  1. I'm not making a prediction on this game as I'm not psychic nor are any of the rest of you. However, I do want to give the Lady Eagles of Summertown a Congrats on an AWESOME year regardless of the outcome of this game, and also give them ALL THE GOOD LUCK they might need to pull this one out. Good Luck tonight ladies! I know we are at yall's throat during the regular season for those County bragging rights and YOU LADIES HOLD THOSE rights for this year, but don't let up now! I'm dreaming of a dejavu with the Lady Eagles and the Lady Mustangs playing back to back in the Boro come next week just as we did a couple of seasons ago! Except, I hope there is more than one game and out for the both of us!! GOOD LUCK LADIES...play your hearts out and good things will happen!!!! -Nick Davis
  2. I have no idea about large schools. Small Schools (GIRLS) TUESDAY: New Prospect upset Cheatham County WEDNESDAY: Lewis County defeated William James THURSDAY: Coffman upset Harpeth and South Lawrence defeated Charlotte Middle (The 4 remaining teams are all from the SOUTH AREA!) Congrats girls! TOTAL DOMINATION!! Saturday at 1pm: South Lawrence will take on New Prospect in Semi-final action! Also Saturday, not sure of the time, but Coffman will take the floor against Lewis County! The winner of the South Lawrence/New Prospect gamewill play the winner of the Coffman/Lewis County game in the Sectional Finals on Monday! Small School (BOYS) Final Four teams are: New Prospect ( They played Wed. but I do NOT know who they beat) Waverly knocked off Lewis County. Harpeth beat up on Stone Bridge Academy. William James had their way with Leoma. Teams Advancing: New Prospect, Waverly, Harpeth, and William James
  3. Anymore "BOLD POSTS" you'd like to make THELMA? You weren't off too bad with your prediction. You predicted a 12 point defeat and it was 2 points. You were only off by a 10 point spread, however you had the teams switched as far as who would win. Its a shame too that Loretto had to be the 1st team this season to BEAT COLLINWOOD TWICE since as you stated in a previous post " NOBODY ELSE" had managed to do that this year..that must hurt double bad since you all had such high hopes of "springboarding" into district tourney action off of a victory over the Lady Mustangs! Tough Luck, can't win them all, better luck in the District Tourney CONGRATS LADY MUSTANGS on a great season, and hopefully many more games to come in the TOURNEY!!
  4. Roadrunner, evidently something made you think they could win big in AA...If you wonder what I'm talking about glance back at your profile and see who your tops in the state were back on December 25,2005 at 11pm. Cuz the Lady Mustangs that you came down on so hard in this thread was I believe the 5th team you named. 8 go to the Boro so evidently you had Loretto going to the state. Have you even seen a game, or are you just looking at scores and headlines and judging?? Yea..thats what I thought. See ya later ROADRUNNER!! BEEP BEEP yourself out of Loretto's threads and worry about your R'Runners buddy! Oh yea, by the way..I went back and read all the posts you've ever written..their were fourteen or fifteen and THIRTEEN of them are NEGATIVE or taking a shot at somebody...have a good day my fellow ROADRUNNER! LOL...
  5. Coach Green has NEVER got on a RADIO BROADCAST or even talked to someone in conversation and "blamed her team" for a loss!! That's a BOLD FACE LIE!! Team loses a couple ball games to TOP NOTCH teams and BALL FAN wants to go blaming and throwing off on the coach! If you think you can do better then go look hard enough and find yourself a coaching position and implement all the "good ideas" you have into your team. Heck, schedule a game against her and see if you can beat her! Come out from behind that "SECRETIVE SCREEN NAME" and be a MAN , OR a WOMAN and let it be known who you are! If you feel so strongly about these issues to the point that you get on a Public Forum and voice complaints and concerns and even second-guess the X's and O's of the game then you definitely need to let it be known who you are so when the next coaching position around this area comes up that you can be conisdered!! LOL!!!!! Don't blast a coach, which is in essence blasting the "team" as a whole and dragging everyone involved down and then have the nerve to wish the team GOOD LUCK @ the bottom of the post! You don't hope the team does well, and you don't wish them GOOD LUCK or you'd keep your NEGATIVITY off of public message boards!! The days of FAIRWEATHER FANS need to be over!! Come to the games and SUPPORT and be POSITIVE or stay home, and keep your mouth shut, and your fingers off the keyboard!! NICK DAVIS
  6. Congratulations to the Lady Mustangs on taking the district for season play. It's always a little bit of a cushion to win the district and be guaranteed a region birth, so just lay your ears back and go get'em Lady Mustangs! Nothing to be nervous about...Just play hard, and good things will happen!! Congrats to the team on a district clinching win tonight, and CONGRATS also to Miss LHS, JANA CROSS!!! Skirt to ball suit in a matter of minutes to lead the Lady Mustangs to a big victory w/ 28 points!! WOW!!! Congrats to all and GOOD LUCK the rest of the way!! DON'T LET UP NOW LADIES!!
  7. I just talked to a Lewis County player, and she said that Lewis County took the victory over Giles County by about a 20 point margin! WOW!!
  8. No problem pageman, I meant no disrespect towards you and I didnt necessarily even want to correct it for your benefit but for the "official scorekeeper" at Lewis County I did!! It's all about opinion I guess. Mine is that when your losing by twenty going into the 4th quarter and your beat and the team with the lead decides to take everyone out since the score is 45-25, then the other team should do the obvious and sub as well. But, that's my opinion and you know what is said about opinions. They are like rear ends..everybody's got one and they all stink for the most part...Thanks again on the run down of the game Pageman. Congrats once again to the Lady Mustangs on the district win and good luck the rest of the way!!
  9. Good break down of most everything from what I can tell. Your stats are always appreciated. I have one thing to say, as I usually do...Where do you get "both" benches were cleared? There were girls sitting on Lewis County's bench that never stepped on the floor and if so it was for a VERY SHORT time...Loretto didnt' play a starter the last 3 mins atleast of the game maybe longer, and Duncan, the pt. guard for lewis county, and also micha anderson I don't ever remember leaving the ball game. They were left in to press, foul and play catch up against Loretto's youngsters. Not by any means blaming or blasting you...your from Page, but I was very unimpressed with that out of Lewis County! Congratulations to the Lady Mustangs on moving to 8-0 in district play, and good luck the rest of the way. Congratulations to Nicole Duncan on an OUTSTANDING game tonight!! Keep blockin those shots Necole!! (except against Loretto)...HA HA
  10. Jana Cross of the Loretto Lady Mustangs!! She has a pretty good outside shot, she can get the ball outside and drive and score..and on a straight up post up down low taking a girl one on one, there isn't a girl in the state of tennessee in high school basketball that can stop her..she's got the spin move and up and under and dishoff to her teammates mastered. What's really impressive about Jana is her ability to use her left hand just as smoothly and fluently as her right hand. That's impressive and rare in high school girls basketball!!
  11. Tigerman, I wasn't referring to you in anyway about you being wrong, actually I don't even remember you posting anything...but since you chose to throw yourself into it I may as well go ahead and comment. In regards to your Shelbyville beating Giles County 61 last week..well, why don't we try and compare apples and oranges. It really doesn't make since to throw Loretto, or even Giles County for that matter into the same category..SHELBYVILLE is AAA and have tons more to choose from than does Loretto or Giles County. Alright, got that part off my chest. Now for the next comment about liking a combination of players that are long gone. That doesn't make for a very competent remark either. I'm sure if everyone sat back and looked at old players from their high school that they could mix and match, and go back in time and conglomerate one well of a team, but by gones are by gones, and those ladies are in college now. The ones you named were great athletes and I'm in NO way putting them down, but if you are referring to last years team, they made it to the SEMI-FINALS of the REGION tournament. Several teams have done that. If you were referring to the team that went to the State Tournament two years ago, well yeah, I'll give you that, anybody would be more impressed with a group of girls who made it to the State Tournament, regardless of how the rest of the season played out. That's pretty obvious. Last, but not least, your comment about "in your eyes" Loretto being a BEATABLE team..well, that doesn't take a lot of brain power to figure either seeing how they lost the 2nd game of the season to the Lady Wildcats of Wayne County. Bad night, and we didn't play well. Every team has those nights, therefore every team is BEATABLE at some point. Well, with all that being said, good luck in your playing for 2nd in the district. Hey, don't get mad, you said that, I didn't.
  12. The Loretto parent's and fan's COMFORT level were, are, and will continue to be just fine. The DISCOMFORT came with all the teams in Loretto's district being fearful that the Lady Mustangs might really be a WELL-ROUNDED team and still win even in the absence of Jana Cross, and tonight proved none other than that. Don't get me wrong, you could probably pass out a survey to everyone concerned in this neck of the woods and it'd be UNANIMOUS that everyone (including her teammates) want her back on the floor, but the Lady Mustangs can manage. Besides, really all this boils down to is that if the good Lord is willing and the creeks don't rise, JANA will be back in full force come tournament time which is all that REALLY matters!! As I said on the other page, CONGRATULATIONS to ALL of the Lady Mustangs on a hard fought victory and GOOD LUCK the rest of the way. Hopes of a speedy recovery Jana!!!
  13. CONGRATULATIONS to the Lady Mustangs on a BIG District win tonight in Giles County. I guess tonight put a few people in their place who were as I like to call them, "doubting toms". I couldn't be more proud of a team, several things went against the Lady Mustangs tonight to give them reason to lay down and die, but in the end the HEART and GUTS prevailed. Congrats to all, and GOOD LUCK the rest of the way. Hopes for a speedy recovery JANA!!
  14. I think the LADY MUSTANGS will be just fine...I think as close nit as this ball club is that this game will be played "for Jana" thru the eyes of all the girls and that will make for an impressive showing. I'm not counting the chickens before they hatch, Giles Co. can knock any team in the district off on any given night, but I'm not thinkin that tomorrow night will be "the night". May be wrong, we'll just have to see. I'm not making any prediction on this one or any other. I'll just sit back and let the Lady Mustangs do their thing. GOOD LUCK LADY MUSTANGS!!
  15. Uknow, Jana's x-ray results showed that there was NO break...Good luck Jana on a speedy recovery, and HATS OFF to ALL the Lady Mustangs who stepped up their game and came together as a team in this district win...There is a lot to be said for this Lady Mustangs ball club when Cross and Stone are usually the 2 top scorers and tonight Cross finished with 12, and Lewis County's whole game plan appeared to be to NOT let Stone get the ball or a look at a shot within 30 feet of the goal which led her to no points and the rest of the members of the team managed to lead the teamselves to a 24 point victory inspite of it all...CONGRATS to all the Lady Mustangs on a big district win and good luck the rest of the way!!!
