  1. You are right, I do not know the psyche of the team. I am just making an educated guess... Think of it naturally, if the last time you played in a certain stadium, in the playoffs, your hopes and dreams were taken away when you were the heavy favorite... You would obviously remember that game and everything about it. Deep down there will be doubt in the hearts of the Maryville players, especially the seniors who were on the field that day two years ago, that is all I am saying. I could be totally wrong, and maybe they have even forgotten that they lost that game with a chance to play for the state championship.... but I highly doubt it.
  2. Don't be bitter... I will never forget that night in Shields Stadium, I witnessed an amazing Maryville team display their power over us, and it was quite impressive. We were happy to get that far and the outcome to me is trivial. We are not in the semi's this year, but Maryville and MoWest are. I just know there are seniors on that Maryville team that remember the heartbreak as that field goal went through the posts. I just wanted to remind all the Maryville faithful of what happened last time they came to Morristown West overconfident... and i guarantee if there is any stadium in the state of TN that Maryville does not want to play in come Friday night... it is Burke-Toney. Oh, and BTW, what are you talking about game winning field goal in Murfreesboro... they lost 21-0... which is apparently better than Maryville would have done since they were sitting at home that week.
  3. I think we all remember the day about 2 years ago when Maryville came to Morristown West as confident or even more confident than they are right now! Yes, that's right, all the seniors on this Maryville squad remember that cold Saturday morning and don't think for one minute that it hasn't made them a little nervous.... maybe even a little scared... A Beautiful Saturday Morning Go MoWest!
  4. I would much rather see Oak Ridge pull this one out, but it's just not going to happen. Good luck Wildcats
  5. Some things that I read on here are so ridiculously stupid. I cannot wait until Saturday when I can broadcast all over this website, "I TOLD YOU SO!". Maryville is going down. Then we'll see what happens in murfreesboro.
  6. Let's do a little role playing here: I now have the mindset of a typical Rebel fan, but am actually a Viking supporter. I have never seen the Rebels play, but I am convinced they are garbage and unworthy of even playing our team. I sit at home and have absolutely no life except for thinking up what I imagine as clever ways to make fun of next week's opponent. Here is what I would say: "The Rebels are worthless and don't deserve to even play us. We could beat the Dallas Cowboys, bring them on next. Maryville hasn't played anybody, and their region is garbage. You guys are terrible. That's right I haven't seen you play, and I don't know what I'm talking about, but there are other dummies who agree with me so we must be right. We are indeed the world's greatest. Bla Bla Bla, i'm such a loser but I think i'm soo cool. Oh yeah, you wanna go to Hooters after the game and eat some hot wings and talk about how we can never get with such hot chicks like that, or any girl for that matter. We're the coolest guys ever!"
  7. So what makes Maryville so good in your opinion Maryville fans? Their running game? Passing game? Defense?
  8. Hey now, before you go pointing any fingers, think about what you are saying. I think you have to ask why are the kids themselves not getting up for a game such as this??? It shouldn't be totally the coaches job to get his players pumped for what could possibly be there last football game. That should come from their heart. They need to wake up and play like they can, play like the State champions that everyone knows they can be. They need some leaders to step up and get on their teamates butts when it needs to be done. And as for the comment earlier about "Stickley and Wilson were tiptoeing through the tulips", I loved that one, and how true it was. I guess they thought they were bullfighting and used the ole "O-lay" move, but it wasn't working. How bout ya HIT somebody!
