Middle Tennesse has produced a lot of great kickers in the past couple of years who are kicking at DI schools.
What they all have in common is consistency and range. PAT's need to be automatic, 50 yard range on a FG needs to be routine, and kick-off hang times in the 3.80 - 3.90 second range. Also, the biggest change from High School to college is learning to place kick from the ground (there is no block used in college) and still have quick elevation on the kick to avoid being blocked by much taller and more athletic linemen in college.
Hope this helps and good luck.
