Dominate is a strong word. Beat WC and STown by a couple of baskets and got a lot of breaks from the officals. They certainly came together and played well as a team. The best I've seen them play all year.

He was basically the head coach on defense and he's going to bring his on offensive coordinator so things won't change a whole lot as far as the coaching is concerned.His offensive coordnator is a good one.Young and very knowledgeble about the game.Coach Spivey will do a great job dealing with the parents and the community.Trust me he has plenty of exprience with dealing with people in Lewis Co.So he is more than prepared for this.Give him some time.He's a good one and like I said before he's also a great person.Your kids will love playing for him! Be patient though!!!!!!!!!

South Pitt was one of the best teams that I have seen play in a class A state championship game.I was completely amazed at there play on both sides of the ball.It's there's to lose next year.I think we all know the winner of the quarterfinal game next year is your state champion(Trousdale Co./South Pitt)! These two teams have waty too much.I was very,very impressed with South Pitt. Seems like the players were also good kids and that means alot!

Like I said in the other post your administration has made a tremendous hire! The one thing you are going to do is play defense.The man can coach it.As far as the offense you will probably see a more spread out version of the wing-t.I would think he will throw it a little more than what Coach Sharp did.With the athletes South Fulton has got they will be able to contend on a yearly basis in your region.He will be prepared and he knows how to relate to kids.A great,great loss for Lewis Co.Let the excitement begin!!!!!!!!!

A great hire!He did have one of the best defenses in the state last year and will probably bring a wide open version of the wing-t.I know this guy and have coached against him and you're getting a good one.Ever who made the hire better pat him on the back because this guy is that good!

That region just got tougher with this new coach.Two state championships at a 5-A school as offensive coor.that's impressive.He shouldn't have any problem in Class A then! Eagleville always has GREAT athletes! A good coach will get the best out of them.Good luck next year!

I live over this way and this has been going on for awhile.Coach Spivey has been at Lewis Co. for 12 years and from talking to people his Dad is in bad health and wants to get closer to him.Kelly is from McKenzie and he also wants to become a head coach.Sounds to me it would be a great fit and with the circumstances it would be great for Coach Spivey.Of all of the other coaches mentioned on here he is the man for the job! Great coach but even better person!

If it's Kelly Spivey from Lewis Co. then you got a good one! The guy can coach and demands alot from his players.That area just got a little more interesting! I can promise you this you will have one of the better defenses in West Tn.Trust me people he is a good one.Get behind him and support him!

Mt.Pleasant will be fine.They are the team to beat because they have won it the last four years.It's amazing what a good coach can do.Coach Smith is one of the best around regardless of who he has on his team.Evidently the kids like playing for him.When they played Wayne Co. he had all 73 dressed.The guy does a great job! Region 5 and 6 has to figure a way to get to the big dance.It got alot harder with the new coaches they got at Union City.Put them with those athletes and you have a pretty good nucleus for years to come.And after watching South Pitt in the championship game we don't have a kid who can match up with any of their kids and that is including Marco.They were in a different league than us.Kind of disheartening to tell you the truth.And lets not even talk about Trousdale Co.I hear they are loaded.The good thing about that is our winner in the West will only have to play one of them. Good luck to everyone because Class A football will be real interesting next year!

just got news with the new plant coming to waynesboro,which is a miracle in itself,A couple of kids came and looked at the school friday.they are linemen type players who played for a 4-a team in east tn.one of the players is about 6'2 260 a soph.and the other is a freshman 6'4 and 220.good looking kids who made all region this past year.hope they come to the boro! collinwood is the team to beat. everybody else is playing for second.as far as the prediction you better not overlook the other teams.wayne co. and mt.pleasant have their work cut out for them.if i know those two coaches they will kill them in the weightroom! these two believe in winning games in the off season not during the season.the players from both schools say there off season stuff is almost not human,but that's the way they do it,and believe in it.good luk to all teams and you will see some surprises!

I feel that Collinwood will not only win the region but will beat South Pittsburg in the state championship game.Here is how the region will pan out: 1.Collinwood 2.Perry Co. 3.Zion Christian 4.Columbia Academy 5.Cornersville 6.Moore County 7.Huntland 8.Wayne County 9.Mt.Pleasant This region is going to be very surprising with some of the upcoming teams.I wish them the best of luck!

If that is true then you are getting a good one! Very organized and loves to run the football off tackle whether they are under center or in shotgun which they were most of the time from mid season on.His QB will dictate alot of the things he wants to run.He probably got a HUGE recommendation from Coach Rankin since he was under him for a few years.Also coached at BGA.You got a good man and a good football coach.Young and energetic so give him some time.Excellent choice!

A great kid who was a fullback last year and the coaches moved him to a pulling guard so there team would be better.If there ever was a player that deserves this it's Dakota! We didn't block him all night when we played them.Very deserving!
