Congrats to the Oneida Lady Indians and their very great coach Phil Newport. They played very well in the Championship against an excellent opponent... Good Luck to all 3 teams in the next tourney!!!

I thought Fairview Boys looked very good in the finals..even though, they didn't come out on top...They looked like a more solid team than Oneida and should do well in the next tourney. Oneida played well, but #45 breaking his ankle late in the game will definitely hurt them as they move on.. Does anyone know what happen during the Semi-finals with the Fairview girls coach...I heard some rumors but don't know any facts about him kicking chairs and showing no class after losing to Oneida.

Oneida will be tough to handle. The still have Welch, with her tough defensive skills, They have S. Bond, who is an outstanding shooter. Look for Phillips to be an big factor this season. To only mention a few of there young players.

I didn't get to watch the game. How did the team perform? How did the freshman guard play?

Don't leave Ashley Howard and Millicent out of the mix for Wartburg.

I would like to wish the Lady Highlanders good luck and hope you have a great season. It has been a long time since SHS has been on the winning side of things. I believe that their last successful season was back in 1998. (The year they had the 3 great seniors that signed college scholarships). I know it will be a rough rode on the way back up, but I believe in time they can do it. Coach Kries does have his work cut out for him; but there's a good group of girls at SHS to work with. GOOD LUCK SHS!!! GO HIGHLANDERS!!!
