  1. I have found out from an 100% reliable source that Curt is staying at Sullivan South.
  2. Those are my two main reasons behind a Maryville win. After seeing them 2 weeks ago, they WILL win this game. Maryville will not be out played, coached, or hustled. You can bet the farm and house and the dog on that one. Good luck to all and stay healthy. I can't wait to see how Maples fits in at UT.
  3. Hey no problem at all. I enjoy seeing hustle and team work. Too many times teams are loaded with talent and don't have the heart or hustle and it effects the entire team. I had a preconcived notion that Maryville was a very cocky and arrogant team, mainly from the message board. However seeing them in person and talking to alot of Maryville fans I have a new respect for the entire program. They are good hardworking guys and the fans are truely dedicated. And if people would pay attention to your team's hustle, they would understand that the scores can get one sided when you have 2nd and 3rd string guys in there playing their butts off and not just going through the motions. The one thing your statement has shown is that the coaching staffs are dramatically different. The school board around here has really put a leash on money and coaching spots. Red Bank has one of the finest staffs in town, not sure how many are paid or volunteered. I don't believe that Red Bank would have won with more "coaching", but I would just like to see it for the players. Tim Daniels has done a terrific job at Red Bank. How has Maryville been able to keep their coach around? Have any colleges looked at him?
  4. I would like to mention that I have never seen a defense play as hard during a game than Maryville's did. Yes, they are talented, by far the most talented I have seen all year, but their work ethic during the game, and their "team" point of view was very impressive to watch. Also, as far as coaching, WOW. Little details I saw from Maryville, for instance, at the end of the first half, the TE, causing offensive pass interference to prevent the interception. All of the WR's went for the ball in the air. The hustle of the special teams was GREAT! On the punt to the 1 yard line, there were 5 Rebels trying to prevent the ball from going into the endzone, (this was when they were ahead in the game). Overall just a big hand for the coaching staff and players. The talent is obviously better than most teams, but the hustle and all out play is refreshing to see.
  5. That was an incredible turnout. I would guess around 10,000. I am glad to have seen a game like in our area. Maryville is very fun to watch. Tyler Maples is an unbelievable athlete. Good luck to them the rest of the way, and congrats to Red Bank on a great season.
  6. There is alot of excitement in the air around Red Bank today. I can't wait for the game to start, should be a good one! Good luck to the Lions.
  7. Good luck Lions from all of the Ram Train!
  8. No doubt all the credit goes to York and their coaching staff. As far as the players being suspended as a person of the community if the principals and coachings do not discipline the kids now, who would, so I a fully behind suspending these players. We were missing our starting fullback (980 yards rushing this season) and our starting running back, also a WR;so our offense was not close to being complete. Do I think we would have won with them, YES I honestly do. However without them last night, which no doubt was their fault, YORK was the better team. I hope the kids learned last night that you have to be responsible for your actions, and that they let the rest of their team down. I hope we meet again next year. Good luck this week against Westmoreland, then after that go BUCS!
  9. York 15 Tyner 8 Congrats to York, great job by the York coaching staff. I didn't realize who the kids were that were suspended until I got to the game. Not having those players hurt us, but that the way the cards fall. Once again good job by York coming to Tyner and playing hard and being the better team tonight. Good luck the rest of the way, and I hope the fans have a safe trip home
  10. I hope the other kids step up and play well tonight, I am sure they will.
  11. Just read that Tyner is without 6 of our starters tonight on D. All out with injuries, most from last week's game. So it will be a struggle for us throughout the playoffs.
  12. Yeah OK, I remember Smith County running that yapper last year about meeting up with Tyner, and if I remember correctly that is when Boyd came to the PIT and left with the win. Tyner is not afraid of Smith County , you will have to get past Bledsoe and Boyd (I believe Boyd will win tonight), and I just do not see that happening. Plus I am not sure we will be there in 2 weeks for a game.
  13. Good luck to both teams tonight, and I hope all the players stay healthy.
  14. I agree with his point, he is a very realistic fan, and since he is predicting a win. I will agree with him.
  15. 4 people? I understand, just funny. 400 to 500 is great! Well I hope you all have a safe trip down, I am sure you will enjoy the atmosphere. I would suggest getting all of your refreshments before you go to your stands. Once the game starts, there are always people standing up around the concession stands watching the game, and it can get crowded. Even sitting on the home side, I get all of my stuff before the game starts.
  16. will York be bringing a large crowd?
  17. I agree. Boyd was the better team that night, and in the conidtions the field was in, that was the perfect game plan. Plus the injuries we had in the game hurt our run defense up the middle. (where Hathaway ran the ball all night long.) I can't believe Friday is already here, hope all the travelers are safe tonight. Remember to get a fish sandwich!
  18. I hope your right. I personally feel that all of our losses come to better teams on that night. I have no doubt McCallie and Fulton are better than us. Brainerd was a bad matchup for us, and Boyd just punched us in the mouth and was a better team that night. If Tyner comes out focused and ready, we will win big, if not it could be interesting.
