMENTUM AND GET A SHOT AT PERRY CO. OR SUMMERTOWN IN THE REGION SEMI`S. I WOULNDN`T WORRY ABOUT A POST PRESENCE SO MUCH AS I WOULD BEING ABLE TO TAKE CARE OF THE BALL TO LIMIT OTHERS TEAMS POSSESSIONS. TIPPS WILL CORRECT THE ERRORS. IT`S ONLY JAN.19.
  5. ASHLEY EARLY IS A VERY SKILLED PLAYER FACING THE BASKET. I WOULDN`T SAY THE CLARK KID CAN HANDLE AND SHOOT FROM THE PERIMETER AS WELL AS EARLY. SHE WOULD PROBABLY BE A 3 IN VANDYS SYSTEM, AND SHE DOES NOT HAVE THE FACE UP SKILLS NEEDED TO PLAY IN THE SEC.
  6. STICK A FORK IN THE LADY HORNETS. RAIDERETTES BOUNCE BACK IN A STRONG SHOWING.
  7. WHAT`S THE DEAL IN WINCHESTER WINGMAN? HAVE HEARD ABOUT AN ADMINISTRATOR SITTING ON THE BENCH. ANY TRUTH?
  8. SOUNDS AS IF THE NATIVES ARE RESTLESS. THE FRANKLIN CO. GAME COULD DECIDE THE FATE. WONDER WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF THEY COME HOME FROM WINCHESTER 3-4 IN 8-AAA?
  9. I`VE SAT BACK AND WATCHED GILES HANDLE THEM IN THE REGULAR SEASON THE LAST TWO YEARS. LORETTO WILL PREVAIL AGAIN IN THE TOURNAMENTS IF THEY GET THEIR CHEMISTRY PROBLEMS CORRECTED PRIMARILY WITH THE STONE KIDS SHOT SELECTION.
  10. PERRY CO. HAS THE BEST 2, SUMMERTOWN THE BETTER 5. I LIKE THE TEAM WITH THE BEST 5 53-49.
  11. MOORE COUNTY IN A BAD WAY. THEY MIGHT AS WELL START PREPARING FOR THE REGION SEMIFINALS V. PERRY CO. OR SUMMERTOWN.
  12. THIS ONE IS VERY INTERESTING. LAWRENCE CO. HAS WON QUITE A FEW IN A ROW OVER THE LADY FALCONS. THE MENTAL EDGE LIES WITH LAWRENCE CO. THE TALENT LEVEL IS ABOUT EQUAL. I DONT KNOW IF PLAYING AT HOME MATTERS, BECAUSE LINCOLN CO. DOESN`T TYPICALLY DRAW WELL. I`M NOT SOLD ON LINCOLN CO.`S GUARD PLAY YET. I`LL TAKE LAWRENCEBURG 48-44.
  13. I AGREE WITH SHOWTIME 7 TOTALLY. WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT CLARKSVILLE NE SHOWTIME 7? THEY ARE ATHLETIC AND RETURN EVERYONE FROM A TEAM THAT BEAT A CLARKLESS MJ TEAM LAST SEASON. I HAVE HEARD THEY ADDED A KID WHO WAS THE LEADING SCORER IN CLARKSVILLE LAST YEAR AT KENWOOD. THEY COULD GET WILSON CENTRAL IN A REGION SEMI SHOWDOWN.
  14. COLUMBIA BY 14. COFFEE NOT PLAYING WELL. HOW DO THEY LOSE TO WARREN CO. AT HOME?
  15. Just remember that Hoffman developed this talent.
  16. Better beat them early. Yes, I agree with Showtime 7. Even though this is probably the least talented team at Shelbyville in a long time, the district and Region is not talent laden as in years past. The only team that that is more talented in the whole Region is Columbia, so Shelbyville in a Sub State game is not out of the question. There are no Cara Reed`, Ashley Taylor`, Brooke Sunday`, Krystal Horton`, Kristen Spann`, Amber Benjamin`, or Tia Stovall` anywhere in this Region this year. Not even close! Outside of Columbia, there are NO D1 kids other than Lanning at Riverdale. Again, better get them early!
  17. Lions Den, Couldn`t agree with you more. I fel it`s Coffee and Columbia. Not saying there could be a surprise, but those two are the odds on favorites. Is this the most talented team in Columbia history? I know when Gobble-Moore played there under Coach Harlowe they were good, but I dont feel as if they were as athletic as they are now. I know they had some athletes, but not what is running through their now. I know the Moore kid is headed to UTC, but what is going on with some of the younger kids. Who has shown interest in them? Best of luck and only time will tell the actual outcome.
  18. If the two young, but talented guards continue to develop at Oakland as the season progresses, I`ll take Grandstaff`s bunch as a legitimate contender for the Region Title. They are not as talented as Columbia, but with seasoning as the season goes on, they could get them in a one shot deal to host on a Saturday night in March.
  19. Michael is a class act. He`s done a lot to promote the game of basketball since he has been at Riverdale. Tennessee needs a few more Michael Burt`s. Best of luck to him and the Lady Warrriors this year.
  20. The talent that Lawrenceburg has is average talent. I truly dont feel there is a Smith, Berry, Brackin, Perkins, Helton, Spann or Woods in the bunch. I do agree that they will win some they are not suppose to. In order to get to Murfreesboro through this tough district, region and sub state, there must be above average players, because the Columbia`s, the White Co.`s and the Cleveland`s have above average talent. L`burg does not.
  21. Wouldn`t go out on a limb and say this Lawrence Co. team is talented. Watched them at Shelbyville this summer, and feel none of these kids will develop into anywhere near what the Spann kid or the Woods kid developed into. You are right, they could pull some upsets, but just because the talent level is down in the league.
  22. 1. Columbia: Too Athletic, added a shooter, well coached. 2. Coffee: Experience, depth? 3. Shelbyville: Tradition helps, guard play? 4. Lincoln Co.: Size, depth, can they get over the mental hurdle? 5. Franklin Co.: Two top players return, fairly young though. 6. Lawrence Co.: Too young, who will score? 7. Tullahoma: Could win a few because talent in league is down.
