Is Smyrna selling advance tickets at the school's office as R'dale was NOT sent any to sell for some reason?

Someone let their limited vocabulary get the best of them in the other thread. Queen Bee did the right thing and shut it down before it could go farther downhill. They were also confused as to what parts of the anatomy goes with girls and boys if that gives you any idea.

Don't feel bad as it is what I have had to do in the Presidential elections for the last 30 years.

My picks for this week. R'dale-Yes I know this is a homer pick. LaVergne Wilson Central-but this one could go either way. Oakland Germantown Fulton Hillsboro-I was undecided but I 'think' playing at home gives it to them. White Station Kenwood Eagleville

Monday morning 14 kids are out of school due to pneumonia.....along with a major booster who streaks the game. 2P, don't sweat TJ as most folks know he does NOT represent Oakland and both schools have respect for the others program. Besides if he actually ever got on a football field he would be squashed like a bug by 'REAL' players like the 'Clone'! You know, if you look at this in the right frame of mind it is really fun.

While Oakland IS playing the best football they have played in years, I don't think they can take either R'dale or Smyrna this year.

Just as long as he does NOT pull a 'Croach' then it is all good.

37dog I appreciate your love for your team. Only thing is that you have forgotten your recent history. You talk about the "Seniors" being winners since they were 5 years old. Now are these the same seniors that have played for the last 4 years at Smyrna? If so they have had a couple of losses in their past. 82cat has spent ALOT of time on here trying to motivate Smyrna and I salute him for that. I just question the 'WHY' they need that much motivation this year. There is too much that has gone on between these teams the last few years to actually need it. They DO know each other and how the other plays. I just hope Smyrna has LOTS of hot chocolate Friday night!

And just think that no matter how it goes 'this' Friday night, we all will 'probably' get to see a re-match of this game in the playoffs! Only big question this Friday settles is WHO'S house it will be played at. Should call this game the "Battle for the Gate".

Welllll it was too good to last. LOTS of locker room material going on this week. As to Goree being soft, please remind yourself of that when you are flat on your back and he is standing over you. He will not be talking or giving quotes on here, he lets his play do the talking for him. Other side to run against, then you have to contend with Verge. Good luck there also. I am sure the 'smurfs' will also enjoy this whole couple of pages also.

Coaches need to spread out and walk the field BEFORE the game and find any holes that may be there. Oakland gonna have a coach on the lift this year?

I do not see this game being near as high scoring as the games in the past. First off R'dale does NOT run up the score anymore. More importantly the offense they run now is not conducive to high scores. It is more grind it out, and time consuming. The only way I see it being high scoring is 'if' there is alot of mistakes and folks losing the ball to fumbles and interceptions. Players need to keep their heads and NOT fight as they still have some games to play and neither team need to be without players due to suspensions. Will the schools be selling tickets early? If so I need a couple!

I 'think' they are saying all this to try to get him to leave R'dale so they can hire Coach A! Gonna take WAY more than this to get him. Especially as y'all have said NOTHING to back up y'alls accusations. tgif and pigskin have what less than 100 posts between the two of them? Yep, COACH RECRUITERS!

Very good question! If they didn't like Coach A then they would have REALLY hated Coach R.

Only thing I know is that R'dale can NOT be handing Smyrna the gifts we gave to WC and expect to win. We fumble half as much in this game and Smyrna will send us home a loser. While I 'think' R'dale will win, it will not be an easy game. Too much bad blood between these two programs for either of us to take the other lightly. I also 'think' part of the problem is Smyrna has put too much emphasis on Coach Rankin leaving this spring. Yes he was a good Coach, it was the kids on the field actually making the plays and winning the games. BTW Cat it is 75 region games in a row as of last Friday.

Who is running the team until the end of the season?

OK, I admit I am slow, but this is getting ridiculous. Don't fit? Why not, because he is winning. Looking? We are used to that every year. What he was like at Hillsboro? Who cares what he did there, besides win! From what I have seen this season from outside the program this year is a Coach who cares about his players and don't place the blame on them for his mistakes (McCallie game ending). I will say that I just wish my son had played for him for his four years of High School football! Coach A plays more kids every week and cares about their welfare both on and OFF the field. The kids, and to me that is important ones that parents should be worried about, has been a GREAT addition to the R'dale program. From EVERY player on the current team I have talked to, he IS respected and wanted by the entire team. Have NOT heard ANY negative comment by any of them so far. If he IS offered something better and better paying I will say he deserves it and will handle it much better than some that have come and gone before. I also 'think' he will at least tell the boys up front and at least say goodbye with class. Coach A, Thank You for what you are doing with this team!

Both Goree and Verge have the ability to make offenses completely re-think their protection plans for their respective backfields. They both bring it 100% in EVERY game and on every play. Size AND speed from BOTH of them. On the agressive side I would have to give the edge to Verge, but not by much. I see them BOTH spending alot of time in the future in Smyrna's backfield. Sonny may can throw a mile, but he will be running for his life in this game. Not a brag, but a fact they have shown game after game this year.

My picks for this week, and if I go 5-5 I will be lucky enough to buy another Lotto ticket! Eagleville-because I believe in Coach S and Eagleville. Independence-because until somebody beats them they are hot. BA MTCS-only because I met their Coach at Chef Wang's and liked the way he was telling two young men the importance of GRADES! Baylor-and I truly hope I am wrong on this one! Lebanon-hard to beat them AND the 'lift' at home. W. Blount-because young Mr Gulmire has a broken hand. Hope I am wrong on this one also. Cleveland Dobyns-Bennett-they are having a great year and may make it to the big game this year with Oak Ridge being down. Sycamore-because it is their homecoming and it is easier to spell than Greenbriar! I firmly believe ALOT of folks are gonna pass me this week!
